01 First Birthday with You
I sat up on my bed while I arrange myself after sleeping last night for about ten hours. I feel so tired after accompanying my mother to the city’s mall. Ugh, I just hate it, my poor feet, it seemed like she shopped about ten boxes of different stilettos and mountains of clothes. I rolled my eyes as I stared at the bigger pink vacuum I brought yesterday too.
As an advance birthday gift, I ask mum to buy me this ‘Hello Kitty’ printed pink vacuum. I slide my fingers on its smooth container and felt contentment arise inside of me. I smiled sheepishly but when I stared at my mobile phone and saw the same wallpaper of a cucumber, I frowned.
Not even a single birthday greeting from my friends?
Not even one from Jessi my cucumber?!
I frowned further as the idea of them enjoying this short break from school pissed me off. It’s my birthday! They should at least greet me, especially my dear girlfriend right? Arggh.
I slumped myself back from the bed.
It’s my birthday today, it should be special.
But, I think I expected too much.
I closed my eyes again and fell asleep for the second time.
*
I rubbed my eyes and stared at my pink mushroom clock, it read 10:00. I closed my eyes again when it suddenly hit me---
TEN O’CLOCK?! It’s already ten o’clock?! Mum didn’t even----
I jolted from bed and immediately did my morning routine, after awhile, I hurriedly went downstairs when I was greeted by an unimaginable sight. I stopped and stared as I saw mum was being helped by someone yellow in the kitchen. Slowly, I walked towards them and mum turned around to look at me.
“Oh! Birthday girl is already awake.” Mum went towards me and kissed me on the cheek. “Happy birthday my dear Fany,”
I stared at the stranger and mum smiled at me.
“How about you say ‘hello’ to her?” She nudged me and well, the person turned around to look back at me.
“Happy birthday, Fany-ah,” She uttered as she wore an apron in which the words ‘best cook ever’ were sewed. I stared at her and I suddenly cried.
“I thought you forgot, you cucumber!” I said irritated and approached her to embrace her. She was too surprise with my sudden action but embraced me back nevertheless. We parted as soon as we could feel mum’s stare at us.
“It’s a plan, you know.” She said as she patted me on my head and we suddenly hear mum chuckle.
“Fany didn’t know we’re planning to celebrate her birthday. It’s a surprise, good thing I called Jessica to help me out in the kitchen and she complied.” She winked at Jessi and me.
I stared at Jessi and pouted at her.
“Hey, are you angry?” She grinned at me mischievously and I slapped her lightly on the arm.
“Yes, I am. Not even texting me, cucumber!” I yelled at her and mum just chuckled.
“Anyway, I’ll just go to the nearest cafe to buy you a cake.” Mum waved at us. “You look out for the spaghetti, Jessica.” Jessi nodded at her and we watched her go.
“Are you really angry?” She asked me again and I turned away to avoid her. “Hey,” She suddenly wrapped her arms around me and kissed me on my cheek. “Happy birthday, my girl.”
“If you think tempting me can make me forgive you, then well, you’re mistaken.” I held my chin up as I unwrapped her arms on me. She pouted which made me feel guilty. “Silly, I’m just kidding.” She smiled and glanced at the boiling meat on the stove.
“So how did mum, uhh, call you?”
“She suddenly called me on my phone using your number.” She admitted and I rolled my eyes. So that’s the reason behind as to why my phone suddenly disappeared without a trace and I just found it on my underwear cabinet. Huh.
“I’m surprised she didn’t call Tae first?” I said in doubt.
“Tae’s having a vacation with her mum,”
“Really..?” It’s unusual but I think they’re getting along well now, Tae and her mum. I remembered her calling me about her mum buying her a new bicycle and tons of uhh butt-stuff, although I can’t comprehend what ‘butt’-stuff meant. Maybe baseball bats, not butts.
“That’s what your mum said. She can’t reach Taeyeon.”
“Oh,” I stared at her as she cut the hotdogs now. “So what did mum tell you?” I asked curiously.
“Same stuff,” She glanced at me. “Like, why did I dye my hair blonde and why does my face always look the same with every expression I try to make.” I think I heard her sigh and I giggled.
“Not funny at all,” She scowled at me.
“So you really think you’re the best cook huh?” I said as I pointed at her apron.
“At least I know how to cook, unlike you.” She grinned at me annoyingly and I glared at her.
“Are you trying me?” I raised an eyebrow when she suddenly laughed. “Hey, what’s funny?”
“Nothing, I just love pissing you off.” She grinned some more and I curl my lips into an evil-like smile.
“Not because I am your girlfriend, you can piss me off whenever you like.” I announced.
“I know,” She stared at me and flicked me on the forehead.
“Ouch, that hurts!” I rubbed my forehead. “Now you’re hurting the birthday girl!” I continued to rub after turning my back on her. This Jessi, not even greeting me over a text message then now pissing me off on my birthday! Hmph.
I moved my neck when I felt her chin on my shoulder.
“Sorry,” She smiled and stared at me.
“Do you really think---“ She suddenly turned me to face her and kissed me. I was wide-eyed at first but closed my eyes when I felt her lips moved with mine. She pushed me slowly towards the kitchen counter and went to land kisses on my neck, I felt something... Uhh, what is it? I sighed heavily, what the hell am I feeling~ I feel kinda hot...
I closed my eyes when she suddenly stopped and I heard her sniff.
“Ugh, the meat!!” She panicked and hurried to the stove to turn it off. “That was close!” She blew air from her mouth and glanced at me. I scratched my cheek and looked away. I feel... uhh... shy with what happened... I mean... uhh.... I felt her tongue on my... uhh... neck... uhhh... I palmed my face in frustration before hearing her laugh.
“What now?” I narrowed my eyes on her as she continued to laugh.
“You looked funny.” She admitted.
“It’s because you’re uhh...” I wanted to nag her about licking me! I’m not some kind of ice cream which she could lick. I groaned and sighed as I feel awkward.
“Are you all right?” She asked innocently.
“After you licked me..?” I raised an eyebrow and she looked away while looking innocently on the ceiling. “Eww,” I got the towel hanging on the holder and wiped my neck. And she was staring at me with a blank face.
I stared back at her and turned my back, heading towards the living room when I suddenly felt her hand on my wrist. I looked at her for a second and looked away again. Ugh, why lick me?
“Uhh,” I glanced up at her. “Sorry for licking you, accidentally.” She winced at me and I suddenly chuckled. “What’s funny?”
“Because you licked me, accidentally...”
“I-I...” She sighed heavily. “Okay, sorry for licking you on purpose!” She admitted and bit her lip.
I approached her and peck her on the lips.
“It’s okay...” I started and she looked at me. “I liked it.” I winked at her before turning around, greeted by the face of my mum.
OH MY GOD, DID SHE HEAR IT? DID SHE? OMG, DID SHE SEE ME PECK JESSI’S LIPS? OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. Please, no... don’t...
“Is the spaghetti up?” She smiled at us and I suddenly felt relieved she didn’t see anything.
“Yes, auntie...” Jessi stared blankly at mum then back at me.
“Anyway, Jessica, your hair sure is really blonde.” Mum started again. Uhh. “Won’t you like to dye it back to its original colour?” She glanced back at Jessi as she placed the cake on the fridge.
“Ah,” Jessi’s mouth opened and I shook my head in annoyance of my mum’s statement. “I’ll consider that auntie...” She said softly until mum turned to look at me now. I felt nervous as our eyes met.
“What did you lock?” She asked and I stared at her. “I heard you say to Jessica you locked it?” Mum twitched her eyebrows on me.
“Oh! Haha! I thought I locked the door! Ahahahaha...” I laughed nervously at her so she heard ‘I locked it’ instead of ‘I liked it’. I wonder if I should buy mum a hearing aid...? At least she didn’t see us. I sighed when suddenly we heard the door bell rang for about three times.
“Coming~” Mum wiped her hands on the nearby kitchen towel and dashed towards the door. I stared curiously before I saw about five people crowding in front of mum. I glanced to look at Jessi and she mouthed a ‘happy birthday’ to me.
Suddenly I was being crushed by five people.
“Ugh, you guys...I... can’t... b-breathe...” I complained as I feel tons of arms all over my body while I heard Jessi laughing out loudly behind.
When they let go of me, I stared at them happily.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIFFANY!!” Five of them greeted me in unison.
“Happy, happy birthday SEXY, MARVELOUS AND STUNNING Fany-unni!” Seohyun held out her gift to me.
“Thank you!” I smiled at all of them and I punched Tae lightly. “I thought you’d skip your best friend’s birthday huh!” I punched her again and she just giggled.
“Why would I?” Taeyeon said before leaning closer. “I just want your mum to meet Sica,” She whispered before snuggling herself to Sunny’s arm.
Uh, dorks.
Before going to the table to arrange the plates, I just noticed that Yul is missing. Eh, where is that girl?
“Hey, where’s Yuri?” I questioned them before seeing Yoona biting her lip.
“Well, she said... we should just hand you her gift...” Sunny scratched her back.
“Yuri is still angry at Yoona?” I sighed and stared at Yoona.
“What is it, really Taeyeon?” I stared at Tae. “I know you know something...”
“Guys~ Let’s eat!” Mum called out which made us stop and eat first. It’s my time to interrogate Taeyeon.
*
Jessi winked at me, motioning me to go with her to my room. What is this girl planning? I stared at her as she made her way upstairs. I followed and burst the door open, seeing her sitting comfortably on my bed while touching my mushroom clock.
“Go tomorrow to my house at nine o’clock. Your birthday gift’s there.” She stood up and kissed me on the cheek.
“It’s my birthday... and now you’re asking me to—“ I said in annoyance.
“It’s too big, I can’t bring it here.” She pouted and caressed me. “Besides, your mother might find out.” She sighed and embraced me.
“Jessi, you’re always doin---“ She shushed me.
“We better go down. I think they’re already looking at us.”
*
“Tae!” I successfully managed to yank her from Sunny’s arms this time. HAHAHAHA. “Come here!” I pulled her from the corner and smirked at her. “Tell it to me!! Or else!” I pulled Jessi towards me and let Taeyeon see her cold glare. “Now tell us!”

“B-But..” Taeyeon was stuttering before looking around. “Where’s Yoona?”
“She’s comparing who has a sweeter potato, Seohyun or her,” Jessica crossed her arms.
“Erm...”
“You should tell us or it would get worse! Besides, it’s my birthday!!”
“Erm...”
“Stop erm-ing!”
“Er---“
“Kim Taeyeon!” I rolled my eyes and she looked down. “It’s my birthday.” I smiled sweetly, trying to convince her.
“Well, Yuri said... Yoona did something...”
“What is it?” Jessi and I were waiting for her to answer.
She sighed.
“Yuri said Yoona followed her on the park. Then she tried to drive Yoona away but Yoona wouldn’t leave her... so she just ignored Yoona until she accidentally slept...”
Our eyes not leaving Taeyeon’s.
“Then when she woke up, she saw Yoona giggling while looking at her phone. She ran after Yoona to know what she was giggling at and found out Yoona captured an image of her while sleeping.”
“Just that..?” Jessica said, disinterested.
“Yoona captured an image of Yuri while her tongue was sticking out!!” Taeyeon panicked while Jessi and I burst out in laughter.
“What’s funny!!” She frowned.
“Well, that’s too shallow!! That’s it?!”
“Yuri got angry!”
“Yuri sure is childish!” I finally said. “Just that? Just that?” I nudged her.
Taeyeon ruffled her own hair and she whispered something to us. Our eyes widened.
Omo, what a nice gossip to celebrate my birthday!
Niyahahahahahaha~
02 First Time?!
Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.
Close your eyes. Open your eyes.
In one, two, three—
“Tiffany!!!” My eyes widened, I would just be knocking on the Jung’s residence when her mother suddenly opened it, her teeth glistened in front of me, arms then wrapped around me.
“Good morning auntie,” I bowed and she patted me on the head.
“Sica told me you’ll arrive soon so I decided I should go to the market to buy snacks,”
“Oh, auntie you shouldn’t really bother— “
But she smiled at me widely and embraced me for the second time.
“It’s all right! It’s all right!” She nodded her head and motioned me to go inside. “Thanks for taking care of my daughter Tiffany!” She beamed at me and dashed outside the gate.
She’s sort of uhh weird now. Not that I really care but well, she used to act neutral to me but now it felt like she liked me; Too much, that is.
I wondered what Jessi will give me though. She said it’s something big. Hmm.
A big stuffed bear maybe..?
Nah, she hates stuffed toys, telling me they’re only for children
A big cucumber plush..?
Erm, she would throw it or she’ll feel nauseous upon seeing it.
A pink television set..??
Hmm, impossible!
A bigger version of my pink vacuum..?
BUT THE ONE I HAVE IS ALREADY THE BIGGEST IN THE MALL!!!
A big pink cotton candy..?
But she told me that it’s important to take care of our teeth...
Aha! I think I know!! Maybe it’s a life-size Barbie stand!! (Dressed in pink of course)
I smirked at the thought and pushed them away while I neared the staircase.
I went inside and wandered my eyes around, Jessi’s in her room. So I went up the stairs and knocked on her door. No answer.
Is she sleeping?
I guess so. I sighed and turned the knob and was surprised to know it’s not locked. I dragged my feet inside and stared at her.
This is not Jessi.
She stared back at me and smiled.
This is not Jessi. I shook my head and turned my back to her.
“Fany-ah,”
But it’s the same voice. Oh my God, is she a doppelganger or what?
I turned around again and she was already in front of me.
“Hey, where are you going?” Her eyebrows twitched while looking at me.
I screamed and closed my eyes.
I opened them again and it’s the same.
“WHY DID YOU...” I sighed heavily. “WHY DID YOU DYE YOUR HAIR?!!” I frowned and stomped my feet.
“Because your mum doesn’t like it...” She confessed. She’s right. I gave up and sat on the bed beside her. I ran my fingers towards her now-brown hair. I stared at it. I miss her blonde hair... so much... I stared back at her face and she smiled gently.
“Don’t you like it?” She asked.
“I do,” I fixed my eyes on her. “It felt like you’ve became prettier and...” I admitted.
Well, it really fit her but I guess it would take time before I get used to it.
“I thought I’m going to re-dye it again,” She got strands of her hair and looked at it. “It would take time before I get used to it myself,” She chuckled and I nodded.
“So,” She bit her lip and glanced at the corner of her room. I followed her gaze and saw something that was covered by a white cloth. It’s really big, but what is it? It reminded me of the horror movies’ furniture, covered with white cloths, in a haunted house.
A pink chair..?
I looked at her then she looked back at me and shot me her malicious grin.
“Such a tease!” I slap her lightly.
“Am I?” Her lips grinned further while her hand traced my arms. I shivered. “Happy birthday,” She leaned closer and pecked me on the lips.
“I hope you’ll like it,” She patted me on the head and stood up. I observed her as she slowly remove the white cloth from the thing.
I fixed my eyes on it. The sophisticated golden frame drew vines on its corner. I stared at the centre and my eyes got filled with different hues and pictures. I glanced at Jessi with my mouth slightly opened then back at the big picture. Processing the image in my head, my eyes sparkled as it stood in front of me. It’s me there in the big frame: Me in a mosaic.
I walked slowly towards it, my fingers touched the softness of the canvass, I saw the smaller images create a bigger picture of me.
“You did this...?”
“Yes,” She smiled. “Did you like it?” She sighed as if hoping.
“Of course...” I trailed off. “I d-don’t even know what to say... It’s really big...”
“Nothing’s bigger than love,” She smiled. “My love,”
All I could do was to contain her in my arms.
“Thank you, Jessi...” I closed my eyes.
“Anything for you...” And I could feel her lips creating a gorgeous smile. “Happy birthday my girl,”
We parted and stared at each other for a moment. I suddenly chuckled as I’ve felt the different ambiance around us.
I watched her fingers thumbed my cheeks and bit by bit, I saw her lips nearing mine. Just inches, I tasted them which made me shut my eyes.
Her was hand on my arm, and it took time for her to push me slowly somewhere. I obliged and walked backwards until my legs bumped on the bed and I sat, her lips never leaving mine. I felt her lips, deeper and deeper.
Then my eyes glittered, even wanting more, as I stared at her hefty eyes.
She put her chin on my shoulder. Her brown hair streamed down through her beautiful back.
“You want love?” She whispered softly and I felt shivers down my spine until the last tip of my hair strands.
I nodded at her. Her eyes held me with utmost care.
“We’ll make it,” She pushed me gently down the bed and got on top of me.
I felt my heart beat so fast, like it would be gone out of my chest as she caressed my face, my hair until my neck. There’s nothing more precious than this moment. My eyes lingered longer on her brown hair and noticed she looked more stunning than usual, fiercer with the expression on her face.
“Is this all right?” She asked after leaning forward, capturing my attention. Her nose’s tip touched mine.
I nodded and she smiled in contentment.
“I’ll be gentle,”
I nodded again and shut my eyes closed. I felt her warm hand on my thigh after she kissed me lovingly on the forehead. I trust her.
I felt like a feather. I drifted with the wind, slowly as if I felt heaven in an instant when suddenly I’ve woken up with a loud thump and cracked bones.
Ugh.
Jessi pulled my arms hard and it hurts.
I opened my eyes and stared at her mother. MOTHER?!
Oh, no. Not---
“I already bought snacks!!” She smiled widely at us. “What are you guys doing anyway?” She asked innocently.
“I-I...” Jessi was stuttering. “I was massaging her because...” She massaged my arms. “She felt stiff after we watched a movie... f-for too l-long...” She managed to say.
“Oh! I have some green tea leaves here! They say it could make the muscles and bones relax! I’ll prepare one for Tiffany then!!” Her mother beamed at us while she clapped her hands happily and went downstairs.
We stared at each other.
“That was close,” I managed to say and blushed after realizing what we supposed to do awhile ago.
She scratched her cheek and held my hand.
“Erm, we’ll try again next time.” She looked down and blushed. Ah, so cute.
I giggled and nodded.
“How can I bring this home anyway?” I pointed at my mosaic self and furrowed my brows.
“I hired someone to deliver it to your place,” She proudly said.
“Then my mum will see!”
“Well I told your mum that you win the Mosaic Contest,” She smirked.
“WHAT?! But I don’t even have any creativity in my veins! How could she bel---“
“But she believed.” She smiled and I felt defeated.
“Okay then...” I pouted.
*
“Why are you with me?!” We heard Yuri’s angry voice downstairs. We imagined her stomping her feet hard with her face crumpled. And we’re right.
After drinking the green tea, I felt my stomach gurgling. Ugh, this doesn’t feel right. We then went to open the door and saw Yoona and Yuri, not looking at each other. Yuri totally looked pissed off while their wrists were handcuffed. Wait, they also wear the same clothes! They looked like Upin and Ipin of Disney. (a/n: this is so corny!! Just uhh dun mind)
True, true, true! (Still referring to Upin and Ipin -__-)
“Err, why are they here?” I asked when suddenly Yuri yelled incoherent words at Jessica. Jessica glared at her which made Yuri stop. I laughed.
“Why are they here eh?” I asked again.
“They are the one who’ll deliver the canvass,” Jessica said proudly.
“HOW COULD WE DELIVER THE DAMN---- UGH!!!!” Yuri yelled again while Yoona just looked down. Yuri pulled her wrist away which made the handcuff scraped on Yoona’s wrist.
“That hurts!!!” Yoona yelled back then looked away in defeat when she was met by Yuri’s flaming eyes. And it made Yoona bit her lip.
Is it my imagination or Yoona was blushing...?!
THEY LOOK SO CUTE!!
“Why are they uhh?”
“Well, it’s detective SunYeon’s work.” Jessica crossed her arms. Proud like she was the mastermind and SunYeon did a very, very good job in making her schemes accomplished. “Anyway, go and deliver this.” Jessica carried the big canvas slowly in front of them. “Take care of it or else---“ Jessi smirked evilly.
“How are we supposed to carry that!!!” Yuri complained. “With this state?! You guys should stop this absurdity. Even going to my house secretly while I’m sleeping and handcuffing me with this---“ She stared at Yoona disgustedly and babbled incoherent words to herself again.
“We’re trying to make them... friends or more,” Jessica whispered, not even minding Yuri’s mouth which was talking incessantly. Oh yes, I got it. I smiled.
Then suddenly a large ice cream(!) truck stopped in front of the gate. Its music filled the air, making all of us looked at it.
“They are here.” Jessica said. “Hey you two, delivering would be easy now since both of you would be riding a truck.” Jessi was controlling her laugh before we heard the honking of the truck.
“Oh, Sooyoung and Hyoyeon,” I announced while the four of us saw them in front of the truck.
