Topic: Man is a mystery. It needs to be unravelled, and if you spend your whole life unravelling it, don't say that you've wasted time. I'm studying that mystery because I want to be a human being.

How do you know whether you understand a person or not? I believe that man is a mystery, all of us have secrets which cannot be unravelled. To actually know a person, we need to spend our whole life with him/her, although it may not bring a satisfying result. However, our desire to explore and comprehend is admirable, because our minds are not the same as other animals. In fact, it is our desire that makes us human. Continuous range of thoughts separates us from our previous kind, and enables us to stand at the top of the food chain.

In my opinion, man is an ambiguous mystery. By saying that I mean we cannot judge anyone by their looks, we need to feel and see through their hearts. However, to be able to see through a person is a sophisticated task, because we cannot predict exactly what one is having on ones mind and if one will change as time passes. Even our habits, hobbies and interests are distinctive, let alone personality, moral belief or lifestyle. Hence, it is extremely arduous to reach a complete conclusion about a person. The world, I believe, is not crystal-clear. It is formed by the equilibrium of black and white, negative and positive; nevertheless, there are always spots in the middle which are neither black nor white, but the combination of them, grey. So are human. We do not expose our souls to the society, and we try to hide our secrets as hard as possible.

I can see that we desire to unravel the mystery of our own kind. It takes us a lifetime to understand certain parts of man, and this is regarded as time-consuming and worthless. Nonetheless, I have confidence that those who refuse to be involved in this exploration do not belong to our kind. As mentioned above, we are inspired to discover ourselves, and this is the reason why we differ from lower-levelled animals. Our minds are stimulated to think constantly, even when we are sleeping, our brains produce dreams. Knowledge is undefinable in terms of amount, yet with our persistence of searching, our knowledge develops on a daily basis. Other animals do not own these features. They mainly follow their instincts and barely recall their past or predict their future.

Bear in mind that you are a human being, and to study the mystery of man is what a human being must do. Keep exploring and fill your mind with knowledge until you breathe the last breath, because humans do not refrain themselves from such a wonderful task. I strongly believe that ones who succeed in devoting their life to exploration are the most admirable, and yet, the saddest. The capability of understanding is overwhelming, which brings us wisdom and sadness, as we see how the world operates.
