Up to now, there have been lots of opinions on “how to be a good parent”. The popular point of view is that a wonderful parent should be the best teacher, an active listener and a person who can express the love to the children. In a course of my life, I have learned a number of important lessons that were taught to me by my parent and since then I have not found out those valuable things anywhere else.

                To begin with, a parent should be the best teacher. They should teach their children how to live with others and get along well with them. That will help the children live in harmony with everyone. It is not only with the family but also with friends. Everyone knows that we usually get along well, but sometimes we argue and fight with each other. However, instead of fighting, we are able to sit down and talk to each other about our problems in a calm way. This enables us to solve all of our problems easily.

Another thing that is the parent’s love should be expressed to the children in order to make them closer and trust each other. Therefore, the real love will be kept in heart and the parent will be considered as a role model. The children need a lot of care from the parent, who helps them do everything if necessary. Until now, I have never forgotten my mother’s care when I was sick.

Finally, the parent tries to listen to the children so that they both treat each other well as friends and share their difficulties. In addition, listening and understanding go along with each other and bring good results. This means that misunderstanding disappear and partners reach agreement about what has been discussed although it is always difficult for the two generations to make friendship and to express sympathy.

In conclusion, there are a lot of ways to be a good parent. But in my opinions, a good parent should have three qualities mentioned above. Without my parent, I think I couldn’t have a good career, working for a well-known foreign company at present.