“Let’s go future lovers,” Sooyoung pulled Yuri and Yoona to go inside the back of the truck. Hyoyeon and Jessi carried the canvass towards the back of the truck too. Ugh, the music of the truck is really annoying. It’s synonymous with the Star Wars entrance song!! It made my head hurt and my stomach is kinda hurting too.
“WHAT?! We would be riding inside the back of the truck?! NO WAY!!” Yuri tried to remove Sooyoung’s hands on her but was stopped when Sooyoung smiled at her.
Pheromones, I thought.
“There!” Sooyoung wiped her hands after closing the back door of the truck. “Perfect!” She grinned while we hear the yells of Yuri then the banging and kicking of the aluminium door.
We heard Yuri yelled ‘It’s so cold here!!! We’re not frozen fish or meat!! Get us out of here!!! You guys are crazy!!!’ then silence outstood.
Poor truck.
“We’ll get going~” Sooyoung said and waved at us. Jessi posed an okay sign and watched them go. The yelling and banging of the door could still be heard faintly. Wow, I didn’t know Jessi and Sooyoung get along well now..? Hmm.
“Choi and you made up?” I asked her innocently and she just answered with a nod.
“Do you think those two will make up?” I changed the subject after realizing I won’t get any information about how comfortable she looked around Choi now.
“I believe.” Jessi smiled. “Yoona confessed that she like her,” She finally said and we went inside her house.
So that’s why Yoona was not complaining at all! And of course I think Yuri likes her too, after shutting her up with a kiss when Yoona showed her alligator laugh about epic image of Yuri (Yuri sleeping with her tongue sticking out). That’s what Taeyeon whispered to us.
We went inside and I smiled awkwardly being greeted back by Jessi’s mum who held a kettle and a set of teacups.
“Tiffany! I think you need more green tea so that your muscles won’t stiff again.” She smiled while I felt my stomach contracting then aching like some ants swam inside.
This is not good. I nudged Jessi for help.
“Erm,” Jessi finally said.
“Sica dear, you must drink too so that your bones will grow stronger!!” Her mum poured the tea on two cups. I watched Jessi’s eyes widened in disgust.
“W-We have to go mum!!!” Jessi said before she dragged me out of the door.
“Hey!” We heard her mum yell and saw her drinking the whole kettle. “It’s tasty and delicious,” She nodded in contentment and continued to drink the tea.
Eww.
03 First Plan Didn’t Work? Re-plan!
So we’re currently running away – in this case we are walking away– from Miss Teacup (or Jessi’s mother) which just made me drink two cups of tea and now my stomach is going insane. I felt like I would be needing the rest room anytime soon.
I sighed at the thought. This is not good.
“Are you all right?” Jessi asked me as we walked towards my house.
“Y-Yea,” I said with a crumpled face. Damn, my stomach is really aching.
“You seemed not all right,” She stopped and arranged my fringe. Jessi has this habit always, I tried to surpass a smile when I moved my hand and gripped tighter on my stomach.
Prrrrrt~
Oh my god, did I just—
I don’t even—
I covered my face in embarrassment. As I slowly slide my hands down my face, I see Jessi’s unfaltering blank face and newly dyed hair which I’m still not used to.
“I-I....”
She covered her nose and glanced away. I wanted to cry.
“You’re not uhh... feeling good... we should head back home as possible.” She grabbed my hand and we walked. “This is mum’s fault...”
That was so embarrassing to the point that we didn’t talk on the rest of the trip. I wanted to disappear, of all people why should she be the one who’s with me now?
When we reached the house, I gripped tighter on my stomach.
“Do you need any help?” Jessica’s face was very worried while I slightly shook my head. She then proceeded to open the door and discovered it was locked.
“Waa~” I whined while slapped my stomach like a drum to ease the pain, I sat on the doorstep and curved myself to a ball.
Jessi suddenly kicked the door while yelling ‘This is an emergency! Why is there no Aunt Hwang here!’ and she really looked so pissed off as she stomped her feet to walk away.
“Damn it!” She muttered under her breath while I watched her climbed somewhere—
What?!
“Hey...” I said weakly while trying to stop her from climbing towards the balcony of my mother’s room. “J-Jessi... stop....” I buried myself on my knees when we suddenly heard the music of the ice cream truck filling the air. Wow huh, really nice, we arrived before them. What is that ice cream truck? A snail truck?!
Just as I would be looking over the gate, the twig of the tree where Jessi’s hand was holding broke and it was enough for her to fall down on the bushy grass. I closed my eyes taking the pain in and shot them open in an instant, her eyes stared at me, wide-eyed then she suddenly closed them.
Oh my go—
“Jessi!” I crawled like a baby with my hand still on my stomach. “Jessi! Jessi!!!!” I shook her then she slowly opened her eyes, puckering her lips.”Are you you all— prrt—“
“Ahhh~” I cried out which made Jessi burst into laughter, her fingers pinching over her nose. My stomach is aching so much I just wanted to disappear! Feeling embarrassed as ever, I inched away.
“You really need the rest room Fany!” She cried out, still laughing.
“This is your mother’s fault...” I looked down and pouted.
“Ah, it hurts....” She suddenly rolled on the grass while hugging one of her arms. “I think I broke an arm...” She wailed which made me go toward her again – crawling.
“Jessi...” This is so bad. What’s taking the people inside the ice cream truck too long? I glanced over our gate but all I can was the roof of the truck. Damn. “Jess...” Jessi looked over and puckered her lips again.
“Do your lips also hurt?” I asked innocently. “Did they bump the ground when you fall do—“
“Silly!” She slapped me.
“I thought one of your arms was broken? How come—”
“Kiss me,” She puckered her lips and closed her eyes.
“Huh?”
“Kiss me!” She ordered, shutting her eyes more.
“Will this un-break your arm..?”
“Yea, I watched it in Discovery Channel,” She rolled her eyes before I pecked her on the lips.
“Stop kissing each other!!!!”
I pulled away and we both glance to where the voice is— Hyoyeon’s hands perched on her waist, her face looked so haggard.
“S-Sorry...” Jessi sat up and saw Sooyoung opening our front door. “How the hell did she—“
Sooyoung raised a hair clip and winked at us, making Hyoyeon’s eyes turn to heart-shapes.
These people are crazy. Wait...
I suddenly touch my stomach—
EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?! I ran towards the door pushing Sooyoung away to dragged my feet towards the bathroom— kaching~
***
Okay, so while my girlfriend’s in the bathroom, it’s me who’s talking yea?
Jessica’s the name.
I sat up slowly while I watched Tiffany pushed Sooyoung away just so she could use the rest room already. My ears perked up once Hyoyeon’s voice knock the senses out of me.
“We have an emergency!” Hyoyeon came rushing back and forth, panting.
“What is it?” I stood up. I glanced, my eyes fixed on a wet Yuri and wet Yoona walking inside Fany’s house, and Yuri was carrying Yoona in bridal style.
“What happened to Yoona?!” I came running towards them.
“Sooyoung forgot to turn off the freezing temperature at the back of the truck... making Yoona froze....” Hyoyeon looked down while Sooyoung scratched her back.
“I thought—“
“Sica,” Yuri suddenly called out and I noticed she was only wearing a boxer shirt now. Her face was scowling and so pissed off. Oh, her jacket awhile ago is on Yoona’s. “I’ll bring Yoona to Fany’s room.”
I just nodded while all of us followed her with our eyes.
“What took you guys so long?”
“We had been bombarded by children and thought we were selling human ice creams.” Hyoyeon’s face looked so terrified. “It’s such a trauma~”
“Why did you guys forget to turn off the—“
“Why would Yuri choose to bring Yoona in Fany’s room? She could just place Yoona’s body on the living room’s couch..?” Sooyoung said, her innocent face made Hyoyeon slap her. And what more they cut off my sentence. I stared at them blankly.
“Something’s not right...” I narrowed my eyes, realizing what Sooyoung just said.
“When we opened the backdoor of the truck, Yuri was hugging Yoona,” Hyoyeon nodded and it was enough for us to follow Yuri, sat ourselves in front of Tiffany’s door and leaned our ears for an intense eavesdrop session.
“Yoona...”
Yuri’s soft and pleasing voice reached our alert ears. Then what we heard were gentle whines then—
“What are you guys doing here?” Tiffany stared at us, her voice so loud which made all of us dart her our laser beam eyes. “Uhh..?” She grabbed an alcohol inside her pockets and rinsed her hands with it.
We put our index fingers each on our lips to motion her to shush her mouth, she just nodded and sat beside me, her ears pressed on her room’s door too when suddenly it opened and the four of us (Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, me and Tiffany) fell like rolling balls on the floor – maybe the door cannot contain our weight so it opened magically.
“Augh....” I groaned as I feel the heavy weight of the three people above me. I glanced up only to see Yuri – her eyes wide and her mouth closed – her hands on Yoona’s shirt, and was in the act of taking her shirt off.
WHAT THE HELL?!
“What are you guys d-doing here!!” Yuri fixed still-passed-out-Yoona’s shirt down.
“Maybe I should be the one to – oww....” Tiffany groaned, I accidentally kneed on her fingers. “You’re on my room!” She pointed at Yuri when she managed to stand up.
Yuri just stared at Tiffany and turned her body to face us.
“Look, Yoona’s not feeling well. She’s feeling so cold that’s why—“
“You’re gonna make her feel heat?!” Sooyoung said which made Hyoyeon kicked her on the knee. “Ouch, love!”
Tiffany stared at them wide eyed.
“You could have locked the d-door...” Tiffany was blushing and when her gaze fell upon me, she looked away in an instant. Oh gosh, she remembered what happened awhile ago at my room – some unfinished business...
I could suddenly feel my cheeks heating up too and I tried to hide it with my best poker face.
“Look! I’m just changing her clothes because they are wet! Should I let her sleep with wet clothes on?!” Yuri said in an impatient tone and the realization dawned upon us as the four of us nodded together. “You guys are so...” Yuri rolled her eyes.
“Then explain the whining!!” Sooyoung cried out and she was silenced in an instant when Yoona whined while sleeping. Yuri’s eyebrow rose at our perverted thoughts.
“You borrowed my clothes, I see.” Tiffany nodded.
“What? You want us in undies Densie?” Yuri raised an eyebrow.
“Densie?”
I laughed, Tiffany is really dense.
“Never mind Denie.”
“Denie?” Yuri was confused.
So uh, densie for dense and denie for denial. Wow, it’s so lame yea!
After that, Yuri motioned us to go out of Tiffany’s room so that she could change Yoona’s shirt in peace and even telling us it’s not like this would be the first time that she would see melons.
We shrugged it off and went downstairs to put my mosaic Tiffany masterpiece inside the house. Good, it didn’t freeze or turned into a wet-Tiffany. Damn Sooyoung, it’s all her fault!
*
It’s still me Jessica, ‘coz Tiffany’s too tired to talk and to narrate. Her stomach has been drained, I think..? And I promise I won’t be as dense as her.
So after a while, Tiffany prepared coffee for all of us. When Yuri went downstairs, all our eyes were fixed upon hers, following her every movement.
“Do you like Yoona?” Sooyoung blurted out. She’s too blunt you see. And we waited as a sudden intense stare ignited between them.
“Don’t activate those pheromones of yours,” Yuri just frowned and shrugged.
“You like her don’t you?”
“No,” Yuri said flatly, her lips still in a frown while nearing the cup’s rim.
“Then why did you kiss her?”
Yuri spit out the coffee and stared at Sooyoung, shocked.
“Damn small-as-ant-Taeyeon,” Yuri gritted her teeth. “I kissed her to shut her up,” Yuri got the towel and wiped her lips before throwing it on the sink. Man, she looked so impatient and I think she should wipe the floor, not her lips. “And just because I kissed her, carried her or changed her clothes doesn’t mean I like her...” She walked out, and all we heard was her footsteps and the sudden clacking of handcuffs on the trash bin before the door was slammed hard, making our eyes shut hard.
“See, she’s still in denial.” Sooyoung broke the silence. “She totally like her from what I can see.”
“So what are we going to do? Sunny and Taeyeon’s plans aren’t working out!”
“Not when you asked us again~” And the two danshins suddenly emerge in front of us like genies, their faces had these stupid fake, black moustaches on. And they were wearing yellow capes that made us scrunched our eyes.
“Hey, how did you two get inside my house...?!” Tiffany stared at them in disbelief.
“We’re small but perfectly...” They turned three hundred sixty degrees to do some stupid dance. “Terrible!” Then, they posed a wink with a peace sign.
We just stared at them, our mouths gaped open in question.
“Since classes are starting in two days, we have more time to match those two up yea!” Taeyeon laughed and it echoed towards the kitchen.
“So what is it?” We all said in unison before we compressed. A paper, pen and the plan laid out on the center of the table.
Before Tiffany’s mother came back, all us were have gone home and of course Tiffany checked up on some spy bugs under the sofas before kissing me goodbye secretly.
*
“Are you feeling all right Yoona?” I asked her while we were walking towards her home. She looked at me and shook her head. “Are you still feeling cold?” I asked again.
“Yea,”
“What? Do you want to—“ I panicked.
“It’s because I’m with an ice.” She laughed.
“Huh, not funny at all!”
“Jessica, help me...” We both stopped walking.
“What is it? Taeyeon and Sunny are also helping...” I sighed.
“I like her... I-I really do...”
“But you should also do you part, if you really like Yuri.”
“But she won’t let me...”
“Yoona, she’s just denying it!”
She sighed.
“You guys really think she does like me?"
“She even changed your clothes...” I pointed out which made her blush in an instant.
“But...” Yoona bit her lip and I could feel she was getting nervous. “You see, when... w-when it’s just the two of us... she really acts caring and when I asked her if she was still feeling mad at me, she would answer ‘not a little bit’ and would smile sweetly.... but when she’s with you guys...” She looked up. “She acts so distant from me.
I just stared blankly at her.
“Why did you just say this now?”
“Huh?”
“If you’ve said this earlier, the plan would really work out well,” I fished my phone out and dialled Taeyeon and Sunny to change our plans. “This time Yoona, it would work.” I smiled at her in triumph.
*
“Sica dear...” Mum folder her hands across the table. Her lips dried out. “I’ve got something to tell you,”
I’ve seen this coming but not this early.
I looked down.
Tiffany...
04 First Day (AGAIN!)
I’M RUNNING LATE!!!!!!!! GAH!!!!!
I ran, jumped and skipped the cars below as I tried my best to reach school on time. I woke up late! I pushed Jessi away last night on the phone telling her I could manage –bragging I could wake up early and even telling her that she’ll owe me a kiss once I arrived at school first—and Taeyeon, yes that small like a virus dude! Well she didn’t tell me she just got first base with Sunny. I mean, she just spazzed around my house for five minutes telling me she got first based although when I asked her if they’re already in a relationship, she shrugged and called they’re relationship as skinship.
I rolled my eyes while I ran as fast as I could. If only I was The Flash or something. Leaping my feet down the school’s dirty soil, I panted like I was a cheetah. Sweat trickling down my face, I got my handkerchief out and wiped it. I glanced at my watch and walked really slow.
No, I’ve got no hope...
When I reached the room, the first class was already starting and I walked like Quasimodo! I opened the door, stealthily and gently. The teacher’s back faced me and I crept and hoped he won’t notice me until a chalk landed on my forehead.
I rubbed it and shut my eyes. Damn, what is this teacher? Some sniper or what?
“You’re Miss Hwang?” He got a paper and glided his finger up and down on it then glanced at me. “Sit there,” He pointed out of boredom while I grinned. I wanted to pull his moustache for a moment.
Lucky me! Huh, sitting with my girlfriend for the whole year again. Proudly, I walked on my seat like it was my throne.
“Miss Hwang?”
I looked at the teacher questioningly.
“You’re late,” He put out a pen and wrote something on a paper where our names were listed. “Minus ten on our first quiz,” The whole class stared at me. NO!
My jaw dropped. Eyes shifting, I asked help from my Jessi who just rolled her eyes.
Too much for a bad first day.
*
When lunch break came, that was the time when we all compressed together and left Yuri inside the bathroom (No, we didn’t lock her in, we just uhh left her there). Then we got some papers and pens and drew our plan again. (Refresh!)
We walked out the gymnasium and I moved my body nearer Jessi. She was quiet, I meant quieter than usual. I always wondered what she was thinking of and it’s hard to come up with my own instinct to match hers.
“Hey, are you okay?” I nudged her.
“Yea, yea...” But she didn’t sound convincing.
“Are you angry with me?”
“No,” She said flatly but not looking at me.
“Erm,” I slowly slid my hand on hers to intertwine. She didn’t reject it but it felt like she’s didn’t like it at all. She felt far away, sour. “Are you angry with me ‘coz I’m late?”
She looked at me and flicked me on the forehead.
“Silly,” She uttered but wasn’t smiling.
“Chalk, now you flicked me.”
“Sorry,”
“You two there, stop the PDA!” Sunny rolled her eyes at us.
“Yoona, go go go!!” Taeyeon forcefully pushed Yoona out in the open while we hide ourselves on the bushes.
“Why are we here?” Sunny was constantly wiping away the falling leaves on her head. “I thought we’d go lock them in the music room? Tae-Tae?”
“Change of plans,” Taeyeon got her binoculars and narrowed her eyes. “Go Yoona!” She cheered.
“What change of plans?” I whispered.
“We should first think how Yuri-the-Densie reacts everytime she’s all alone with Yoona-the-shy-type,” She said in a matter of factly tone.
“Jessi, you really okay?” She just nodded making me frown. Sometimes I think I’m too forceful to know what she’s thinking of.
Taeyeon let us moved more for a closer view but make it to a point that we’re still hidden. Some twigs irking my arms, I yanked them away. What place is this? I hope there are no bugs!!
“Duck!”
We all ducked when suddenly I saw a caterpillar. It walked slowly towards me but I tried to shoo it away as silent as possible. I buried my face closer to Jessi until I felt the caterpillar touch my foot. My eyes and mind had gone into swirling motions.
“Fany-ah? Are you all right?” Jessi asked but I heard her faintly.
I passed out...
*
I’m so nervous, where are they?
I cracked my neck everywhere to find Taeyeon and the gang until I bumped (not intentionally but I knew she would go here) to Yuri.
“Oh...” I uttered weakly while I stuck stray strands of hair on my ears – an indication of my nervousness. “S-Sorry...” I let my eyes land on my feet.
“Have you seen Taeyeon and the others?” She asked worriedly, glancing her eyes in every direction.
I just shook my head. (I don’t really know where they are so I’m not lying!!)
“Hey... about yester—“
“Yul..”
We both said in unison then we both looked down, embarrassed. I somehow saw her scratching her cheek. Maybe she was nervous too?
“You f-first...” Yuri let out a small smile while I still try to compose myself.
“No, you go on...”
“Sorry about yesterday...” She blurted out. “It’s j-just that I-I’m I’m confused...” She stared at me and I need to look away because I felt my cheeks reddening.
“C-Confused about what...” I softly uttered.
“About you,” She walked closer which took me aback.
“M-Me..?”
“Us...” Her eyes bore mine.
“Y-Yul... I...”
“Look Yoong...” She covered her mouth. “Yoona I mean...”
“It’s okay,” I smiled. “If you’re confused... I’m confused too but I’m certain about one thi—“
“AUCKKK!” Taeyeon suddenly made her appearance, falling from a tree. “Ouch! Ack!” The midget (I just call her midget in my mind!) rubbed her knees and stared at us, grinning awkwardly. “Am I interrupting something?” She stood up and suddenly ran. “BYEE!”
Yuri and I looked at each other in much more confusion. Then she chuckled. It’s quite contagious so I also found myself laughing with her.
“That little one is so dorky or something,” She shook her head. “But she’ll have to prepare herself later,” She grinned evilly but I still find it attractive~
Then she looked at me again.
“I’m just not ready,” She said.
“Not ready...?”
“About just shouting...”
“Shouting?” I knitted my eyebrows together. What shouting? Was she in a metal rock band or what?

She scratched her head out of frustration and walked much closer, our shoes aligning. Then slowly, she placed her hand on my arm.
“T-That... I...” She leaned and whispered to me. “I... like you...”
I froze. Her irregular breathing made me all fuzzy inside. I should be the one to confess first! This is out of plan! Until—
I felt her lips on my cheek.
“I-I like you too...” I ended up saying.
She smiled, making me smile back. She ruffled my hair and hugged me.
“C.I.A!” Taeyeon and Sunny flashed a light on us making us narrow our eyes. Yuri rolled her eyes and crossed her arms in a pissed off stance. “BEHOLD! AT LAST!” Taeyeon raised her hands up in the air. “YOU ADMITTED YOUR FEELINGS!” She grinned at Yuri. “I thought we still have to put you in a jakuzi or some sauna to confess your feelings!” Then she laughed her loud, loud, loud laugh.
