"Farlan let's go back- why did you drag me here-" I stared at the heavy door leading to Levi's office.

i don't want to be here-

"You're the one who decided to apologize, I simply led you to Levi," Farlan shrugged, pushing me forward. "Go."

"I've decided to give up on apologies- misunderstandings and mistrust actually make relationships more interesting-" I began to back away from the door.

it's dynamic that way-

"Y/N-"

"Farlan," I turned, grabbing him by the shoulders, "I really appreciate everything you've done for me today- please go in there and tell your boss that I need more time."

"You-"

"I owe you one-"

"Can the two of you stop screaming in front of the fucking door?" A sharp voice from inside the study called out, "enter if you have something to say."

oh god- oh fuck

"Farlan I'm going to be sick-" I looked back over at him, pleading.

can we both just call it quits and move on- i don't want to apologize anymore

"Lady Y/N had something to say to you," Farlan announced without a second of hesitation, taking advantage of my state of shock at his instant betrayal to shove me into the room and shut the door behind me.

"FARLAN WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME-" I shrieked, trying to force the door open to no avail.

HE'S TRAPPED ME IN HERE

"Stop struggling, it's embarrassing," Levi grumbled from behind me.

"I'm actually going to die."

"You're being dramatic," he sighed loudly.

well i guess now that i'm in here i should get it over with

"Levi-" I turned around to face him, my apology stopping in my throat as soon as I saw what he was doing.

"What do you want?" Levi sat at his desk, hunched over a crudely crafted necklace. The notable part of all of that was the pair of glasses perched on the bridge of my nose.

oh my god-

"You're gorgeous," I murmured, mouth agape, "I look totally amazing in that-"

"What the fuck is wrong with you," his/my brows furrowed as he spoke, only adding to the cold mysterious vibe that the glasses gave off.

"Where did you get those-" I came closer to get a better look, leaning over the desk to grab them off of my face.

"Give it back-" Levi grumbled, reaching out for them as I put them on.

"I didn't know you had something like this-" I hummed, holding them out in front of me. "I'm sure your fans would get a kick out of this."

"Stop playing around with those, they're fucking expensive."

"Oh come on, it's just a pair of glasses," I scoffed at him, putting them on. "See? Nothing bad is going to happen- you can always buy a new pa-" my voice faltered as my vision suddenly lit up with an array of different colors. "What the-"

"As I said, they're expensive, Levi sighed, grabbing them from me. "They're used to identify magical items."

"Ah," I looked them over, "interesting. So, what were you using them for?"

"The necklace, although I'm beginning to think that I spent a shit ton of money on something completely useless."

hmm- i wonder

"So it can only tell you that it's magical and not the item's use?" I frowned down at the simple silver chain and blue crystal on the desk. "What have you tried so far?"

"It isn't protective, nor does it alter your vision, or increase the physical abilities of the wearer," he sighed, "it's useless."

he's right- it's not nearly pretty enough to be worn normally either

"They couldn't have cut the stone to be nicer? At least that way you could wear it normally," I picked it up, putting it on. "I don't think it really suits you-"

"Don't break it-"

"Oh stop nagging, it's not like I'm going to disappear with it or anything," I grumbled, looking up at Levi who was staring at me, dumbfounded. "What are you gaping at?"

is he really that into himself?

"Where the fuck did you go?"

"What are you talking about? I'm right here," I rolled my eyes at him.

"No-" he reached a hand out in my direction waving it around, "no you aren't."

"Yes I am," I grabbed his wrist, "stop trying to prank me it isn't going to work."

"Holy shit, you are there," he frowned.

"Anyone with eyes could tell you that."

"No they couldn't- look in the mirror," he opened up a pocket watch, gesturing for me to look at my reflection in the metal.

"What do you mean-" my words stopped in my throat. "HOLY SHIT I'M INVISIBLE."

"Invisibility? A necklace like that can do that?"

"Wait a second- how do I reappear?" In an instant I could see myself again in the metal reflection. "Oh, it's that easy."

"Interesting," Levi began scribbling something down into a thick notebook, "return the necklace."

"Alright," I sighed, reluctantly taking it off, "regardless of power, that's not the sort of thing I would want to be caught wearing."

it's kinda ugly

and way too heavy

my neck is sore

"Fine," Levi rolled his eyes at me, placing the necklace into a velvet lined box. "What did you even come in here to talk about?"

oh- right

i was supposed to

apologize

"I-" I frowned, "you- I- you-"

"I? What?"

"You hurt me when you pushed me away," I blurted out.

THAT WASN'T EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT I REHEARSED

"Is that all?" He scoffed.

"No wait- that wasn't what I meant to say-" I bit my lip in contemplation. "I was supposed to come here to apologize."

"I don't believe that at all."

"I'm not lying."

"Have you been possessed by a new person?"

"I wish- sadly you're the only one possessing me right now."

"So?"

"I came to apologize because-" I hesitated, "I overreacted and freaked out about something- and I blamed you for everything- despite the fact that I was the one at fault."

i think that's everything

"I can't say I understand it," he paused, a smirk stretching over his features, "but the Y/N is apologizing to me and admitting that she may have done something wrong so I suppose I should accept it and move on."

"You-"

"If only there was a way to capture this moment, it would make for excellent blackmail."

"You're such an asshole," I chuckled, grinning. "For your information, I'm only apologizing because it shows how merciful and generous I can be to even my worst enemies."

"Right," he deadpanned. "I'm sorry for shoving you, did you actually get hurt?"

"Did you think I would lie?" I gasped dramatically, pointing to a small red mark on my arm, "look what you've done to my- our body!"

"You're being ridiculous."

"I'm only looking out for you."

"As if."

"I know," I laughed loudly, "but isn't that a funny thing to hear come out of my mouth?"
