Epilogue

More than a year had passed.
More than a year since Wooyoung and San moved into that little house with a cherry tree in the garden and a white painted gate.
More than a year since the day Wooyoung first saw Jian.
A year.
A year since the day Jian first entred their home.
Almost a year.
Almost a year since the day a car had hit her and killed her.
The trunk was still there, in its place, in the garden, because even if the branchles were broken and dried up, it was still alive and Wooyoung and San didn't feel like removing it.
They missed Jian.
They had known her for a very short time, yet they missed her.
But they still moved forward.
They had cried. They had been sad.
But then they still started smiling, laughing, being happy, again.
Even without her.
That day they were walking home, at sunset, together, holding hands.
And then San saw her.
She was next to the trunk, looking at the shoots on it with a light smile.
She was... evanescent.
A bit like a ghost.
But it was her and she was there.
-Woo...- San whispered. -There's Jian.-
-Hey.- Jian only said, raising her face and smiling at them.
There was a moment of silence.
-Is it really you?- Wooyoung asked then, taking a step forward, while holding San's hand.
The girl smiled again.
-I would kick you in your pretty nice ass to show you that I'm here, if only I could.-