“Yah! You guys!!” Yuri panicked, pointing fingers at them but failed to spit out her all time incoherent words. I just laughed and patted her on the shoulders.
“Don’t you think it’s time though?” She glanced back at me and sighed.
“Did you plan this with them?” She frowned and I looked down, nodding. Then she hugged me. “Never go this far again, okay?” She rubbed my back. “They’re just annoying me.” She sighed. “Because they’re making my plans screwed.” She admitted. “And they’re making plans so fast that mine gets ruined.” She looked at me and smiled. “I was not really planning to be this.... in denial...” Turning around, she raised her fist towards Sunny and Taeyeon then grinned at them. “You guys shall never ruin anything again. Let me do things!” She yelled, making Sunny and Taeyeon dispersed in a crab walk.”Where’s JeTi?” She suddenly asked me.
“She passed out,” Sica came out from the bushes, carrying Tiffany in bridal style. “Gotta bring her in the clinic.” She walked calmly and left us.
“Sica!” I called out to her. “Did you tell her already?”
“No,” Jessica continued to walked and vanished from our view.
“Tell Tiffany what?” Yuri stared at me.
I weighed my thoughts and sighed. “I don’t even know if I should tell it to you because I just found it out accidentally.” I crossed my fingers together. “But I think they need our help,” I glanced up, feeling her arm on my shoulder she nodded reluctantly. “So?” I glanced at her arm. “D-Does this meant something..?”
“This?” She pulled me closer to her. “You’re my girlfriend.”
She grinned, making me melt.
*
I opened my eyes slowly and what greeted me was the white, lifeless ceiling. I shifted my eyes, Jessi met my view, making me smile a little.
“Glad you’re awake,” She said in a neutral tone. “Still feeling anything?” Her voice didn’t sound concerned or something along those lines. My mood dropped down.
“I’m feeling okay...” I clutched the blanket and looked at her. “Is anything bothering you?”
“No,”
Another flat response from her.
“Why does it felt d-different...?” I asked subconsciously.
“Yuri and Yoona are together now.” She broke my trance and thoughts by changing the topic.
“Oh, I’m happy for them.” I tried to smile but cannot be sincere. Something just doesn’t fit. “Jessi if something—“
“I’m fine.” She cut me off and looked down. “I’m fine. I’m just sleepy...”
I patted the bed for her to lie beside me but all I got from her was a stare. She looked uncertain with her actions. But she moved her body nevertheless and lied beside me.
“I just feel a li’l bit dizzy,” I put a hand on my forehead and stared at the ceiling.
“Ah,” She opened her mouth and closed them again. “I never knew you’re still afraid of bugs and insects like that...”
I just chuckled but still not looking at her.
“Yea...” But I can’t help it, I need to look at her. “You’re not attending the other classes?”
“No,” She looked back at me.
“I love you,” I said out of the blue.
But she just nodded. And I just let it passed, maybe it wasn’t the right time or maybe she’s just so stressed out with something that has been happening.
I just want her to know I’m here.
*
The next day, I walked groggily at the corridor and became hyper when I saw Yuri and Yoona holding hands.
“Wow! You guys are really official huh,” I grinned and nudged the both of them. Yuri smiled and she looked really happy.
“Fany, is Jessica acting different?” Yoona stared at me and I faked a thought.
“No,” I smiled. Thinking that if I tell them about what’s bugging me, it would make the problem much bigger and I don’t think Jessica would like it. She’s a very private person so yea.
I walked inside the room and placed my bag on the chair. Glancing on Jessica’s chair, I’m a bit disappointed that I came earlier than her but it meant a kiss so I shouldn’t really mind right?
I smiled at the thought and chuckled. “I came earlier than her,”
But my disappointment grew when the first subject passed and she was still not around. I kept on checking my phone but not a single message from her.
What happened to her..?
I constantly spaced out and tapped my pen continuously until lunch break came.
And I never thought what would be happening next could change everything.
05 First Tears
Lunch break came and anxiousness washed upon my body as I stared at Jessi’s still empty seat.
Is she sick..?
I should probably visit her later once I get home. Yes, yes, that’s what I should do. I nodded to myself as my lips tried to depict a small smile.
“Fany, let’s go eat?” My thoughts dissipated when I turned my body on my seat, Taeyeon’s voice just sunk inside my head. When I looked around, I wasn’t so surprised to meet Yoona, Yuri, Hyoyeon and Sunny’s concerned gazes.
“Yea, I’m getting hungry.” I tried to be cheerful as I rubbed my stomach but their gazes weren’t helping at all. I smiled again while I lead them out of the room.
When we finally rested ourselves at the cafeteria, I just played my fork around the lasagne. It felt really bad to be worried over things that seemed to be invisibly hit and affect me, like I was in a dark room, trying to find the switch of the lights.
It is uneasy. I am the one who’s feeling sick.
“Have you tried calling her..?” I glanced up and met Yoona’s eyes. Yuri was beside her, hand with a spoonful of rice which was raised in mid air. She’d probably feed Yoona.
“Yes but... she wouldn’t answer,” I answered lifelessly. “Maybe I’m just thinking too much right?” I smiled to get back. “Maybe she’s not feeling well,” I finished with a hopeful smile.
“Something’s not definitely right.” Taeyeon narrowed her eyes on the table. “If Sica is sick or something and she doesn’t want Tiffany to know, she would at least inform someone in the group. Just like the last time when she and Tiffany had a fight.” She looked around with a serious face and at the corner of my eyes I saw Yoona being uneasy on her seat.
“So..?” Taeyeon looked around again. “All of us don’t really know what happened to he—“
“I couldn’t keep this any longer!” Yoona groaned while pulling her hair out, my eyes widened. “I found something accidentally,” Yoona sat upright on her seat, my attention all hers. Yuri patted her on the back and all of us were waiting for her.
“Accidentally..?” Sunny asked with confusion.
“I gave her a surprise visit...” She looked down the ground, carefully breaking a revelation. “Then I found out s-she would be leaving for A-America,” She raised her head up and our eyes met. “This Friday,” Then she covered her mouth with a hand. “I-I asked her if she’ll let you know... a-and she nodded... S-She wouldn’t let me know why s-she’s going...”
I couldn’t react in an instant. So when the hell does she plan to tell me everything? Am I just dreaming? Is she really leaving without saying goodbye to me? Are we finished?
It would just end like... that..? All those times... will just—
“MY SEXY, MARVELOUS AND STUNNING TIFFANY-UNNIE!” Seohyun suddenly emerged and hugged me.
“Yah! Let go of her!!” Hyoyeon stood up pulling Seohyun away. “Do you know something about Sica’s whereabouts?” She interrogated.
“She’s leaving for America today.” She said without a clue until our eyes me, her hand covered her mouth then she ran as fast as she could, breaking tables and plates.
“Seohyun!!” Yoona yelled making Seohyun stop. “Tell us everything!!”
Yuri came forward and got out a baseball bat (I don’t know where she got that though), threatening the poor maknae. Seohyun shivered at the sight and got her mobile phone.
“J-Just t-this c-call,” She gulped. “T-Then you guys would let m-me go...”
Yoona nodded and perched her hands on her waist. Seohyun went back on our table and turned her phone to loudspeaker.
She dialled the number of Jessi’s mother and all of us heard hard the truth.
No, no. This wasn’t true. It couldn’t be.
‘Yes, she’s on the cab right now Seohyunnie. What is it? Hello, hello—‘
She’s going away now.
‘Yes, she’s on the cab right now Seohyunnie. What is it? Hello, hello—‘
All of us stared at each other.
I winced then opened my mouth to speak but closed them again. I never quite know what to say and what to feel. My hands were trembling as I tried to eat again just so everything would go back to normal, or be normal.
“Seohy—“ Yoona turned to face Seohyun back but the maknae was gone.
And I was taken aback when I saw my tears falling down my lasagne. I wiped them forcefully but I felt too weak to comfort myself. I was too—
“Tiffany!” Taeyeon stood up and dropped her hands on the table, startling all of us. “You would just let her go like this?!”
I scowled.
“That Jung will get something from me.” Taeyeon gritted under her teeth. “That liar!!!”
I glanced down and grabbed my fork again.
“Yah! Tiffany!” She yelled, snapping the life out of me.
“What?!” I yelled back, tears treacherously streaming down my cheeks. “What difference it would make if I ask her to say if she didn’t really want to? Tell me!! She wanted it this way! Who am I to—“ Tears blurred my vision when Yoona covered my view and her hand slapped me, her other hand gripping on her mobile phone.
“You’re the one she loves!!” She yelled. “She’s on the cab right now, heading to the airport!” She glared. “Tell me! You still wouldn’t do anything? Tiffany!” Her eyes were like daggers that pierced through mine. “We’ve still got time!!”
How could you do this to me, Jessi?
“Let’s go then!” Hyoyeon intervened. “Let’s go and take your Jessi back!” She instantly grabbed my hand and forced me to stand up. “Let’s go!” But I didn’t move a bit.
“W-Why would she leave m-me..?” I stuttered.
“Tiffany,” Sunny cupped my face. “It’s better to accept everything that’s gonna happen when you’ve done everything you can instead of letting it all go and not doing anything at all.”
I stared at her. Eyebrow furrowing as images of Jessica going away fills my mind.
“We should probably go now...” I mumbled and we all hurriedly skipped classes to proceed to the airport.
I’m mustering every strength and courage I have for what to come. I need to wake up from this nightmare.
I should get Jessi back.
*
I looked around the place with Taeyeon, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Yoona and Yuri beside me. Their necks seemed to be twisted just to have a glimpse and a hint of Jessi.
Had she gone away..?
I felt my mouth being dry as my sight was filled with people walking back and forth in front of me, some sat on the waiting benches, coffee at hand, relaxed. Some hurdling to get to the offices and concierge and I felt my stomach turn when I felt that peculiar ambiance which pertains to departures. That word that could only swam across my mind right now: goodbye.
Where is she..?
I felt my knees growing weaker by the second whenever I tried to take a step, Taeyeon’s grip on my hand was the only thing I could feel, a bit. Everything was turning to numb and tears could never be hidden anymore, as much as I despised them, as much as I lost control.
Won’t you let me see you one last time..?
I wiped them by the back of my hand, my eyes down the ground then I suddenly looked up after I saw their feet halting.
Then I saw her.
It was her.
The small of her back, her nape, her brown, long hair which was tied in a messy, sophisticated bun, I knew. Her thin, fair, silky arms, long, candle-like fingers and that stance only I would know even if you put her in a million, messy crowd or even if I’m in a blindfold with that same scent that could always make me crazy, filling my brain... It was truly her. I knew it was her. My eyes widened slowly until she turned around and our eyes met. If anything was going on at the moment, I cannot hear anything and see anyone other than her. I knew Taeyeon talked but I couldn’t process it anymore, Jessi’s eyes shifted from Taeyeon to mine and it was the only think I could noticed.
“J-Jessi,” I felt Taeyeon’s hand gripping tighter on me, even Hyoyeon, Yoona, Yuri and Sunny looked protective over me. It felt as though I was so fragile and with just a touch or a gaze from Jessi would let me fall of and break. I opened my mouth but closed them again. “Y-You’re..?” Her eyes, I swear I didn’t know them anymore. I couldn’t read anything, they were empty, her eyes.... even my reflection on them that once became seemed too clear had been vague. I looked distorted in her eyes.
Who am I in her eyes?
I couldn’t answer it anymore...
My hand rose in mid air and held an arm of her, gently.
“D-Don’t go...” My voice was trembling. Soft, cowardice, frustration and tension blended in them but all I could see were those same eyes. “Don’t go,” I finally cried out, letting the tears fell down completely. “Jessi, don’t go.” I managed to say through the tears, I saw her features soften a bit.
‘Flight 209, Flight 209 –’
The intercom rang in my ears, the other words were incoherent now and panic shot through my veins as Jessica’s arm was gone in my hand. It slipped like sand. She looked down her watch then wandered her eyes on us then met mine again.
“I thought you’ll tell her about this!!!” Yoona hissed but all I could comprehend was Jessica’s mouth opening and saying something. “This is it Sica?! After you’d waited for her all along, you’ll just leave her like this? Leaving us without even telling the reason why?!”
“I am your best friend!!!” I heard Yoona.
What now..?
“Goodbye,” Was all I heard her say before she turned her back.
“Jung!!! YOU PROMISED ME YOU’LL NEVER LEAVE HER!!!!!” Taeyeon shouted out, ready to kick Jessica when Yuri pulled her back. “I thought you love her?! You’re a coward Jung!!!!!!!!!!”
But Jessica continued to walk.
“FUCK YOU JESSICA JUNG! FUCK YOU AND THAT PROBLEM OF YOURS! YOU THINK YOU COULD SOLVE EVERYTHING BY ESCAPING?! FUCK YOU!!!!”
“Let go of me Yuri!!!” Taeyeon tried to free herself from Yuri’s arms but failed to do so. “Let me go!!!!”
“Taeyeon, there’s nothing else we could do!!” I heard Yuri whispered, her face expressed worry and disappointment –even disgust. “Stop, stop!”
Yoona was being held both by Hyoyeon, she was crying too. And Sunny was there, beside me, comforting me.
She was walking away. The distance was getting farther by the second. Everything was losing their place in my hands. My Jessi was walking away. Her feet, they’re dragging her away from me, they are—
I started to run but Taeyeon held me into place.
“You deserve better than that fucking liar!” Her eyes were like slits while she gritted her teeth. I shook my head and looked at her so she could understand. But her expression never faltered. She doesn’t understand anything, does she?
“TaeTae,” I slapped her hand away and ran forward, my feet felt a little bit stronger. Then Jessi was closer again. The distance she tried to make, I tried to vanish. I grabbed her in the arm and tried to make her turn around. Face me, face us and face our problem.
“DON’T GO!!” I was crying, hard. “JESSICA!!” But her back was still facing me. “Jessi!!” I shook her arm, feeling useless. “Don’t g-go... D-Don’t leave m-me...” I was begging. “Don’t go away...” I leaned in and back-hugged her, my tears staining her pink cardigan. “Y-You promised... Why would you leave me? You said I’m important to you! YOU SAID WE COULD MAKE IT THROUGH AS LONG AS WE HAVE EACH OTHER!! I thought— I thought you’ll never—“ Then her hands were slowly removing mine on her waist. “Jessi, I-I love you...” I softly finished.
“Promises are meant to be broken,” She looked back then looked down, my tears dampening my cheeks. It was painful, I felt my heart being broken down into pieces. I’ve never felt it before but... but it really, really hurt. It really do...
“I-I thought y-you mean w-what you said...” My eyes weren’t blinking anymore and just staring at hers.
“I didn’t,” She glanced up and pressed her lips together. Her eyes— a hint of sadness and regret was there.
Why do you have to lie to let me go..?
“W-Why..?” I asked one last time but her back answered me, the sound of the wheels of her luggage echoed across my ears.
Why are you leaving? Why won’t you let me know..?
Why can’t I do anything other than this...? Why—
Then she was gone, only the white walls and the beeping of the machines around and digital clock greeted my blurry vision once again.
So I broke down and cry, letting my knees fell off the ground, my hand palming my face. My friends sat beside me and comfort me, their embrace and warmth filled me but it was hers that I really need. It was her who could only fill this space that you left.
The glances of the people passing by me pierced like daggers. Jessi, how could you leave me like this? How could you let me breakdown in front of everyone? How could you make me this vulnerable..?
It was over.
We were over.
*
“Fany dear? Are you there?” Mother knocked on the door for the nth time that night. “You don’t really like to eat dinner..?”
I didn’t answer. I just stared up the ceiling, blankly. My mind seemed to float on a bottle of rusty memories, like they were meant to be like that, to be just memories and me, the only one who held onto them. But when I tried to reach them by my fingertips, they were like dreams that never existed at all. They felt like dust.
She knocked some more until I heard the keys jingling then my door opened. I shifted my eyes lifelessly towards my mother, not even caring in the world how I look like.
“Fany dear...” She hurriedly came towards me and caressed my face.
“I-It’s so painful,” I tugged my chest and cried again – the only thing that I could do that day.
“I know...” She smiled gently and I tried to do a small smile. She caressed my face and kissed me on the forehead. “And it’s inevitable. You can never love when you can’t feel pain.” She smiled back, understanding.
“Mum, w-what should I do..?”
“Time heals...”
I looked away. But she was different, I don’t even know if I could love again if it wasn’t her... I don’t even know if—
“Jessica loved you, I’m sure of that...” She started, capturing my attention once again. “But, it’s just not meant to last forever...” She finished before standing up and leaving me there on the bed until it hit me. “Or maybe it was the right love but... at the wrong time...”
Mother knew about us.
I sat upright the bed and stared at the closed door. I looked down.
“It was too late though,” I smiled regretfully and shed tears some more, hugging Totoro tighter in my arms.
Have I really done everything I can?
06 First Distance
I slowly opened my eyes as I heard the chirping birds through the window. Although who I saw was somewhat blurry, I knew it was mum there, staring at my waking-up face.
“Fany dear,” She uttered while I still stirred.
“Hmm,” I weakly replied then I heard her sigh.
“Do you need anything? It’s because I’m going on a business trip with the company. Y’know, talk stuff about new formulas for our products. And I’ll be gone for three days...” She said faster than I could ever hear. “But,” Mum paused. “If you want me to stay bec—“
“I would be fine mum,” I jolted up the bed then rubbed my eyes. She stood up then stared at me more.
“Are you sure..?”
“I’m gonna be fine...” I stared down the wooden floor of my room. So Jessica is really gone..? It was so hard to believe. So she really left? So that’s it, we’re over?
“Darling,”
“I’m gonna be okay,” I glanced at mum with my trying-to-be-tough-self.
“O-Okay then. I’ll just leave the keys and the money,” She kissed my forehead and went outside the door uncertain of what to say next.
“Take care mum,” I tried to smile.
“You too, dear,” She gently closed the door and I let myself collapsed on the bed, suddenly the tears freely falling again.
What just happened to me? I tried to control my sobs while staring at the ceiling, wiping my eyes and feeling the roughness I did just so I could control my tears. Maybe I was just dreaming?
I closed my eyes then opened them again only to be faced by everything, still the same.
Maybe though—
I heaved.
I just don’t want to go to school. I heard my mother say something unsurely like a second good bye and tell me to take care of everything while she’s gone. After a while, I heard her luggage being placed inside the cab, mother talking about something about the airport then the cab’s engine vanishing through my eyes.
I shifted my body on the other side of the bed and saw Totoro in front of me.
“Jessica left me,” I frowned and embraced Totoro, seeking that warmth Jessica would give me everytime we would embrace. But she was different.
How could she just—
Plok!
I looked at my window, my heart suddenly beating so fast as I hear stones being thrown at it. Only Jessica throws stones at my window! I hurriedly ran towards the curtain and opened it only to be greeted by Taeng and the gang. I shut the curtain close.
I dragged my feet as I passed by the mosaic Jessica gave me.
“I-I’m... what should I d-do?” I talked at my mosaic self. “Y-You promised to never leave me,” I cried again and broke down, my knees falling down the ground.
“How could I e-ever...”
“TIFFANY!!!” Taeyeon gasped as I met her eyes. “C’mon stand up!!!” She grabbed my hand and forcefully brought me up.
“Let me go,” I looked down.
“You should go to school!” Taeyeon insisted. I stared at her. Her hand cupping face then wiping the tears, she pulled me into a hug.
“There’s no more reason for me to go to school,” I softly replied.
“HOW COULD YOU LET JESSICA AFFECT YOU LIKE THIS WHILE SHE’S SOMEWHERE ELSE?! NOT EVEN CARING A SHIT ABOUT YOU!!!” Taeyeon madly said as she continued to drag me through the door after we pulled away.
“Tae, let go.” I tried to remove my hand from her grip but it wasn’t successful.
“You should go to school!” She said again. “If you’ll stay here, you’ll only think of her more!” She let me go and perched her hands on her waist. “Tiffany,” She sighed.
“Tiffany,” Sunny looked at me, her lips pouting. Yoona and Yuri suddenly peeking at the door then nodded at me as if to ease all the shit I am feeling.
I thought for a while and agreed to go to school even with my broken state.
“I’m not going,” I uttered at Taeyeon as she stared at me, wearing already my uniform. “I’m not in the mood to go to school...” I looked up and met Yoona, Yuri and Sunny’s worried eyes.
“You’ll go,” She insisted. “Let’s go Fany,” Taeyeon forcefully grabbed my hand again and I just surrendered.
I felt like just doing things without thinking at all.
I’m so sick.
*
I walked at the corridor, never really minding where Taeyeon’s taking me. Well, maybe she’s taking me in class, yes? I smiled sheepishly as we went by the door frame, Yoona and Yuri talking something at my back that I don’t quite understand while Taeyeon’s other hand was held by Sunny.
Ah.
Maybe I’m still dreaming ain’t I?
But my eyes suddenly widened as I reached my seat closer, Jessica... I gasped... Jessica’s there, sitting at her same seat...
Ah, you’re dreaming Tiffany.
I looked down and continued to walk until I sat on my seat and glanced beside me. Jessica, Jessica...
I held her gaze, she stared back at me.
I rubbed my eyes, she’s still there. My mouth gaped but I faced the blackboard again.
Until—
Taeyeon walked and glanced over and saw her there too. It looked like anger rose inside of her as her steps grew hurriedly then she grabbed her on the collar.
“What the fuck are you still doing here, Jung?!” Taeyeon narrowed her eyes on Jessica, Sunny’s arm telling her to stop it. “Remove your hand on me Sunny bunny,” She glanced at Sunny then back at Jessica, her face was blank. “What are you still doing here?!” She gripped tighter on her collar, her hand trying to be calmly remove by Jessica.
I looked down. Is this real?
“I can explain,” Jessica firmly answered.
“Explain?! Explain what?” Taeyeon lower down her voice. “What do you still need to explain?!” My best friend gritted her teeth.
“I...”
“What else?!” Taeyeon shook her, as she could see me acting as if I was not seeing them or maybe I can’t still believe I’m seeing Jessi again. But really, at the corner of my eye, I tried to shun everything. I tried to pretend this was not really happening.
“I love her,” Jessica stared at Taeyeon. “I’m sorry...” She looked down and Taeyeon gently removed her hand on her collar.
I hurriedly stared at Jessica and our eyes met for the second time. I shook my head and buried my face on my arms.
How could she think all could be well again by saying an apology? The point is she tried to leave me! And she could try again!
“Fuck you,” I heard Taeyeon slowly uttered.
“I know,” She looked back, and I could feel her eyes on me. “And I’m fucking serious, I’m gonna get Tiffany back. I know I’m the one to blame...”
“Do you know what you’re talking about?” Taeyeon could suddenly sense Yoona and Yuri’s presence behind me. “I didn’t even know why I trust her to you!! I thought you’re the one for her!”
“Sica,” I heard Yoona’s voice.
Slap
“You disappointed me,” Yoona’s voice echoed through my ears. Even though I wanted to cry and blame Jessica with everything that she tried to do, I can’t move to my seat. It seemed like everything hasn’t sunk in yet. But my thoughts were all making my head spin.
I looked at Jessica as she held her cheek—tinged with pink. My eyes widened again then I look away.
“I never knew you were like that.”
“I have my reasons Yoong,” Jessica retorted.
“Reasons..?” Yoona raised a brow sarcastically. “Then what do you want us to do now? Tell you it’s gonna be okay? Look at her!” Yoona pointed at me who was currently spacing out, my eyes not even blinking. “You only think of yourself Sica!”
I didn’t know what to do.
“Tiffa—“
“Don’t call her!” Taeyeon said pissed off.
I can’t believe I was still aware of what was happening though.
“Taeyeon,” Jessica breathed out. “Last chance...”
“That’s up to her,” She frowned and glanced at me.
Jessica nodded and looked down. “I’m going to explain everything...”
“You’ll gonna start from scratch.” Taeyeon frowned further and they left Jessica to come back to their respective seats. The teacher came into view, suddenly babbling of nonsense. “But if I were her, I’ll make you suffer.” Taeyeon whispered.
Everything reminds me of her. Even the cucumbers the teacher’s been drawing on the board. Oh right, that’s the Plum Pudding Model. Ah.
Second subject passed.
Third subject passed was a mess, all I did was to stare blankly as my mind drifted away.
We had lunch but I just ate my thoughts away. Trying to act okay when I know Jessica’s there at the rooftop, maybe waiting for me.
Then after lunch, I ignored her and sat on my chair. Our teacher in Health talking about STDs. The hell should I do with that!
“Tiffany,” I glanced at the voice who’s calling me, only to meet her eyes. “Let’s talk later...”
I suddenly felt the tears from my eyes. They were hot, pricking, hurting.
“There’s nothing to talk about,” I shook my head while trying to stare at the board. “You already left. Why are you still here?” I muttered.
“Look at me Tiffa—“
“Stop it,” I covered my ears. “Leave me alone,” I suddenly stood up without saying anything, bag on my back as I exited the classroom. The teacher yelling ‘skip classes and you’ll get herpes!’ then I broke into a run. I don’t care.
Jessica returned but it was more painful.
Was she only toying with me?
What happened yesterday? Just some prank she did for me to be like this?!
What does she really want? What are her schemes?
Why did she do that?
*
I let my body collapsed on the bed as soon as I clumsily opened the door of my room, my face buried down the pillows as I sobbed.
I thought she loves me, she promised me and I believed them. I’m so gullible right? So from the start she was just—
The door suddenly opened and I saw Jessica at the door frame, panting.
“What are you doing here?!” I said through the tears and hit her with all the pillows that I could ever find.
“Listen to me,” She managed to say after I threw Totoro at her.
“What?! That you’re just toying around? That what? What you did yesterday was to make me like this?!”
“Look,” She stared at me and carefully approached me.
“Don’t go nearer!” I cried out.
“I-I would r-really go,” She looked down.
“Then just go away and leave!!!”
“F-Fany..”
“Without even caring to say goodbye?” I cried some more. “What do you think of yourself?! That you could handle everything?! And that if you’ll go without saying goodbye, I’d be okay?! That I could just forget everything?!”
“Look, my parents divorced...” She said gently. “Years ago... and... and my f-father wanted to fly to America to continue my studies there... because mother became financially unstable this past mont—“
“Why are you even telling me all of this?!”
“Because I would go to America to talk to him personally that I never really wanted to go there! He wouldn’t listen through the phone!! He wouldn’t listen even if I beg...”
“All by yourself?!” I stared at her, my lips falling down. “Then why are you back so suddenly? To tell me ‘oh he finally agreed!’? Did you even think of my feelings? Did you even think what you’d make of me?”
She winced and I suddenly saw tears on her eyes. Flowing gradually, her body trembled.
“Sooyoung drew a moustache on my passport ID and they let me out the plane, telling me it was not valid...” She glanced at me. “And he finally agreed that—”
“And if Sooyoung never did that?!” My voice was a tone higher. “You wouldn’t go back right? That if your father wouldn’t agree over this, you would stay there and never go back?!”
“No, no...” She shook her head. “I would do everything just so—“
“Stop it Jessica, give me space and time. I don’t think I could be—“
“I’m sorry,” She suddenly kneeled down and sobbed. “I’m really, really sorry... I never wanted to say goodbye to you because I thought it would be better... I think if I do this all by myself, it would be us in the end. I didn’t think—“
“You’re selfish,” I said, hard and straightforwardly.
“F-Forgive m-me...” She put her hand on my hand but I shook it away.
“Don’t touch me!”
I turned around, my back facing her. My features softened a bit as I still hear her cry.
“Tiffany, I-I’m really sorry...” She croaked, her voice trembling. “I... I...”
“I’ll be out for a while,” I stood up, walked passed her and went out of the house. The door slammed in front of her.
*
I went at the playground when we first met when we’re just kids. I remember the way she used to help me up the slide, my cheeks heating up even though she looked so cold and because I’m chubby, she always give her hundred percent strength to lift me.
I sat on one of the swings and stared at the sky. I remembered the way she used to hold my hand while she helped me up the monkey bars too. And that was the very first time I saw her smile.
But when we reached middle school she went inside her shell again. Even talking to us was impossible, and even though I never did remember everything, I let her be. Let her be cold again until I thought she didn’t even exist. The friendship that was blooming dried out all of a sudden.
But, we’ve been always classmates since the very beginning.
I kicked the stone on my feet.
Then I realized as time passed by that I like her, especially when we became seatmates. Taeyeon made me remember everything when we were young—Jessica and me. The pen, the letters, the memos... the way she would always protect me secretly...
I knocked on my head, thinking I’m so dense and smiled softly.
“Tiffany?” I glanced up and saw Sooyoung, a gallon of ice cream and spoon at hand.
“Hi,” I shyly greeted then she sat beside me.
“How’s Jessica?” She grinned. I sighed and felt like she was mocking me or something.
“I hate her,” I kicked another stone and let it hit a metal.
Sooyoung sighed too.
“Where’s Hyoyeon?”
“Still in classes,” She frowned a bit. “You skipped classes?!” She asked, puzzled.
“I needed some time alone...”
“Ah, just finished basketball practice,” She paused and talked again. “Did Jessica like the moustache I drew?” She beamed, ugh those pheromones.
“I don’t know...” I rubbed my face so that her pheromones would go away. Pheromones, go away, never come another day~ I sung inside my head.
“Will you forgive her..?”
“If you didn’t do that Sooyoung, I didn’t think she would go back to me...”
“Jessica really likes to do things all by herself,” Sooyoung said matter-of-factly as she put a spoonful of ice cream on her mouth. “Like when she worked to pay for your tuition fee last time,” She sighed and I stared at her, my eyes widened.
“What?”
“Nothing! Nothing!” She waved her hand, realizing what she just said. “You didn’t hear anything!!” She slapped her forehead and heard her mutter, ‘Oh god, Jessica will kill me!’.
“Sooyoung what is it!!” I furrowed my eyebrows together and shook the uniform of her sleeve.
“YOU MUST NOT KNOW THAT!” She gently removed my hand.
“I SHOULD KNOW IT!” I cried out. “WHAT IS THIS TUITION FEE THING SHE PAYED AND WORKED FOR?!”
“Ah! No Tiffany!! You must not know that she’s still working at the construction site until now just so she could pay her uncle for lending her money for your tuition fee whe—“ She covered her mouth, her spoon dropping the ground
“Jessi...” I softly uttered and cried. “Why are you like this? You make me hate you so much then you make me want to make some sense out of y—“
“MY SPOON!!” Sooyoung cried out like a kid.
I flicked Sooyoung on her nose and she came to her senses. So Jessica was the one who sent the money.
“Don’t tell her I told you!! Please? Or it would be friendship over with us!!” She pouted and pleaded me.
“I won’t...” I sighed. “Don’t worry,”
Silence engulfed us as the sun set above.
“Jessica really loves you...” Sooyoung got back to her senses for the second time and sat again. “It’s just that she wants all things over her shoulders as long as she could.” She pressed her lips together. “I sometimes envy her for loving you like this.” She scratched her head and look at me. “I mean, she’s so ready to do everything for you without second thoughts,”
I looked at her and smiled softly to myself.
“I hope you understand her.” Sooyoung talked again and patted me on the shoulder.
“How did you know all of this..?” I asked Sooyoung but she never paid attention to me.
Seconds later, Taeyeon, Sunny, Yuri and Yoona emerged from view. Sooyoung standing up and waving her hands on her ex-fans. (lol)
“I knew you’d be here...” Taeyeon smiled at me. “Where’s Jung?” She scowled.
“She’s at my house...” I gave her a smile.
“Your house?!” She shook my shoulders. Ugh, microscopic being, I’m being dizzy. Ah~ “Don’t tell me you two are okay again?!” Taeyeon panicked.
Then I told her about what Jessica did for me, Sooyoung begged everyone to shut up their mouths and pretended I never told them anything or Jessica would kill her. Or that Jessica will bury her alive and she would die because there’s no food there—but Taeyeon insisted, worms are delicious underneath the ground and Sooyoung’s eyes glimmered.
“You should still make it hard on her, you know,” Yoona grinned at me. Yuri tailed her and held onto Yoona’s sleeve.
“Are you two really together or she’s just a pet?” Sooyoung said innocently, earning a slap with Yoona. Yuri suddenly barked.
“She’s my girlfriend okay? You crazy ex of mine!” Yoona glared, Sooyoung suddenly shrinking. The word ‘ex’ making her feet bury down the soft soil.
“Hey I’m jealous,” Yuri whined and snuggled to Yuri’s shoulder.
“You’re my present!” Yoona snuggled too and I saw Sunny vomiting at a distance.
“I didn’t know Jessica could...” Taeyeon shook her head. “So she really loves you. She just screwed up,” She smiled at me and patted me on the head. “Make it hard on her,” She smiled evilly. “Payback,”
I scratched my head then Hyoyeon came running.
“Sooyoung!!” She yelled then Sooyoung stood up, time slowing down as they reached each other’s arms. Sooyoung’s tears overflowing with happiness. “I miss you my honey~”
“I miss you too my player~” They danced giddily on the playground until Hyoyeon’s head hit a pole.
“AUCK!!!”
I rolled my eyes. “I guess I have to go then. It’s getting all horror here,” I joked, earning glares from the couples.
“Taeyeon are you two official?” Yuri blurted out then pointed at Sunny and Taeyeon.
“Us..?” Taeyeon and Sunny looked at each other.
“W-Well...” Taeyeon thought. “I already kissed Sunny bunny but...”
“We’re best friends!!” Sunny grinned, Taeyeon’s face crunched and looked disappointed.
“Yea...” Taeyeon said softly.
My best friend’s also having her own love life problems~ lalala~
*
When I went home, the lights were all on already inside. Proceeding to the kitchen, I smiled when I saw the food Jessica cooked for me. I ate it whole heartedly but suddenly stopped.
Oh, I forgot. I’d rather make it hard on her. Forgetful Fany!
I left the kitchen and went up my room to see Jessica. And there she was, sleeping silently on the floor beside my bed. I sighed.
“You’re so stubborn. You shouldn’t always do things by yourself, I’m your other half you know.” I stared at her sleeping face and saw her eyes were really puffy. “Silly. What if mother’s at home.” I gently arranged her fringe and went to the bathroom to change my clothes.
“Good night,” I whispered to her as I put a blanket over her. I smiled, resisting my self to kiss her because I should make it hard on her!! HAHAHAHA.
I shut my eyes closed and pulled the blanket over my body.
This better be not a dream.
Or else I better not wake up at all.
Tomorrow is a Saturday.
07 First Night
I sat up on the bed and stretched my arms and found myself smiling after a while. The morning felt fresh and rejuvenating. It greeted ‘perfect’.
I gasped then looked down the floor only to find no one’s there. “No,” I panicked as I hurriedly put the slippers on my feet. I went down, feeling sad. Don’t tell me she’s gone and last night was just a dream. Oh, please. Not again, no, no, no. No.
I panted when I reached the end of the stairs and saw her whistling on the kitchen. She was wearing that ‘best cook’ apron again and I smiled in relief.
“Good morning,” She greeted and smiled at me.
No, I must make it hard on her. I thought and concentrated on what I should be doing.
I stiffened and walked towards the table without saying a word.
“Pancakes,” She sung while she placed the plate of pancakes in front of me. Then she sighed when she didn’t receive anything from me—not even a look.
“I’m sorry, Tiffany.” I could hear the regret and guilt on her voice. “I shouldn’t have kept things for myse—“
“Ah Jessi!” I shouted in an instant, frustrated and baffled. “Why can’t you make me angry at you longer than I have to?” I glared at her then bit my lip. She helped me secretly with my tuition fee and I still can’t believe it. She’s still working hard for it too. I felt like crying for a moment and I felt beads of tears forming at the corners of my eyes.
She smiled softly. “I’m really sorry,”
I stood up while pouting then hugged her. I smiled through my tears.
She hugged me back and her warmth made my body sagged.
“Thank you...” I uttered.
“For what..?” She asked, I felt her voice vibrated as I held her back.
“For everything...” Then I felt her smile.
“I miss you...” She whispered.
“Me too, silly.” I slapped her on the forehead and she rubbed it. “Don’t leave me again...” I softly asked.
“I won’t and... I won’t be keeping things...” She thumbed my cheek. “I’m sorry...” She said another apology.
“You’re forgiven,” Then I pecked her on the lips. “Even before you asked,”
Oh I missed that smile. I felt drunk—even if I don’t know what’s the feeling of being one—by just staring at her angelic smile.
“Let’s eat?” She glanced at the pancake. “And where’s your mother..?” She glanced around.
“She went to a business trip,”
“Ah, I see,” She grinned and I faintly heard it. But I could see her grin. That different grin, that one grin that meant something else that I couldn’t comprehend, no matter how I try to, that, that, that grin!
“What?” I asked her.
“Nothing! I said we should eat.” She smiled then I nodded, as we proceeded to eat.
“You’re lying!” I pouted.
“Look, the pancake will turn cold,” She pointed and I gave up.
*
“This, this or this?” I pointed to every pink, feminine napkins I could ever see, different names though but the same colour. “Hmm,” All pink. Mine.
“Hey Tiffany, I already got all that’s in the list,” Jessica put the basket of groceries in front of me. “You’re still here? When we arrived, you went here first and then you’re still here? I finished buying everything you need.”
“I can’t decide!!” I panicked then rolled my eyes.
“Decide? What’s there to decide?”
“I don’t know what to buy!!” I pointed at the products.
“They’re all the same,” She said like I should have realized that ages ago.
“No! They’re not.”
“Look, they’re all feminine napkins and used when you have menstruation! What’s the problem,” She frowned then looked at me.
“Hmm,” I thought again, considering what she said. “But...”
Jessica suddenly got the ones in front of me then put it on the basket.
“No! Not that!!” I cried out and then she sighed. I got the napkin and returned it on its place.
“Tiffany,” Jessica whined.
I looked closely and scrutinized each product. “This shade’s pinker but I like the flower design of this one but then this one’s strawberry scented but the pink colour of the packaging—“
“All right, stop it.” Jessica broke my thoughts of decision making. “This, you would use this,” She got the strawberry scented napkin (a/n; is there even a strawberry scented napkin?!) then put it on the basket, lifting it up then grabbing my hand before I could protest.
“But Jessi!!”
“What?” She looked back as we walked, falling in line to pay.
“But!!” I groaned. “I don’t like that!”
“Tiffany,” She rolled her eyes at me. “Everything’s the same!”
“But—“
She suddenly whispered something to me then I bit my lip. I stopped then blushed after my eyes widened.
It should smell like strawberries..? (a/n; hide your perverted thoughts! NOW!)
“Are you on your period today?” She suddenly asked while we placed the products on the cashier. The girl on the cashier yawned while she put each product on a plastic bag, her mouth chewed on a gum like a goat.
“No, I’m just buying it for next month,” I answered absentmindedly.
“Okay,” She nodded. Her fingers, I noticed, were fidgeting.
WHAT?!
I scratched my head but just let the lingering confusion drift away.
Maybe she’ll borrow some because she’s on a period today..?!
*
Jessica put the grocery bags on the kitchen counter. Coolly, she put the beverages inside the fridge then the canned goods up the cabinet. She knew every corner of my house to start with.
“Did you tell your mum that you’ll be sleeping here today?” I asked her as I heat the food she cooked yesterday. “Again?” I finished.
“Yea,” She said. “And would it be all right if I borrowed your clothes first..?” She asked, uncertain.
“Of course,” I looked at her. “You’re wearing mine now.” I chuckled.
“Indeed,” She nodded then grinned. “Your mum will return tomorrow?”
I nodded.
“And you said she already know about us?”
I nodded again.
She put plates on the table and stared at me, hands on her waist.
“How come..?”
“I don’t know,” I shrugged. “I’m surprised but it felt like she knew it from the start.” I stared at her. “Are we that obvious?”
“I don’t know, maybe” She shrugged back. “I’m feeling nervous just thinking about meeting your mum again,” She sighed. “We should make it official, don’t you think?”
My cheeks suddenly heat up, making me smile widely.
“Yes,”
“I’ll let mother know about us then,” She assured me. “But we should worry about your mother first,”
“Just act yourself,” I winked at her. “I know she likes you,”
“But—“
“Just not your blond hair,” I smiled. “Previously,”
We both chuckled then ate lunch together after we arranged all the groceries. After a while we just let the afternoon passed by watching movies, we were arguing to watch Harry Potter but I told her we wouldn’t finish until the last one. I yawned after I cried because of A Walk to Remember and Dear John—I think I already watched these movies hundreds of times but they still make me cry like a baby. Jessica kissed me lovingly on the forehead as I tried to fight the sleepiness I’m feeling.
I glanced at the clock and it’s already 7:15.
“You’re sleepy,”
“Yea,” I stretched and we both stood up from the couch. Our hands intertwined as we went up my room.
“I’ll go in the bathroom first,”
“I’ll just use the bathroom down then,” Our eyes locked for a moment before I let it go. I suddenly felt uneasy by the way Jessica’s looking at me. A vein on my neck beating out of habit, making me shook my head.
“Arghh!” I roared in frustration as the bubbles of the toothpaste reached my nose. “Ahh,” I panicked and rinsed my nose. “Prfsff,” I gurgled and sighed while staring at my reflection on the mirror. “Arghh!” I ruffled my hair and shook my head. I feel nervous all of a sudden too. “What’s happening to me,” I slapped my cheek before I went out of the bathroom and saw Jessica already sitting on the bed, she was skimming through a magazine and she smiled as she glanced up at me.
My pyjamas just looked nice on her.
“Do all of your pyjamas have to be pink?” She grinned at me.
“Why you don’t like it?” I raised a brow. “If you don’t like it, then sleep naked,” Disappointment on my tone.
Though seeing Jessica naked—
OH NO, WHAT AM I THINKING!!!! I punched my head in my mind.
“Kidding,” She put the magazine down the bedside table and beamed at me.
I scratched my head as I sat on the bed too but was quite conscious with the space I preserved between us. It hit me then that we just made up and it’s the only two of us inside the house. Damn, she’d probably hear the banging of my heart.
“Erm, good night...” I slowly uttered while I pretend to arrange the creases of the sheet. Ugh, why am I suddenly blushing without Jessica doing anything to me?
“Good night,” I heard her say which made me looked up to her. Then ever so slowly, she leaned closer. “Tiffany,” She whispered and I complied.
And like I always do in instinct, I closed my eyes. Our lips captured each other and I felt something lurched in my stomach when I felt her hand on my arm. I smiled between our kiss when her hand caressed my hair, claiming me as hers. Our head tilting after I felt her tongue on my bottom lip. It was haywire. It was making me crazier than I’ve already been over her.
Ah. It was indescribable.
My cheeks burned.
Gently, she laid me on my bed and I blushed even more. She stared at me lovingly and I have to look away because I felt shy.
She chuckled.
My heart—I think I would have a heart attack any time soon.
She then kissed me on the forehead then let our noses touch. She shut her eyes close.
“I don’t know how to start after a kiss,” She admitted and I have to laugh because it’s both our first time.
I slapped her lightly on the arm and I noticed her weight on mine.
“Erm, neither do I know...” I sighed then chuckled. How should we do this..? “Just do things on instinct..?” I suggested shyly.
“Ah wait,” She got off me and stood, her back facing me. I focused my eyes on her and I have to blink multiple times because I realized she was taking her clothes off. I looked away and covered my eyes.
“This is quite embarrassing,” I whispered to my blushing self. After some time, I could feel her weight on me again.
She was smirking already by the time my eyes fell upon her lips. But she’s still wearing something, of course. Oh that lopsided smirk Jessi, you just want me to want you more right now...
“I’ll take care of you,” She whispered and I think the blood was running through my ears up my head then down my toes like how roller coasters do. It’s so hot all of a sudden as I nodded. I never felt so much like this before—I felt secured, protected.
We kissed yet again then after a while, she proceeded to unbutton my shirt.
“Should I p-proceed?” She asked me and smiled shyly. A tinge of pink ran across her cheeks.
I just pulled her collar closer to answer her question while I whispered a faint, ‘doitdoitdoit’. Shyness suddenly made my skin glow when I was just on my bra and saw her staring at them which made me pushed the pillow on her face.
“Don’t stare!!” I cried out and I heard her laughing.
What’s so funny!! I thought and pouted.
“I can’t breathe,” I heard her say then I removed the pillow and let if fall on the floor. She smiled at me then her face turned serious.
“Fany-ah,” She breathed to me which made me so dizzy.
She gently caressed my cheek and kissed me from my jaw line down my neck. I swore I could feel the muscles on my stomach tighten as I put my arms around her nape. I tilted my head up so that I could feel her kisses more, more access. Her tongue, kisses and fingers travelled on my ears down my collar bones.
After a while I felt her hand tug on the waist band of my pyjamas. I blushed harder if there could be an instance for me to blush more at this moment, than I could ever imagine.
I felt something building inside of me down between my thighs when she placed her hand there.
She kissed me on the lips again as my fingers slide down her slender arms, guiding her down.
“It would hurt, okay?” She kissed me on the eyes to assure me for the second time and I nodded, readying myself.
I trust her. I really do.
“I trust you,” I whispered and I saw her smiling at me after she caressed my hair again. I just want to give her more.
She slowly went inside of me and it hurt. I buried my face on her shoulder blades then she went on again. Again and again until what I already feel was euphoria. Until I called out her name for needing more, our sweats getting mixed as I could feel her kisses, mouth and hands all over my body.
“Jessi...” I moaned, my eyes fluttered with every pleasure and love she was giving me. In secret places, she lied, in every corner she stayed.
I lost my control as I gripped tighter on the bed sheet. She was taking my breath away with every penetration and I wrapped my thighs around her waist. My body was contained in her arms as time ticked by. And I, I never felt so alive.
The way we made love was so out of love that I have to smile when we both collapsed on the bed. Her face looked so fierce while her attractiveness was overflowing. I caressed her cheek and pecked her on the lips as my breaths were ragged. She opened her eyes and panted so all I have to do was to run my fingers through her dishevelled hair. I could hear our uneven breaths through the night and when our eyes met, I snuggled closer to her body—timidly yet gleeful. The heat her skin was radiating made me feel so loved, so complete—A welcome touch. The way she treated me was sweet, fragile and caring. Our bodies connected with clarity—each impulse in each movement.
Every whisper and prayer of sweet nothings for each other—my soul never felt much more contented than today.
“Hey,” I breathed out weakly through her shoulder then I felt her arms pulling me closer. One of her legs intertwined with my body as I felt her chest contracting and expanding together with mine. “I love you...”
“I love you too,”
“Good night Jessi,” I willing myself to blush for the last time.
“Good night love,” She kissed me gently on the forehead one last time before we fell asleep in that position.
To stay like this is everything I’ll ever need.
08 First and Official
I could feel her evened breathing on my neck as I sniffed through her gorgeous jet black hair.
“Good morning gorgeous...” I said when I saw her opened her eyes slowly. She flipped and pulled me closer, her breathing sending shivers on my neck.
Oh my god, she’s naked... I MEAN WE’RE BOTH NAKED and her warmth was making me crazy so early in the morning!!!!
“Hmm, hmm. One... more... round... please...” She mumbled then my eyes widened.
“EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?” I wandered my eyes around but when I looked at Tiffany again, she was sleeping already. “Phew!” I uttered, I felt so tired without even knowing why.
“I’ll just cook us breakfast okay?” I pulled the blanket over us and slowly removed Tiffany’s arms on my waist. I kissed her on the forehead before I lazily went out of bed, grabbed an oversized shirt and my underwear then decided to cook breakfast for us.
I ruffled my head as I yawned out the door to go downstairs only to let my mouth opened for a good ten seconds as Tiffany’s mother faced me now.
Tiffany’s m-mother—
I stiffened and winced.
“G-Good morning ma’am...” I softly uttered.
What messed had I put myself on? What’s worse I’m only wearing undies underneath! This is so embarrassing then what would happen now if she went inside Tiffany’s room. I shouldn’t have been lazy with putting my shorts on!!
Oh no, this is one hell of a mistake. I shifted my eyes around because of discomfort but faced Tiffany’s mother again. She’s just looking at me like she saw a ghost or something.
“G-Good morning Mrs. H-Hwang,” avoiding to call her ‘auntie’ or I would be slapped. Whose mother would be happy after seeing her daughter sleeping with her still unofficial girlfriend?
“Jessica?” Her mother blinked multiple of times and I was so aware that I looked so haggard and smelled sex.
“Y-Y—“ Then she squeezed my body then embraced me.
“Oh god, are you real?” She said as we parted then stared at me, then she shook my shoulders. “Are you real?!”
“Y-Yes Mrs. Hwang,” I said dizzily. “W-Welcome home Mrs. Hwang,” I smiled, faintly—terrified!
“You returned?!” She said, kind of excited and that took me aback.
“Yes...”
She then shook her head. “I should be angry at you right?”
“I-I think so,” I said unsurely.
“Go cook breakfast for us and I’ll wake Tiffany up,”
“But—“
She looked at me questioningly.
“I think she was tired from last night—“ I covered my mouth. “I mean... Tiffany and I...”I scratched my head. There’s no way I should tell her mother that I had sex with her daughter last night!!!!!!! I panicked, damn mouth! “I mean, we fought then made up then...” But her mother was eyeing me suspiciously now. “I’m sorry...” I sighed. “I, I never did tell you that I’m staying over...”
“Ah, Jessica. You better prepare a good breakfast for us then,” She went up two flights of stairs but stopped. “And oh, nice long shirt!” She smiled and proceeded up the stairs and just ignored the things I just said. Did she even understand? I rolled my eyes and shrugged the thought off but then I stiffened. Maybe her mother’s just as dense as her!
Oh no but right now, she would see Tiffany naked—
I didn’t even lock the door!
I glanced up and stood frozen at my place. No, oh no—ohnoohnohnohnoohno.
“Welcome home mum!” I heard Tiffany say and I sighed in relief. I went down the kitchen and prepared breakfast for my girlfriend and my future mother-in-law.
After a while they were down the kitchen too and conversed happily.
Ah, I’m just wearing my underwear and an oversized shirt. I whined inside my brain as I tossed the egg and the bacon on the pan. I heard the chairs being pulled as they sat. I glanced and smiled at Tiffany.
“Mum,” Tiffany started, making me feel alarmed with the tone of her voice.
“Fany dear, she’s your girlfriend right?” Her mother was more straightforward than I had ever imagined. The spatula I’m holding suddenly fell down the floor. There’s no way I would just leave Tiffany all alone, cornered by her mum! I took the spatula and put it on the sink and faced them.
“Excuse me,” I muttered and sat beside Tiffany.
I heard her mother sigh. “Mrs. Hwang, I like your daughter and,” I trailed off. “I’m asking for your permission to...”
I sounded like I’m asking Tiffany’s mother to marry her daughter.
“Don’t hurt my daughter,” Her mother’s eyes pierced through mine. “Jessica,”
“I wouldn’t. Never again,”
“Make sure of that. I trust her to you. For the second time,”
I looked at Tiffany and she squeezed my hand to assure me.
“So m-mum..?” Tiffany slowly uttered.
“You two have my blessing,” Her mother smiled at us. Unable to contain my happiness though, I jumped and hugged Tiffany as if her bones would break.
“Jessi!” I felt Tiffany smiling and searching for air.
“Thank you so much Mrs. Hwang,” I bowed down when Tiffany and I parted. I yelped and I saw Mrs. Hwang had a look of horror on her face—I sighed in relief ‘cause it’s not because she saw that I’m just wearing undies or something.
“I think the rice is burning!” Tiffany’s mum said and I ran towards the gas range and turned it off.
“Ahhh~” I yelled then I heard Tiffany’s mother laugh.
We ate in peace, yes. Of course, I cook deliciously.
*
“Hey,” Tiffany greeted as I sat on her bed after we ate breakfast, her body leaning on the door frame.
I smiled when she approached me and embraced me.
“Jess,” She sat beside me and rested her head on my shoulder. “Last night...” She sounded so shy and I felt my body warming up again. “I really treasure last night,” She uttered. “It’s the best night that I’d ever have,” She glanced up at me and I kissed her on her eyes.
“Me too,” I whispered then blushed.
She snaked her hand down my arms and intertwined our fingers.
“I’m glad your mum accepted me and us,” I stared at our intertwined fingers and have to smile. Everything’s at its place again, and just being beside her like this makes me want nothing more until—
I remembered that I still have to work for uncle today at 10o’clock in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I panicked and removed my hand on Tiffany’s.
“Fany-ah,” I stood up and faced her. “I...” I glanced at the wall clock on her room while my feet were jogging in place.
“Do you have to pee?” She stared blankly at me.
“N-No,”
“Jess, your feet are dizzying me!”
“Fany-ah!”
“You wanna exercise outside? But it’s already 10o’clock. Vitamin D is gone.”
“Let me finish Fany-ah!” I said, frustrated. “I have to go, I said to mother that I’ll only stay until 10o’clock and I’ve got to run some errands too,” I keep glancing on the clock.
“Okay then,” Tiffany too glanced at her wall clock. “I wish you could stay longer though.” She sighed. “See you at school tomorrow then,” She smiled before placing a kiss on my lips for goodbye.
*
I stretched as I walked down the block, nearing our house. It has been a really, really good day and it was really good last night. I blushed alone as I walked at the sidewalk. Tiffany’s mother likes me, I smiled proudly as the thought lingered on my mind. Ah we’re official~ finally~
I froze as I felt some stranger behind my back. Looking around, I narrowed my eyes suspiciously.
“Who’s there?”
But only the wind greeted my face.
Who was that? I just ignored my thoughts and went at the construction site.
*
The next day, Tiffany and I walked hand in hand at the school’s corridor. A grin plastered on my face as we got our books on the locker.
“Let me carry your books,” I smiled and held Tiffany’s books as she looked at me, her eyes turning into crescent moons.
“Thanks,” She smiled sweetly before I carried her books over mine.
Taeyeon and the gang welcomed us inside the room, though Taeyeon’s still avoiding me a bit, telling me I should proved her I really deserve Tiffany.
“Where’s Yoona?” I asked as I saw Yuri frowning at the corner of the room.
“W-We... fought,”
“What?! But you guys are just three days old..?”
Yuri pulled her hair out and stared at me. At the corner of my eye, Tiffany sat there on her seat and wrote as fast as she can—she forgot to do her homework because of me. Oh gosh.
“I think I need to tend to my girlfriend,” I muttered but Yuri held me on the wrist.
“Help me, Sica.”
“How could I help you? You won’t tell me what happened!”
“We went on a first date yesterday,”
“I feel you,” I tapped her on the shoulder. “my first date with Tiffany too was screwed up,” I scrunched my face and shook my head, as if to sympathize with her. Remembering it was all Yoona’s fault.
Yuri sighed. “Yoona saw me holding hands with some girl,”

“WHAT?! SHE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO GET ANGRY TO YOU THEN!!”
“Sica! It was wrong! I thought it was her because the park was crowded!! I was not looking and grabbed another girl’s hand! It’s not on purpose! I never even know that girl who looked like an octopus!”
“Oh gosh, who would ever believe you? And how would Yoong believe you if you mistook her as an octopus girl?”
“That’s the point,” She groaned. “But I swear the lips of the girl’s like an octopus!!”
“Just ask help with the danshins detectives,” I pointed at Sunny and Taeyeon but noticed they looked far away from each other. Yuri then slapped her forehead.
“They’re having issues too,” Yuri admitted.
“Me and Tiffany are already okay, now you guys..?” I sighed and went beside Tiffany.
“Yoona,” I heard Yuri whined as she followed Yoona, but Yoona just flicked her hair and ignored Yuri.
“What happened to them?” Tiffany asked, not looking at me but still writing her Advanced Algebra assignment.
“Yuri held an octopus-looking stranger’s hand out of mistake,”
Tiffany glanced at the YoonYul couple then looked at me. “And them..?” She pointed at her best friend and Sunny who just sat on their respective seats, not even looking at each other.
“I don’t know,”
“I think I know,” She stared at me and I observed her. “SunYeon’s in denial too. Sunny’s afraid of commitment or something, I think. Or maybe Taeng.”
“Wouldn’t we do anything?”
Tiffany shrugged then stared at me. “Asked the HyoYoung couple for help and reconciled them,”
“Erm...”
“Sunny bunny!”
“Taeyeon Pigeon!”
We both stared and saw the danshin detectives hugging each other all of a sudden. Their tears streamed down their faces as they whispered cheesy lines that were censored in this fic—not because they hinted sex or something—but because, they’re too cheesy and would make the readers vomit.
“Ah, I think we shouldn’t worry about them,” Tiffany said while eating a popcorn (where the heck did she get the popcorn?) and I nodded, my eyes fixed on the strange couple. Are they really together or what? I ate some popcorn from Fany’s too.
“Them?” I pointed again at YoonYul and Yuri eyes were like that of a puppy—begging for Yoona’s attention. But my best friend won’t even look at Yuri.
“Let them,” Tiffany was now eating a lollipop.
“Where did you get those?” I sounded frustrated with all the delicious snacks she’s eating and she shoved the lollipop on my mouth to shut me up. Man, I could taste her on my mouth. Ah.
“We’ll let them?” I sucked on the lollipop and Tiffany stared at me.
“See,” She pointed at YoonYul again and they were already talking sweetly at each other. I slapped my forehead and shook my head.
“What’s really happening?”
“Today’s pick-a-club-day,” Tiffany stared at me.
“Uh?”
“They’re just being moody because they still can’t decide with what club to join,”
“Eh?” I muttered.
“You’re so dense Jessi,”
I felt my body spun around a blackhole. You’re so dense Jessi. You’re so dense Jessi. You’re so dense Jessi. You’re so dense Jessi. You’re so dense Jessi~
Oh god, I should stop letting the readers read my POV, it felt like I’m all turning dense too and Tiffany, she’s turning smarter and looking like me.
AHHHHHHHH—
*
-So what club are we joining-
I wrote on a paper and passed stealthily at Tiffany’s table while our teacher in Health talked about STDs for the second time around. He said it’s a review.
-what do you think of-
I read it and twitched my eyebrows, I remembered when I asked her to be with me on the Arts Club last year, it took a lot of courage to ask her to be with me you know!
-Err Arts Club? You?-
-Sports Club-
My eyes widened. What the hell, is my girlfriend freaking serious?
-are you sure?-
-kidding! <3 not that I could think of anything anyway : P-
I rolled my eyes.
-let’s join where Taeyeon and the gang would join-
-Taeyeon joins strange clubs and math clubs! She joined Sooyoung’s fan club last year and did a caterpillar dance! You wouldn’t believe it!-
I bit my lip to control myself from laughing and tried to do my ultimate poker face when the teacher looked at me suspiciously. The board filled with all kinds of STDs.
-then what then?-
-kpop club : D-
-eh? You wanna spazz over those nine girls with their nice legs while dancing with a steering wheel?!-
-you should have known it’s a joke, are you really this dense Jess? : P-
-oh Tiffany, I don’t know! I should have not took over your POV you know!-
-Ah I’m bored Jess, entertain me : (-
I rolled my eyes again and got another paper, it’s already full with all our conversation during this Health class. Damn STDs.
-what club now? How would I entertain you?-
-dance? : P let’s think of the club later..-
-what? No-
I looked at her then she pouted.
-dance like those nine girls we saw last time on MTV : ( please?-
-no-
-please? : D I love you <3-
-all right-
She looked at me and I suddenly danced that steering wheel dance slowly and kinda stiff. Why am I even doing this for my girlfriend? I groaned but when she smiled I danced more. Mr. Taxi, Taxi, Taxi CHICKEN jeuksi, jeuksi, jeuksi(I sang inside my head, wait, ‘chicken?!’)~ She clapped without a sound then passed me the paper again. I glanced around and saw Taeyeon laughing all over without a sound. AT ME, AT ME, AT ME. And she was tapping on the chair too until the teacher saw her and told her to define all the STDs on the board—completely just like what’s in the book. And every word that would be missing equates to minus 3 on the quiz.
I just have to smirk and stuck my tongue out plus my poker face in front of the midget.
-you’ll claim your prize later Jess~-
I looked at my girlfriend then she winked at me, I think my smile could have reached my ears and I my eyes are glued at her while I daydre—
“Miss Jung,” I turned my head only to see the not-so amused face of the teacher, a stick being tapped on my table. “I rather not say this, but it felt like you’re oh so very overwhelmed being seatmates with Miss Hwang,” her eyebrows raised and I stared blankly at her, like I usually do. “Not just because you’re doing very good in my class, doesn’t mean you can do everything you want.”
I just looked at him with the same expression on my face.
“Now switch seats with Miss Kwon,” He turned his back on me. “During my subject you should sit away from Miss Hwang. She seemed to be a distraction.”
“Eh?” I uttered all of a sudden.
OH MAN!
I grabbed my things sulking, then pouted when my eyes met Tiffany’s.
“Don’t worry, you’re my perfect distraction,” I whispered to Tiffany before she hit me lightly on the arm. Her lips shyly puckered.
Ah, I hate this damn subject and this damn bald, stout teacher!!!
I sat beside Yoona and looked down the pavement.
“Distance makes the heart grow fonder,” Yoona suddenly whispered at me while smiling that alligator smile. (a/n: does alligator smile? Nvm!)
I nodded at her and agreed, glancing once more at my Tiffany who was scribbling something on her notebook while Yuri’s face looked like she just drunk a bottle of vinegar.
I smiled and slept.

Okay, so I’m back, I mean yes, this fanfic is finally back and it’s still me Jessica, and no, you can’t call me Jessi. My girlfriend, the one whom you’ve all come to know as Densie or Tiffany, is whining and never wanting to show her POV for this chapter so definitely, you guys will just laugh at me again. She’s whining that she’s still tired from what we did three days ago. Did I make it that hard for her? I just—never mind! She just laid her body like a princess for—
*clears throat then looks away*
I just don’t want her to get restless and moody again though I know for a fact that she just feels lazy to talk and talk and narrate. But I’ll get restless too ain’t I? I mean! LOOK— *sighs* I should really persuade this girl to take over the POV because my privacy will get ruined or that the readers will know what I think/plan for our first anniv—
*covers mouth then clears throat*
Forget about what I just said, you didn’t read anything! Sorry for ranting! I... just... okay, still haven’t got my prize for my girlfriend and you know what guys it’s—

Tiffany and I stood hand in hand at the middle of the gymnasium, our heads turning in all direction to pick for our club. The booths aligned across us while crowds of students fall in line.
“So what club shall we pick?” I whispered to her, watching her eyebrows furrowed in a ‘v’.
“Erm, Jessi...” Tiffany’s eyebrows suddenly relaxed, her lips turning to a smile. “Pink~” She said like a hypnotized, cloned sheep.
“Uh..?” I followed her gaze and it fell on a booth which is so pink, okay so just what the hell?! Then I saw Taeyeon and Yuri there, oh I just have a not-so good feeling about this booth. Tiffany pulled my hand and dragged me towards the booth.
“Taeyeon! Yuri!” Tiffany exclaimed as I saw her eyes gleaming with all the pink objects. “What club is this?” My girlfriend then grinned while I try my hardest to whisper to her that this was not the right club to pick. Look, I’m hearing ‘You want a move like jagger. I’ve got that moves like jagger’ on the background, Taeyeon and Yuri dancing to the beat, their heads banging as their arms moved in a sophisticated dance. What the f—
♪ My ego is bad~ I don’t give a shhhhhhhh~t
“Sica! Tiffany! Join us!!” Taeyeon waving her body as she held onto a pink clothing, dancing around and Yuri was doing this Waka-Waka like dance. I’m a bit worried to see Yoona at the corner of the booth, her face pale and in horror as she watched her girlfriend dancing like some jagger. I ignored them and roamed my eyes around then bit my lip. I can’t really understand what they’re talking about since the song is blasting through their sound system. At the same time, I noticed that the lines of the students are getting thicker. If we don’t apply now in the club that is ‘normal’, we’ll be on some abnormal looking club.
“EH?! WHAT?! NO thanks!” Tiffany shook her head and we went out of the booth.
“I thought you want that pinku club?” I nudged her when we got away from the pool of people. “EVERYTHING. PINK. MINE.” I copied her.
“It’s a ballet club!” Tiffany whispered to me. “That’s why it’s all pink!”
“And Taeyeon and Yuri are joining that club?!” I said, stupefied.
“Yes!” Tiffany rolled her eyes and dragged me to start our hunt for the ‘perfect club’.
We averted are eyes and scrutinized each booth.
So on the farthest right, there read ‘Mushroom Club’, are you kidding me? What?! No. The people were wearing Super Mario costumes and have mushroom stuff toys and telling the applicants that if you could save the princess of Super Mario for only 2 seconds then you’ll be the member of their club.
Then beside it was called Cucumber Club, hell no!!! I dragged Tiffany away who was chuckling. I wonder why the school approved these clubs!? I saw there are cucumber products like cucumber shampoo(?), cucumber sanitizer, cucumber soap, cucumber sauce, cucumber hand wash and even—C- CUCUMBER FEMININE WASH..?! Insane, insane, insane! What’s happening with our school?
When we both looked to the side, Aegyo club greeted us. Sunny was there, smiling and being cutesy-cutesy that I wanna punch her in the face. “Join our club pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...?” She pouted and winked at us, I just have to yank Tiffany away. And yes, there are also about 5 girls beside Sunny, doing their own package of aegyo. Crazy school, I think I’m getting dizzy already.
Beside the aegyo club was the Shikshin club where Sooyoung and Hyoyeon cooked sushi, takoyaki and other Japanese food. At least the club was getting normal but Sooyoung kept on eating all the food Hyoyeon cooked and they only ended up with only a member recruited. I wonder though how come she could also be a member of this club when she’s a varsity player..? Hmm.
Anyway, so we walked and the Arts Club was there.
“Should we just apply in this club again?” I sighed.
“I think, do you know another club that’s as normal as this?”
I shook my head and we would talk with the club representative when—
“APPLICATION IS ALREADY CLOSE! CLUB IS FULL!” They were already arranging their things and abandoning their booth.
I hunched my back and Tiffany patted me. “Why don’t we just join the Ballet Club?”
“No! I don’t want to wear that pink... p-pink....” I stuttered, imagining myself in that tutu!!!! NO WAY. JUST. NO. WAY. I’D RATHER WEAR AGAIN THAT CUCUMBY COSTUME. ORZ.
“I got it, okay,” Tiffany chuckled then sighed again. “I think we couldn’t do anything about this since all clubs look so crazy, so there?” She looked at me then pointed at one certain club which really looked normal.
“S-Soccer club...?”
“You’re great at playing soccer, aren’t you?” She smiled at me.
“But how about you..?” I worriedly asked.
“It’s okay! I’ll be with you!” She kissed me on the cheek then we picked and ventured to the Soccer Club. I sighed then I stiffened, I think someone’s really following us... or rather me...
I have to spin around again to check but no one was there. Weird.
“Jessi, are you all right?” Tiffany looked at me.
“Yes, I am.” I smiled in assurance and we nervously applied for the Soccer club.
Oh sheesh, I’m being a worry wart with everyone, how would Tiffany survive in this Soccer club? Can she just be my personal water girl? Or my towel girl?
I just have to face-palm myself.

“Mum, Tiffany is with me,” I cleared my throat after we went inside my house. The two of us situated ourselves on the seats of the kitchen table. “W-We’ve got to tell you something,”
I observed them while they have a ‘staring contest’ and I continuing with my introduction from how I met Tiffany—
I could see an invisible light between their eyes like those what I usually see in animes. But I don’t know how to start this, it’s not like I’ll just go like ‘Oh mum, here’s my gf, kthanxbye’
I sighed. “Uhh, mum... Fany...” I patted Tiffany on the back and she flinched a bit.
My mum then grinned. “It’s nice to see Tiffany again,” She beamed, her expression a while ago all changed instantly. My mum’s so weird, I can’t even comprehend her. Everybody’s so crazy in this fic, me is a special exception.
I sighed for like the second time and watched as Tiffany bowed for the third time. “It’s nice to see you too Mrs. Jung,”
“So what is it that you’re gonna tell me..?” My mum looked at me then Tiffany.
“Mum, I want you to know that...”
“OH MY GOSH. OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH!!” She waved her hand like she was spazzing and I felt so embarrassed of her. Why should she be so like fangirling? Why should she act like this in front of my Tiffany.
“I KNEW IT! IT WORKED!”
“What mum?” I furrowed my eyebrows together.
“The—“
“Mum, Tiffany is my girlfriend,” I said bluntly, my hand reaching for Tiffany’s and we placed our hands in front of my mother’s eyes. “I want you to know that and I ask for your acceptance.” I could feel my girlfriend staring proudly at me.
“Oh gosh! IT WORKED!” Her eyes glistened then she stared at us with her beaming eyes. “This tea worked!!”
“What?!”
“This is a love potion I bought from Oh Eun Jin!” :3<-Mum’s face
I think my face just turned white.
“Eh?” My jaw just dropped and Tiffany was chuckling beside me. “But mum, even before you made Tiffany drink that, she’s already my girlfriend.” Mum’s face looked so disappointed. Hell, I don’t care though, I should just tell her everything about us. “It’s a fart potion!” I accused and frowned, Tiffany stiffened beside me.
“Really?” Her eyes widened.
Is this really my mum? Should mums act this way?
“Oh gosh, did you two already—“ My mum suddenly covered her mouth.
“Mum!” I whined.
“All right, all right.” Mum smiled. “To be honest when Tiffany took care of you when you got sick, I prayed to all saints that she should be my daughter-in-law.” Mum confided. “Then when you didn’t talk about her again after that day, I decided to act thus the tea.” Mum looked so proud and I wanted to pull my own hair. What the hell?
“Thank you auntie,” Tiffany smiled at her then mum leaned forward the table, gently holding Tiffany’s hand in between hers.
“Of course, I can’t believe my Jessica had blinded you,”
“Mum!!!” I whined more.
“I’m kidding, you two should bring me so many grand kids okay!”
“But mum that won’t happen because you know that—“
“Yes, technically, you two have [censored] so you two wouldn’t produce a child and because of having only a [censored] and using only [censored] but worry no more, I already have a solution.”
I stared in disbelief as I squeeze Tiffany’s hand. “I don’t know if she’s still my mother,” I whispered, Tiffany patting me to assure me we’re not in some mental hospital.
“I already ordered Fertility Potion! Muahahahaha!” Mum stood up from her seat and raised her brows multiple of times while grinning. I never thought my mum could be this... scary... and determined. “So had you two gone to a date?”
Tiffany nodded softly. “But auntie it didn’t go well...”
“Here!” Mum tossed tickets from her clothes (I don’t know where she got them) then we looked at the ticket: Fertility Festival 2011.
Man, I think I would have a migraine with my mother. “Err no thanks. So uhh, mum, we have to go,” I just want to get my ass off this house. “W-We have to uhh, buy some materials for our project.” I white lied.
“Aww, why too soon my children? Won’t we celebrate?” Mum pouted. (a/n; author is high, excuse me)
“Bye mum,” I stood up and dragged Tiffany up the chair. “We—“
Mum turned her back on us then got something from kitchen counter. “A cup of tea..?” Her eyes beamed evilly, her accent like Mr. Bean’s.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT AGAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIN!” Tiffany and I flew out of the house, literally kicking the front door.
Oh my god, at least she’s totally crazy with us!!!
*
“I’m sorry about mum Tiff,” I said as I panted. “I’m sorry that she acts that way,”
“Hey it’s okay...” She answered back, her own breaths ragged. “At least she’s okay with us being together.”
“You mean, super okay,” I rolled my eyes but was rather taken aback when Tiffany placed a chaste kiss on my nose. I blushed then smiled at her.
“Now..?”
“I think I’ll bring you home already, it’s getting dark.” She nodded then we started to walk.
“Fany-ah, I’m planning to bring you somewhere tomorrow...”
“Don’t tell me you get the Fertility Festival tickets..?” She raised a brow in amusement.
“No!” I retorted. “Of course not!”
“Where?”
“Secret,”
“Eh, Jessi! Tell it to me!” She yanked my arm but I rather just stayed motionless.
“It’s a pre-celebration for our first anniv and it should be a secret,” I stuck my tongue out.
She then pouted and all I’ve gotta do was to poke her cheeks. “It should be a surprise though I don’t know if you’ll like it but...” I confided.
“I would like it,” She smiled. “As long as I’m with you,” She continued. “Good things happen to those who wait right?”
“Yep,” I assured her then ruffled her hair before kissing her on the forehead. “So are you still tired?” I asked her rather seriously while I continue to walk her home. “I think you’ve rested much already so I’m anticipating your POV next chapter,” I continued and she just looked at me with a reddened face. “What?” I suddenly asked her when I felt her hand slipped away from mine. “Did I say something to annoy you?”
“Not really,” She stared at me then she smiled. “I just... well, I’ll take the POV tomorrow but I forgot I haven’t given you your prize yet,”
YES! YES! YESH! YOSH! AT LAST SHE REMEMBERED AFTER 3 WEEKS! I WAS DANCING INSIDE MY MIND! YESH!
I scratched my cheek and bit my lip a little.
“Move closer,” She said shyly and I complied—our faces just inches away from each other. Slowly, I stared down at her closed palm. “Close your eyes,” She asked and of course I did as a smile traced my lips. Somehow, I felt something cold on my neck and I shuddered a little. “Open them now,” I opened my eyes and I saw Tiffany looking down, her blushing cheeks glinting beneath the moonlight. I looked down my neck and saw a crystal pendant in which ‘JT’ was engraved. My hands thumbed it and I raised my eyes and met Tiffany's.
“Thank you,” I smiled then she leaned closer, our lips touching, grazing just like the very first time she held me up the rooftop. I pulled her closer as her scent filled me. “Thank you,” I said again and I pecked her on her eyes, eyebrows, lips, chin... then caressed her black hair lovingly.
“This wasn’t too much but...” Tiffany started.
“It’s the best thing I’d ever received,” I grinned and kissed her again, until my hand tilted her chin a little so that I could kiss her more passionately.
And just like that, I realized all over again how much I am in love with her.
[Poet Jessica mode is on]
How her spell had been casted on me for eternity.
I don’t need any potions or any tea.
Tiffany is enough for me.
And all her beauty, forever, I would see.
10 First Meeting of the Club
I stretched my hand, side by side then stretched my feet up and down. I wiggled my body and finally went out of bed, drank my morning water and headed to the bathroom. After a while I ate my breakfast then brush my teeth and grinned at the mirror in front of me.
“Oh gosh, you’re one pretty girl right there,” I winked at myself then patted down my floral dress. I turned around a bit and glanced at the mirror again. “Oh, sexy back yea Fany,” I winked then got a little stunned when mother, without even knocking, burst the door open.
“Have a date with Jessica?” She smiled.
“Yes,” I blushed then twirled around so mother could see what I’m wearing.
“You look so beautiful dear,” She patted me then brought something in front of me. “I think this bag matches what you’re wearing,”
I stared at the beige satchel in front of me then hugged her. “Thank you so much mum!!”
“Oh, arrange your light lipstick here like this,” Then I panicked by throwing my hands up in the air when I heard the door bell rang.
“I think she’s here,” Mum raised her eyebrows lots of times before turning her back from me. “Oh, there’s a bit smudge of mascara on your left cheek!” I quickly glanced at the mirror then she got the door down the living room after posing an okay sign when I wiped the smudge of the mascara.
*
I hurriedly tip-toed my feet at the back of my mum and saw Jessica at the doorstep. I saw her bow then greet my mum a ‘good afternoon’.
“Oh she’s here,” Mum side stepped then smiled at me then at Jessica.
“So, ready to go..?” Jessica shyly asked at me then I nodded. After a second or two at staring at each other, she glanced at my mum and looked at her.
“Oh, you guys should go,”
“You look fancy,” Jessica complimented me while she reached for my hand and guided me down the doorstep. Her eyes travelled at my floral dress up my face. “And lovely,”
I have to blush again.
“Curfew, eight in the evening okay?” Mum yelled and waved at us.
*
“Shall we?” Jessica made me hook my arm on hers and we started to walk. “You know, I feel a bit embarrassed having only to wear this,” I look at her and knew what she was saying. She was only wearing a sweater and jeans.
“But you look fine with that, you always look fine in my eyes,” I smiled then she patted my hand but stare at me with a skeptic face.
“Are you just telling me that ‘coz I’m your boy—girlfriend?” She cleared her throat.
“Of course not! You always look lovely and oh, you’re wearing the necklace~” I chimed.
“It’s perfect on my damn sexy collar bones,” She winked at me.
“Oh Jess,” I slapped her lightly. “So where are we going?” I continued.
“Himitsu da,”
“What?” I raised an eyebrow.
“It’s a secret,” She chuckled.
“Japanese huh! Are you obsessing over that so-called Shojou Jidai huh?” I raised a brow once more.
“Oh, I love that girl rapping a stanza on their Genie song,”
“You’re gonna exchange me with that girl..?” I stared at her but she just smiled.
“Of course....” She looked at me and I glared at her. “Not,”
“Good,” I said bluntly. “So where are we going?” She chuckled again. “Why won’t you tell me? What if you’re planning to kidnap me?”
“Well, if I do. I know you’ll probably volunteer yourself to be kidnap by me,”
I rolled my eyes. “Fine! Kidnap me but eventually I’m yours to keep.” Then she pulled me closer to her.
“It’s nice you already know your fate,” She smirked playfully.
*
After a bus ride, we finally reached the destination and my eyes suddenly glimmered with the elegant fountain that greeted us at the lobby.
“So, do you think you’ll have fun?” I wandered my eyes around and finally realized that she brought me in the ocean park.
“Of course! I love fishes!!” I exclaimed and she laughed in amusement.
“So let’s go?” She grinned then we held hands before venturing inside the ocean park.
*
“Omo, that fish looks like... you!” I laughed at this fish whom I don’t know the name, it looks sleepy.
“What?” She nudged me. “Say that again..?”
“I’m kidding, oh look!” I pointed at a puffer fish. “Looks like Sooyoung’s cheek,” We both laughed then walked further until I saw this baby fish. “Oh my god, so little like Taeyeon and Sunny!”
“But their like the food for the bigger fishes,” Jessica said.
“Oh yer..... right...” My mouth opened a bit after I saw a bigger fish swallowing Taeyeon and Sunny whole.
“Look!” I pointed up the ceiling and saw a cute sting ray swimming up. “Aww, it’s so cute! Its eyes are so small! And the mouth—woah—so cute!”
“It looks scary!” Jessica countered.
“It looks cute!”
“No, scary!”
“Cute!”
“Scary!”
“Cute!”
“I said it’s scary!”
“Whatever!” I looked away. How could she not find a sting ray cute and fluffy?! I walked out but she was still holding my hand. Throughout the day, I just held her hand but never really talked to her. A sting ray is cute. Period. And it was up the ceiling, swimming above us in all carefree.
“I know you find it cute, but I just don’t find it cute,” She gulped when I heard her talk. “W-Well, yes, of course it’s cute but not f-for me... I mean... Y-Yes it’s cute” she pouted a bit but I looked away again before we visited the souvenir shop.
“Wow!!” I went to the stuff toy section and saw all kinds of fishes there. I glanced a bit and saw Jessica looking at me with a blank expression.
Why do our dates always end up in a not-so-good way?
I frowned but push the thoughts away when I saw a sting ray stuff toy. “Wah!” I hugged the toy and twirled around but stopped mid way when I saw Jessica caressing a mug with fishes as its design. She certainly looked annoyed so I, disappointed at how she was acting, dropped the toy and tapped her on the shoulder.
“Let’s go, I’m hungry,” I said with a neutral tone and we went out of the shop without holding hands.
It’s her fault, anyway. I pushed my hair backwards and knew that she was following me behind like a stray dog.
*
I looked around the menu of the cafe and have to settle for an espresso and a piece of caramel-chocolate cake, Jessica paid while I settle at the table near the windows. After a while Jessica sat across me and I felt her eyes all over me but I didn’t bother to look back at her. With the ambiance getting more and more awkward, I was glad that the waiter brought our orders even before Jessica could open her mouth to talk again and slam on my face how scary a sting ray is.
I stirred my espresso and took a sip but got disappointed with its bland taste. I got the napkin but my hand was stopped by Jessica’s.
“Let me wipe it for you,” She uttered and I let her wipe the espresso on my lips. “Better,” She smiled then stared at me. “I’ll just have to go to the bathroom, wait for me,” She smiled again but I only answered with a nod.
I sighed then forked the slice of cake on my plate. Obviously frowning, I cursed under my breath about how sting rays could not be really scary at all.
“Why does she find it scary..?” I forked the cake.
“It’s cute!” I forked it again.
“Why can’t she just respect my fetish over sting rays!!” I forked and forked and forked the cake again until my anger subsided.
“Why am I getting pissed off over this shallow matter?” I frowned and stared wide-eyed with the cake which looked like a powdered piece of bread.
I pushed my back on the seat and tapped my foot. “Did her stomach ache? What’s taking her so long..?” I frowned more until the bells of the cafe chimed and Jessica was running out of breath. Hurriedly, I composed myself and pretended to not have met her eyes.
She sat down again then sipped her own espresso.
“So...” She started and I met her eyes again. Oh god, is she medusa? Her eyes are turning me to stones! “Did you have fun? I’m sorry, the ocean park is really lame and a bit childish but...”
“Thank you for today,” I softly said. “I had fun though I don’t know why you don’t really like—“
“Miss Hwang?” The waiter barged in then brought a paper bag in front of my face. “Someone said to deliver this to you,” The waiter irksomely said then went away. I glanced at Jessica and she raised a brow.
“What’s that?” She asked.
“I don’t know,” I retorted. “Really,”
“Who would give this to you?” Jessica stared at the paper bag then back at me.
“I said I have no idea,” I pressed my lips together.
“Oh, sure you do,” Jessica tapped her chin. “Open it,” She commanded.
“Why would I open it! I don’t even know what is inside and from who this came from!”
“Are you keeping something from me?” She narrowed her eyes on me and I glared at her.
“Now you’re accusing me of cheating on you?” I asked. “Gracious, that’s nice thinking!”
“Then open it!” She said and I, pissed off already, tore the paper bag and quickly got what’s inside until a sting ray stuff toy covered my eyes.
“I’m sorry,” I glanced back at Jessica when I heard her talk. “I’m sorry for acting really stupid awhile ago. I don’t like it when you’re... angry with me.” She gently squeezed my hand and I stared at the sting ray.
“I’m sorry for acting sensitive...” I looked down the table. “I... I think I’m pregnant.”
“WHAT?!” Jessica stood up from her seat and the people around the cafe stared at her. She took her seat again then shook me. “I mean, what? What?! I’m gonna be a father and w-what... then... Tiffany we’re still young and—“
I laughed suddenly and Jessica blinked her eyes multiple of times.
“Silly,” I suppressed a laugh. “How could I be pregnant?”
“Ah yes!” She tugged her chest and heaved a sigh then grinned at me. “Y-You got me there.” I kissed her on the lips then whispered a sincere ‘thank you for understanding me’ on her ears. She smiled with that.
*
“Do you think Totoro would feel nice seeing a new brother fish beside him?” She joked while we walk towards my house, my other arm pinching the flat face of the sting ray.
“At least he won’t be alone anymore.” I smiled and she nodded.
“Oh, are you ready for the club tomorrow?” She suddenly asked.
“Eh?” My face looked like I just saw a ghost and she laughed with that. I guess the courage I had when we picked the club had vanished, I never really thought deeply about it.
“I’m here, remember,” She patted me at the back and I rested my head on her shoulder as we walk.
“Yes, I’m still a bit afraid of kicking soccer balls,” I chuckled nervously.
“Don’t worry, you’ll be the star player, believe me.” She tapped me on the back again and I have to smile.
*
“So, have you had fun today?” Jessica asked when my hand found the gate.
“Yes, I do.” I answered. “I hope we could do this often,” I played with her fingers and glanced up at her.
“Don’t worry, once you’re my wife we’ll do this every minute of everyday,” She grinned and I slapped her.
“Bad girl, thinking already of marriage,”
“Don’t you want to get married with me?” She frowned.
“Of course I do! But it’s too early for that darling,” I caressed her hand to comfort her. “I’ve always seen everyday of my life only with you,”
“Me too,” She caressed my hand back. “It’s just that—“
We both turn our heads to look at the bush, a weird sound just came there.
“I’ll just check it out—“ I pulled Jessica back at me.
“Don’t, maybe it’s just some kind of a dog or a cat,” I reasoned.
“Tiffany,” Jessica sounded serious all of a sudden. “I’ve been sensing someone following me these days...” She confessed.
“Why did you only tell me this now?” I looked at her worriedly.
“Because I thought I was only imagining things,” She whispered to me. “Look, I’ll just check out whoever or whatever’s on the bush. Stay there okay,”
“But—“
“No buts,”
“I’ll check with you.” I said stubbornly and she scratched her head.
“Okay, let’s go,” She gripped tighter in my hand when we reached the bush. “When I count to three,” We both stared at the bush and we walked cautiously.
“One,”
“Two,”
“Three,”
WHEEEEZ (bush sfx. LOL)
“M—“
“A—“
“Mum?!”
“Auntie?”
Jessica and me exclaimed at the same time.
“Mum! What are you doing here?!” Jessica stomped her feet and stared at her mother who was grinning at us. “And you..?” Jessica crossed her arms and stared at another girl beside her mother.
“Hi, I’m Oh Ji Eun—“
“You were the president of the SY Club last year aren’t you!?” I yelled. I remembered her on the gymnasium with a girl beside her, fanning her and calling her majesty, she was also the one who laid out the rules to me at the SY Club. Err.
“Oh yes I was!” She fixed her spectacles.
“So can I ask what are you doing here with my mum?” Jessica asked.
“Oh your mum is one of my loyal customers and she want to see where I get my tea leaves,”
“And..?” Jessica stared longer. “Are you the one who was following me?”
“Because I was trying to get a strand of your hair so that the potions your mum wants me to do would be effective when you and your girlfriend...” She glanced at me. “...drink it,”
“Uhh, let’s go Fany?” Jessica looked at me. “You should return to your house, I can handle this.” I just nodded and Jessica took me in front of our gate.
“I didn’t know you have tea leaves in front of you house,” Jessica rolled her eyes.
“I didn’t know I would have a stomachache with the tea leaves my mother was growing in front of our house.”
“Anyway, see you tomorrow at school,” She sighed and placed a kiss on my forehead. “Good night, Tiffany.”
“Good night, Jessi,” I learned forward and blushed when she placed another chaste kiss on my lips.
“Bye,” She smiled.
“Be easy on your mum okay?”
“Yes, of course but not on that Oh Something,” She grinned and I shook my head in amusement
**
“Do you guys don’t really want to transfer on the ballet club..?” Taeyeon asked me for the nth time.
“No,” I said hard. “Jessica doesn’t want to wear a tutu. Neither do I!”
“Oh, okay then. Oh, Health Class is next and Jessica’s already frowning.” Taeyeon looked at Jessica who was transferring seats.
“You know she can’t stand being away with Tiffany even for only a millisecond,” Yuri rolled her eyes.
“That’s not healthy! Distance makes the heart grow fonder. An enough time away with each other is healthy.” Taeyeon supported Yuri.
“I know, I’m not complaining.” I stared at them.
“But she’s back to sleeping on her own world even though she’s sitting with her best friend.” Yuri took her seat beside me and dropped her bag on the floor. “Do you guys even fight?”
I immediately furrowed my eyebrows. “Yes, of course.”
“Yes they fight over meaningless and the shallowest things. You won’t believe it.” Taeyeon tapped Yuri on the shoulder. “They even fought because of a piece of paper.”
“Oh my gosh, don’t tell Yuri that!”
“It’s because Jessica has OCD and Tiffany tore the paper into half in unequal length and they didn’t talk ‘til dismissal.”
“At least mistaking Yoona for an octopus girl is better to fight over with,” Yuri said proudly.
“Damn, that’s shallow too!” Taeyeon rolled her eyes. “Sunny and me don’t fight. We have rules.” She grinned.
“Rules?!” Yuri and I both stared at her.
“Just think of it, no strings attached.” Taeyeon winked at me then left because the teacher was already in front.
“That sounds so weird for me,” Yuri whispered.
“I don’t know with those two.” I plopped my chin in one of my hands and started writing the lecture. I glanced at Jessica who was sleeping beside Yoona.

WELCOME TO LE SOCCER CLUB!
Jessica and I stared at the banner before opening the room of the soccer club at the back of the gymnasium. The adviser of the club was there, sitting on his table with the other members who were actually wearing their jerseys.
“I reckon, you two are the new players?”
I gulped.
No, no, no. No, please, let me just stay on the benches or be Jessica’s towel or water girl.
We both nodded and the coach tossed at us our jerseys. “Change,”
After changing, we went inside the room again and took our respective seats.
“So, we would start practicing tomorrow after classes.”
Jessica and I both looked at each other.
“If you want to retain your varsity status or be on the varsity players’ list, you have to do well.”
“Sir,” I raised my hand.
“Yes Miss Hwang?”
“I’m just wondering if we would practice everyday after classes?”
“No, we would only practice on a club day and on Saturdays. Tomorrow is a Saturday right?”
“Yes,” I answered.
“So back at our topic...”
Blah, blah, blah. I’m too tired to narrate everything he said, my focus came directly on a girl who was staring at Jessica. Okay, so why the hell is she staring and smiling at my Jessica? When the girl saw that I was looking back at her, she looked away and turned her attention back on the coach. At the back of her jersey, the surname ‘Im’ was printed.
“So here are our first five players for tomorrow.”
My ears perked up suddenly. Not me, not me, not me. I felt Jessica squeezing my hand when she discovered I’m tensing up.
“Number one, Miss Hana,“
I stared at the coach and uttered my mantra.
“Number two, Miss Park,”
“Number three Miss Im,” I stared at this Im and she was patted by the so-called Miss Park.
“Number four is Miss Jung,” I patted Jessica on her shoulder and she smiled at me but on my peripheral vision, I could see this Miss Im staring at Jessica again.
“Do you know her...?” I whispered on Jessica’s ear and she knitted her brows together but then shook her head.
“I don’t, I just met her now.”
“She has blonde hair too,” I frowned.
“But my hair now is brown,”
“I know... I just feel uneasy with her a bit...”
“Maybe you’re just thinking too much,”
“Maybe,” I nodded.
“Number five is Miss Hwang.”
“Eh?” I pointed at myself.
“Yes you,” The coach stared at me. “Okay, class dismissed.”
11 First Rival
“My name is Im JinAh,” I heard as I walk rather nervously along the lockers. “But it’s – yea, well...” The blonde girl twirled her hair onto her fingers seductively. In turn, I neared the lockers’ corner, having a brief view of the blonde’s back. “Nana for short,”
I stopped and saw this so-called Nana battering her eyelashes at Jessi. I frowned and took steps closer until I met Jessi’s eyes.
“Fany!” Jessi exclaimed in relief and smiled after the Nana girl who spun around and fixed her disinterested, ferocious gaze on me.
“So I’ve got to go Jessica, nice to meet you.” Before the blonde girl go, she patted Jessi on the shoulder first. “Bye, see you later at the field,”
“Yea,” Jessi replied almost irksomely. “So..” She glanced down then back at me. “Give that to me,”
“This?” I glanced at the sneakers on my hands. “Why..?” I was startled a bit when Jessica got it then knelt down.
“Insert your feet,” Jessica looked up at me and smiled. “Come on, practice’s starting soon.”
“Thanks,” I willing myself to blush and gently put one of my foot on the shoe, Jessi tying the shoestring with much elegance. “What about that Nana girl?” I asked.
“I dunno, she’s just introducing herself I guess.” Jessica proceeded to tie the other shoe. “I don’t even know why she’s introducing herself in the first place.”
“I’m nervous. You know how clumsy I am.” Tapping my foot to see if her shoes were fit enough, I decided to change the subject.
“Don’t worry, you’ll do fine,” Jessica stood up and patted me on the head.
I just answered with a nod and smiled back to my girlfriend, pushing the thoughts away about what could have been this Nana girl is planning and that whatever it is, I sure don’t feel good about it.
“She likes you I think,” I absentmindedly asked while we walked out towards the soccer field.
Jessica let her eyebrows for a ‘v’ and tapped her chin. “No thanks and no way,” She then suppressed a laugh, putting an arm on my shoulders.
*
The soccer field’s grass was just fine as our ankles feel a tingly sensation because of wearing short socks. The midday sun wasn’t that hot and wasn’t that dim either, it made a perfect impression that playing soccer today was just perfect as it is. The containers of soccer balls were at the corner of each goal posts, the players assigned to play today aligning on their respective places and these assigned players would be playing with the school’s regulars that it doesn’t seem to make sense to me how or why should we practice today.
I glanced at Jessi and she gave me a nod, her feet playing with the ball as the coach called us one by one and explained to us rules in playing the game.
“Okay, so to train the first five players today, we’d call the regulars to play with you.” The coach clasped his hands together and gave each one of us an intense stare. “This is also a good way to start since I’m finding new regulars for our school. Some of our regulars would be graduating this year and this could also be a chance to see who could be included. Scores would determine your grade for this activity though so do your best.” He tossed the ball on one of his hands and blew his whistle. “Positions!” He clapped his hands after handing the ball to one of his acquaintances.
Why am I even here again? I silently groaned. I don’t really know how to play this in the first place although Jessi taught me a little yesterday. This could be exhausting but at least this is still way better than wearing a tutu.
I went to my place silently and saw at the corner of my eye the blond girl. I craned my neck to the left and she was looking at me, her lips tugged into a playful smirk and she glanced at Jessica and opened her mouth to speak.
Mine. She mouthed after shifting her eyes from Jessica to me. She would be mine.
I shook my head and puckered my lips and mouthed a ‘What do you want?’
Her. She lip-synched once again and her smirked never failed to degrade me.
Biting the inside of my cheeks, I decided to just ignore and confront her later after the game. If that was really the case, this would be the first time that I’ll ever meet someone who’s as bold as wanting to yank my girlfriend away from me. Wasn’t it just so pathetic?
Anyway, the soccer ball went directly to my direction and I kicked. Much to my dismay, all I kicked was dust and the other team snatched the ball from me, Jessica running and trying hard to get the ball again. I frowned and the coach shook his head when I looked at him after bowing my head. Running, Jessica passed by me and held my wrist.
The regulars already scored three points and our players were already heaving. Our goalkeeper by the name of Nicole Jung was dusting her jersey and stomped her foot on the grass out of irritation of what’s happening. Maybe she did want to be one of the regulars or she had been blaming herself but what can we do, we’re just amateurs. Especially me, of course, I’m not even near qualified.
“Don’t worry okay?” She ran again and I tried my hardest to regain the ball. Unluckily, Nana regained the ball first as we cornered one of the regular players. See, we’re teammates but the competition was there. She smiled playfully at me then kicked the ball out. I ran towards it but was surprise when I saw her in front of me. I took steps back because our goal post should be nearer and I could kick it easier in.
That was when the time that I should have known that I shouldn’t have trusted that she would go easy on me.
She kicked the ball hard towards my direction and I closed my eyes shut. Putting my foot upfront with all my strength, I kicked the ball hard until I felt it stung my head. One of my legs got out of balance as I propel forward, staggering and ending up wounding my knee and hand.
All I heard was the whistle as I felt warm tears at the back of my eyes. Opening one of my eyes, I saw blood trickling down my knee and my hand was bruised when I tried to support myself. I tried my hardest to stand up until I see Jessica’s back in front of me, sitting on her feet.
“Get on,” I heard her say.
“I-I I’m fine,” I forced myself to stand up only to flinch.
“Get on Fany, you can’t stand.” I saw Jessi peer at me and I could never tell what she was thinking. “Please,” Her voice turned softer.
I put my arms on her shoulders and she stood up, piggy-back riding me. As we walk, I felt their eyes on me and I hid my face on the small of Jessica’s back. Peeking a bit, I realized that Jessica stopped walking and move her neck to Nana’s direction.
“Never show your face again,” I could feel Jessi’s voice vibrate on her back. I sneaked and saw Nana’s eyes widened, her hands trembled and Jessica continued to walk—passing by her without any care. “We’re leaving the club,”
“Miss Hwang can leave but not you because you have potential—“
“I don’t care,” Jessica pushed the gate open and we exited the field.
*
“Does it hurt?” Jessica worriedly placed the antiseptic on my knee as I bit my lip and shook my head slowly.
Taeyeon, Yuri and Yoona observed us with concerned eyes, crowding me at the middle of the bench.
“I saw them by the bleachers awhile ago,” Jessi continued as she now placed a bandage on my knee.
“Well we didn’t really want to be discovered since Tiffany has this habit of getting so nervous,” Taeyeon sighed. “Who did this to you again? That Nana girl? Oh god, something’s wrong with her.”
“Yea,” Yuri agreed after clicking her tongue. “Does she like Sica that much? But she just saw her yesterday for Christ’s sake!”
I blew air on my wound and semi-consciously wiped the corner of my eye.
“Please don’t cry,” Jessi frowned and wiped my eyes with her towel. “I do—“
“Did you really see her for the first time yesterday?” My eyes met hers intensely.
“Yes, I only met her yesterday. Don’t you believe me?” She puckered her lips a little.
“I do, it’s just that... it’s unbelievable that...” I placed my chin on my knees and hugged it, feeling a little pang of pain from the wound. Jessi placed herself beside me and sighed.
“Oh guys, don’t think about that bitch too much. The two of you already resigned from the club.” Hyoyeon came with Sooyoung who carries water bottles from the convenience store and placed it beside me. “Move, Taeng.”
“So are you guys really joining the Ballet Club?” Taeyeon beamed, patting Yuri and Yoona at the same time who grinned back. Woah, seemed like Yoona already liked the club.
“Wearing tutu...?” I immediately looked at Jessi.
She shrugged then rolled her eyes before taking a gulp of water. “I’d rather wear tutu than see that Nana again.”
I chuckled and let my head rest on her shoulders, the other girls smiling and celebrating for joining them at the Ballet club.
**
Jessi nervously tapped her pen faster and faster every minute. She was spacing out at lunch time that I have to tell her that there are cucumbers growing in front of her eyelashes so I could talk to her sanely.
“Are you okay...?”
“We’re w-wearing a tutu later,” She shook my body and screwed her eyes shot. “J-Just think of... Oh my god,” She buried her face on her palms.
I gave off a hearty laugh and squeezed her hand. “At least it’s better than the ‘Cucumber Club’,”
“Right,” She nodded and blinked multiple times before squeezing my hand back. “Is your wound...”
“I just wish there’s no scar,”
“I don’t care about scars,” She clipped stray strands of hair on my ear.
*
“So this is it?” We move our eyes from left to right.
“Who told you you’re wearing at tutu? You’re just here to assist the ballet dancers of the school.” The mentor rolled her eyes and continued to practice with the ballet dancers. Jessi smiled with that but I felt a little foolish.
“So we’ll just hand them these towels and bottles?? And costumes?” Jessi pointed at Taeyeon and she was actually, literally ogling the ballet dancers as they now raise their feet and Yoona and Yuri playing Jenga at the side. Just what the— I looked at Jessi and however way she tried to deny it, I know she’s ogling too! “Stop gawking at them!” I slapped her in the head.
“Ouch, that hurts.” She rubbed her head and pouted at me. “I’m not gawking.”
“You do! Your mouth’s even hanging open that I doubt even a lizard could get in there!”
“No! I’m not!”
“Stop being defensive!” I crossed my arms and arranged myself on the floor, closing my eyes.
“Okay, I’m gawking but it’s just that! Their butts are bounci— aaawww—“ I pulled her ear to shut her up.
“You’re telling that in front of your girlfriend?!”
“But Tae has Sunny too!” Jessica frowned.
“That’s different.” I closed my eyes again and felt her fingers poke me. “What?” I peeled an eye open.
“Are you angry? I’ll stop looking.” She faced the mirror, the ballet dancers reflected there.
“You can still see them there!!” I rolled my eyes. “This club is so boring,” I continued.
“I know, let’s just sleep.”
“Close your eyes while sleeping okay?” I joked after nudging Jessi continuously at the side of her ribs.
**
“Alone?”
I walked around the school’s garden and saw the Nana girl in front of me. I just finished watering the plants and I was planning to get home already.
“What is it?” I greeted in much dismay.
“Care for some challenge?” She smirked.
“I don’t. What do you want?” I narrowed my eyes, wishing that I didn’t send Jessica off first.
“So you’re a goody two shoe huh? I wonder how come Jung fell in love with you.” She clicked her tongue. “You look so damn plain.” Her eyes travelled from my feet up my head in disgust.
“Really? Then how about you?” I retorted.
“I’m gonna get you girlfriend back.”
“You can’t! What’s wrong with you?!”
“She’s known me since we were little and we’re a match-made in heaven.” She laughed that throaty laugh.
“What do you—“
“You didn’t know? She never told you?” She went closer, towering over me. “Your girlfriend and I are childhood friends. And you just came to her life now while I, I’ve been a part of her life since day one. You’re nothing but plaything for her.”

“You didn’t know? She never told you?” She went closer, towering over me. “Your girlfriend and I are childhood friends. And you just came to her life now while I, I’ve been a part of her life since day one. You’re nothing but a plaything for her.”
I was Jessica’s childhood friend too, right..?
But our friendship never did last but only for mere months, she started to distance herself after her parents divorced. And I- I—
.
.
.
At that moment, I wanted to break down and cry.
- Jessica -
I placed a hand on one of my cheeks and stared wide-eyed at her. My fringe covered my eyes, my mouth hang open as I pound my mind to decipher what all of this was about.
“Fany, why did you—“ I suppress a smile, maybe this was just a joke or something but her glare never did falter. “Fany...” I tried to hold her but she swatted my hand. “Why are you acting this way??”
“You’re asking me why I’m acting this way?! Why?!” Her tone got higher and I saw tears start to well up from her eyes. “How could you even say that when you know what it is?! Why are you trying to deny it!?”
“Fany, I don’t know what you’re talk—“
“Don’t touch me!”
“What’s wrong?!” I shook my head. “Are you angry because I didn’t water the plants with you yesterday?” I smiled a bit. “I promise to water it with you next time,” she looked away and wiped her tears with all force.
“Am I this dense for you?!” She started to nag. “Am I?! Well Jessi, not anymore. Don’t take me for a goddamn plaything.”
“’Plaything’?! What ‘plaything’?!” I looked at her in disbelief, what did I do? Is she having Post Menstrual Syndrome?! “Fany,” I sighed and tried my best to keep calm. “I don’t really understand what you’re talking about,”
“Stop pretending!!” She suddenly yelled which left me hanging.
“Fany-ah... What did I do?” I blinked my eyes while I see her crying.
“Nana,” She whispered and I twisted my mouth with the name.
“What does she have to do with all of this?”
“Liar!”
“What?!”
“You know her don’t you?!”
“I don’t!!” I retorted.
“You do!! She told me! You and her are childhood friends huh?! And I saw her picture on your locker too!!”
“What? No!!! We’re not childhood friends!” I shook my head. “I didn’t know her until the first day of club and I— and what picture?! I don’t keep a picture of her! I don’t even know why it’s inside my locker in t—“
“Liar!!”
“I’m not lying! I’m telling you the truth that—“
“Childhood friends huh,” She sent a mocking smile at me. “Really, that’s nice. Taking me like a fool when you’re only waiting for her. Using me just so you could do something in your spare time huh,”
“Fany...” I tried to touch her again for the second time but she slapped my hand away. “You believe her?!” I groaned.
“Why won’t I believe her? The way she looks at you?! The way you talk to her last Saturday like you’re really, really cool with it huh?! The way it feels like everytime she passes by the class room, your eyes meet?! And when I called your mum, she told me that she does know a ‘Nana’ too!!! Liar!!!”
“Fany! I told you I don’t like her and what?! Our eyes meet?! You know she just fancies me and I don’t!! What— and mum?! What??? Are you sure??“
“Shut up Jess, will you?! Shut up! Please?” She brought both of my arms down as I try to embrace her and explain to her that I really don’t know anything and that I’m really, really telling the truth to her.
“I told you already that I don’t know her until the first day of club!!! Why won’t you believe me?!”
“How can I even know if you’re telling the truth????? I have proofs!!!”
“Fuck! I’m telling the truth!! Just believe that!!!” I ran a hand on my dishevelled hair in annoyance. “God Fany—“
“’Fuck’ huh, you say?” She smirked. “Well, fuck you too!”
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to—“
“Fuck this relationship!!! Don’t hold me! I don’t want to see your face again...” She struggled to let go of my grip and with all the strength I have, I embraced her real hard and she calmed down a bit, her tears flowing down the front of my uniform and she was gripping hard at my scarf, tugging and pulling out of mixed feelings that I couldn’t comprehend.
“Sshh,” I closed my eyes. “Don’t believe her, don’t believe all those bullshits, she’s not telling—“
“Let’s take a break,” I looked down at her and met her eyes which were glancing up at me, the tears still streaming down her cheeks.
“Tiffany, you can’t do this to m—“
“Let’s take a break,” She repeated and untangled her body from me.
“Tiffany, I—“ I tried to reach out but she shook her head and smiled infectiously at me.
“I think both of us need time you know...” She heaved. “Find yourself first...”
WHAT?! I can’t—What should I find?! Oh god, this Nana will really get something from me.
“Tiffany!”
“Tis for our own good,”
She ran towards the door down the rooftop, gone and all that greeted my face was the stinging breeze as I controlled myself to cry.
I have to fix this myself then.

“Eh? Did I buy a ‘hating potion’?” Mum stared at me. “Did I accidentally put it on your water bottle?”
“God mum, what are you thinking telling her that you know some ‘Nana’?” I covered my face with my palms, ignoring her ‘potion talk’.
“Nana? Nana who?”
“Fany called you and you confirmed that I know some Nana when I really don’t!!”
“Ehhh?” Mum’s eyes widened. “Nana? I thought she was asking me if you know ‘Yoona’!!”
“Mum!!” I groaned in protest.
“That’s why I was a bit reluctant to answer her question, I thought she forgot Yoona or something!”
“She told me that we should take a break...”
“Eh?”
“Oh wait!” Mum hurriedly went into the upper cabinet of the kitchen and put out all her tea leaves which were placed on jars, each with written names on a masking tape.
“What’s that?!”
“You need some potion,” She tapped her chin and mindlessly peered to each jar.
“Mum, I don’t need that.” I scowled and she peaked at me.
She raised a brow and I nodded in return. After some staring, she went to me and rubbed my back. “If you don’t get Tiffany back before Christmas, you’ll gonna make her drink this potion.”
“Are you challenging me?”
“The situation is just plain confusing and just a misunderstanding,” Mum wiped her hands with the kitchen towel. “Get her back before Christmas.”
“I should... “ I glanced at the calendar and felt depressed all of a sudden. I got two freaking weeks.
Mum patted me and comforted me. “Get her back or I’ll make you infertile,”
I felt a rush of sweat and chill on my back with that.
**
It has been three days and Tiffany was secured and protected by Taeyeon and the others. Though Taeyeon talks to me on some days, she still said that I should have my own proof to counter what Tiffany discovered. She believed me though but still tells me that it’s impossible persuade Tiffany just by themselves. Well, I could make mum talk to her but with all the barricades, chances are getting slimmer and slimmer day by day.
We still sat together on some subjects yet she wouldn’t talk to me nor even look at me.
Next thing I know, I was back to my old cold, sleep-dependent, introverted self.
.
.
.
“Why won’t you look at me...” I whispered while spacing out on a Friday afternoon. At the corner of my eye, I could feel Tiffany stole a glance at me and I moved my neck to look at her.
“Do you want a relationship full of lies?” She shot back and I looked down, my fingers gripping on the arm chair.
“I told you I never did—“
“Prove it,”
Jessica, you won’t cry, you won’t cry, you won’t cry.
**
“Who’s gonna be your date on our Christmas party?”
“Are you being sarcastic Yuri,” I clicked my tongue.
“I’m being serious, are you taking that Nana out on a date?”
“I’m not! Do you believe Fany too?!”
“You’re not doing any effort,” She crossed her arms.
“I am doing an effort!” I pulled my hair. “I can’t find Nana and break her ugly face!! Why don’t you guys help me!”
“Keep calm, keep calm! Gosh!” She chuckled. “We can’t and you know that, Tiffany would think we’re tolerating your affair with the blondie. All we could give is moral support and I hope you find her though,” Tapping me on the shoulder, Yoona emerged at the door of the rooftop.
“Tiffany’s quiet these days...” Yoona mindlessly said to me, hugging Yuri at her side then pecking her on the cheek.
“God, stop showing affection in front of me.” I kicked my feet then stood up, dusting my skirt. “I’m skipping classes,”
“No you’re not,”
“But she’s my seatmate next class.” I reached for the doorknob and looked at them one last time.
“Sica,” Yuri and Yoona looked back at me. “It’s gonna be okay.”
“Well, thank you. I hope.”
**
It has been a week.
I kept on finding the Nana girl around the campus but I just can’t seem to find her to blame her and to vindicate my name with all the stories she made up. What shall I do –
I opened my eyelids slowly and noticed that the afternoon sun had already taken place outside. I stretched lousily on my seat and realized that I was the only one left inside the classroom. Standing up, I went out of the room and got a little flustered to see Nana standing there with another girl—her other arm hooked around the brunette’s and she just passed an eye on me.
I walked towards them with a frown and cleared my throat.
“We need to talk Nana,” I said, breaking the thin silence, the brunette beside Nana eyed me.
“Who are you?” I halted and held Nana’s innocent gaze on me.
“What are you trying to play?!” My blood boiled and I hastened my pace, instantly gripping her wrist.
“Don’t touch her!” The brunette glared at me after removing her hand away and I glared back.
“What did you say to Tiffany?! Story-maker!!” I got the chance to tug her collar towards me and she pushed me away. “Stop inventing goddamn stori—“
“Please stop,” The brunette covered Nana. “I’m sorry. I apologize for whatever she has done for you. Please stop hurting her.” The brunette came between us and bowed 90 degrees and I took steps back. “She doesn’t know what she’s doing. I’m sorry, please accept my apology.”
I furrowed my eyebrows and stared at the both of them. The brunette finally raised her head and sighed after awhile before talking to me.
“What do you mean she doesn’t know what she’s doing?”
“Where are we?” Nana asked all of a sudden and I was a bit dumb-founded.
“What’s wrong with her?”
“She has Alzheimer’s disease,” The brunette looked at me intently. “She doesn’t know what she’s doing and she forgets things and when she remembers a piece of her memory, she mistakes other people to be a part of it. I’m really sorry.”
“What should I—she even placed her picture inside my locker...” I calmed down a bit, Nana looking from left to right then back at me.
“You’re a ‘Jung’ right?”
“Yes I am, what’s with that?”
“Her ex was a ‘Jung’.” The brunette bit her lip for the second time then patted Nana on the shoulder.
“I’m sorry to hear that but—“
“I’m Lizzy by the way,” We shook hands and placed a protective arm on Nana’s shoulder. “I’m sorry for all the troubles,” Then this Lizzy bit her lip. “Please understand,”
I scratched my head and scrunched my nose, feeling my anger subside. After a while I let myself exhale loudly and looked back at the two of them.
“Lizzy?”
“Yes?”
“Let’s go home, who is she?”
“Just a schoolmate,” Lizzy patted Nana on the back.
“Does she really dun remember me?” I interjected.
“Don’t know, it just come and goes...”
“And she’s still a member of the soccer club..?”
“It has gotten worse this week, her sickness...” Nana started walking away from her. “Her parents are thinking of withdrawing her out of school now...”
“My head hurts,” The blonde said mindlessly.
“Nana, don’t go far, we’ll go home already,”
“Don’t touch me!!” Nana suddenly ran away from her and I stood there watching, feeling sorry for them.
Lizzy sighed and got back to me. “Here,” She gave me a piece of card where her number was indicated. “Give me a call and I’ll accompany you when you talk to your girlfriend.”
“Thanks,” I bit the inside of my cheek. “I’m sorry... about... Nana...”
“It’s fine,” She said before running after the blond.
**
We watched as Nana and Lizzy walked away from us—their hands entwined as the chilly air started to caress our faces.
I blew out air from my mouth, my fringe flying a little bit away from my eyes. Fixing my scarf, I moved my body around and faced Tiffany then looked down her hand. Reluctantly, I reached for her hand and slowly held it. She looked at our hands and smiled.
“So...”
“So...”
We both started and we giggled at that.
“I’m sorry for not trusting you enough...” She raised her head and caught my eyes. “For not believing enough... for not—“
I shook my head slowly and painted a smile on my lips. “Everything’s okay. It’s hard living without you for about two weeks...” I chuckled. “And...” I continued, playing with her fingers which were covered by pink mittens. “About the class’s Christmas party...”
“Are you asking me out on a date?” She raised a brow and I faked a frown with her playful face.
“Yes I am plus you’re my dance at the party, is that fine?”
“Too many demands and oh, we’re dancing in coats just so you know,”
“Uh huh I know,”
“Then...?”
“Say yes?”
“Yes,” Her eyes smiled at me then she wrapped her arms around me. Sweetly, she tapped my nose amusedly. “Snowflakes,” She mumbled which made both of us looked up the sky, bits of snowflakes started to fall from it.
“First snow,” We both gasped, our faces in bliss as our boots made footprints on the first afternoon of snow.
13 First Christmas
I rubbed my hands together and stomped my feet nervously. My rubber shoes making prints on the white, fluffy snow and before I could catch up, my bicycle fell off the ground and I pulled it up. Sighing and waiting, I put both of my hands inside the pockets of my furry coat before humming a song softly to myself. I gently blew the cold air out my mouth as I saw gorgeous Tiffany walking towards me.
“You’re late!” I greeted before pulling her towards me, placing a chaste kiss on her fringe. “And yet this is our third date already!” My lips were drawn to form a grin.
“I care to teach you some lesson with being late missy. Now you understand,” Her eyes blankly stared back at me. “And you still have the courage to nag me huh,” She pushed me away lightly and raised an eyebrow, shallowly intimidating me while a playful smirk rested upon her mouth.
“I’m sorry...” I pouted with my bottom lip being so obvious and she laughed it off, taking my hand in between hers.
“I forgive you, Jessi.” Rolling her eyes, she stared at my bicycle. “Let’s go, the others must be waiting.” She smiled, her eyes disappearing and I instantly felt my heart sing la da du-dum in bliss.
“Yes your majesty,”
*
“I feel cold Jess!” She yelled and I could imagine her scrunching her nose as we travel along the snowy road, her grip on my waist tightens as time ticked by.
“Embrace me tighter!”
“WHAT?!” And yet I could clearly imagine her, as I stare at the road in front of us, scrunching her now-red-nose harder.
“EMBRACE ME TIGHTER!!!” I chuckled and she rested her face on my back. “Wo-woah Fany!!!” I panicked after she pinched the side of my waist and she was laughing so happily seeing me sway the bicycle to the right. Thank god I had control or we could have fallen down the pile of snow. “Silly! We could have been snowmen now!” I coughed, turning the bicycle to the corner after it was stabled.
She was still laughing and my smile turned wider, her lovely voice dancing on my ears. And If I could, I would definitely put it on infinite replay on my mp3 player because everytime, it just makes my day. It still surprise me how she could make me feel this time day by day, like I was an elementary kid struggling over her first puppy love.
I tugged my lips to a close smile then at that same time, I felt her embrace me fully, tightly as if to never let go of me.
*
When we reached the place, it was already packed. Some of our classmates were eating and playing games already. Walking along the side, we saw Taeyeon with binoculars on her eyes and her lips smiling like a dirty old man’s.
“What is she doing..?”
“I dunno,” Tiffany shrugged, her eyes wandering around the place “Let’s ask Tae where the others are.”
We approached the midget and her eyes seemed to be pasted on her binoculars. Tiffany was calling her for about five times now but she didn’t even avert her eyes away from the object. Pissed off, I forcefully pulled the binoculars away from her eyes and she instantly glared at me.
“Give that back to me! That’s my fantasy!!”
“No!!” I raised the binoculars so that she wouldn’t reach it. “You should learn how to answer when someone’s asking you a question midget!”
“What midget!! You—“ She slapped me on the head and Tiffany came in between us.
“Oh guys, please stop!!” My girlfriend interfered. “Tae!!”
“Oh! Sica! Fany!!” Taeyeon’s Hulk-like-face awhile ago changed into a surprised, innocent child. After awhile, she rubbed her eyes as if mistaken. “Sica! Fany!”
“And she didn’t notice us.” I mumbled.
“What is it Sica??”
“Nothing,”
“And ah, Yuri and Yoona are already dancing on the dance floor,” Taeyeon pointed out and I tried looking for them using the
binoculars and I notic— “Hyoyeon and Sooyoung are tasting the food. And I’m still looking for Sunny but having this binoculars—“ She tried to hogged back the object but my eyes went wider.
What is this—
“Sica! GIVE THAT BACK TO ME!!” She was jumping already.
“What is this!!!” My mouth formed an ‘o’ before turning into a devious grin. “Wow! Hoo, hooo, wow!”
“Jessi! What is that!?”
“No you can’t!!” I tried to keep the binoculars away from Fany’s reach but I failed.
“What is this!!!” Tiffany immediately threw the binoculars, breaking it into two before glaring at me.
“I never did anything. Excuse me!” Taeyeon walked between us and immediately disappeared. “SUNNY!!!”
“Midge—!” I craned my neck to the left a little and smiled awkwardly at Tiffany.
“And I see the lenses of the binoculars are covered with pictures of butts and cleavages??????” She started to interrogate, one of her feet she tapped.
“Well... yes,” I looked away embarrassedly.
“And you,” She poked me on my chest. “You undoubtedly enjoyed more of those than you enjoyed mine.” Her face got distorted as her eyes were like ready to kill me.
“I-I didn’t of course!!” I waved my hand to tell her she’s mistaken.
“And that devious grin on your lips!!” She pulled me by the ear and we walked towards the table of Hyoyeon and Sooyoung.
“Aww- Aww ouch! I’ll never d-do it again Tiffany! I PROMISE! I’ll only see y-yours!! Ahhh~”
*
“Dudch, aryu olrachty pssssssft?”
I rubbed my earlobes and stared at Sooyoung who was savaging the ramyun like she hadn’t eaten in a month.
“WHAT?!”
She hurriedly gulped the ramyun whole then stared at me intently. “I mean, are you all right dude?”
“Yea! I was just kidding you know!” I leaned towards her on the table, Tiffany was dancing with Yuri and Yoona. “Then she pulled my ear! I’m not really a pervert! Not really!!” I shook my head repeatedly.
“Hyoyeon is like that too!” Sooyoung pointed at her girlfriend who was carrying a tray with plates of food for her, waving at us when she caught us looking at her.
“There was one time when I was watching them corn on my laptop and the next day I found out she reformatted my files!”
“Woah! That’s too much! It takes too much time to download corns you know!” I shook my head relentlessly then tapped the tall girl on
the shoulder. “They should really realize that it’s fine to see and taste a bit of others you know!”
“Yes! Definitely!!” Sooyoung looked so troubled, her poor laptop. “It’s just like food isn’t it! If you taste just one kind of food over and over again, you’ll grow tired of it!”
“I totally agree!” I nodded in affirmation “Oh, your words of wisdom Sooyoung!!” We high-fived then talked more about corn, we continued to eat happily. We just stopped as soon as our girlfriends made their way back to the table.
*
“C’mon, let’s go Fany,” I saw Tiffany glanced one last time at the crowd of people behind us until we walked up the rooftop of the building, laughing together stupidly over escaping from the party downstairs. I slowly stretched my arms before we situated ourselves near the railings, the night was giving off a nice vibe and the chill of it made Tiffany hugged her coat closer to her body, smiling while staring beyond the city lights.
“Is it right to leave them down there?”
“They’ll be okay.” I assured her before letting my lips form a smile. “They’re busy being drunk in love,” She let out a chuckle and an easy silence enveloped us for awhile.
“Only a year left in high school huh,” She started, sighing in the process, eyes wandering on the horizon. “Time sure is fast.” Then she breathed out cold air, making me squeeze the small of her hand. “I’m afraid of so many things, childish things, yet... I’ve come to cherish those things at the same time too.” She looked back at me. “It wouldn’t hurt to be reckless sometimes, right?”
I nodded then traced her cheeks by my hand, her eyes closing in the process while still smiling. “It’s funny how everything had come to place in spite of that.” She opened her eyes when we heard the shouts of the people downstairs.
“Merry Christmas Jessi,” She smiled, as we heard the people counting and shouting down to Christmas eve.
“Merry Christmas Fany,” I fixed her pink scarf and she puffed her cheeks then I leaned, our lips brushing slightly with each other.
“And our Christmas wish would be..?” She spoke and I retreat my lips a bit.
“Only one Christmas wish for the two of us?” I raised a brow and she uttered a sweet ‘hmmm’. “I wish that...” I glanced at her lips then back her eyes. “I wish that we would still be together after a hundred Christmases,” I grinned and she laughed a bit before I decided to completely kiss her, passionately. One of my arms pulled her closer while I smiled through our kiss while her teeth grazed at my bottom lip.
“WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“We have underage people here!” Yuri shouted, making Yoona laughed, while tapping both Sunny and Taeyeon on their shoulders.
We pulled back and I rolled my eyes, seeing Taeyeon—who was seeing through her now-two-piece binoculars— at the front door with the other five, Sooyoung and Hyoyeon laughing while Yuri and Yoona pushed Sunny and Taeyeon at the middle of the rooftop.
“Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” The four teased, Taeyeon looking shyly down the pavement while Sunny pouted.
“I’m still underage!” Sunny complained and all of us laughed, Taeyeon awkwardly reached for Sunny’s hand which took the shorter girl aback.
“What? So I couldn’t kiss Jessi too ‘coz I’m also underage?” Tiffany confusedly stared around us and Hyoyeon slapped her on the back of her head. “Eh?” She tilted her head and furrowed her eyebrows.
“You’re still dense as ever!!”
“I’m not!!! I’m just joking!!” My girlfriend defended and I ruffled her hair and she stared at me, asking for help.
“Jessi..?”
“Well, you could still be... dense at times,” I grinned and she slapped me on the arm. “Oww,”
“STUNNING, MARVELOUS AND SEXY TIFFANY-UNNIEEEEE!!!!” Seohyun burst the door open and Jessica pulled her rather roughly next to us.
“You’re never too late huh, seriously. You only popped out on silly occasions!” Yuri stated and we all laugh.
“I’m sorry unnies!!”
“OH LOOK EVERYONE!!!!” Sooyoung suddenly exclaimed, crying, and pulling Hyoyeon close and uttering a soft ‘I still dun want to graduate this year’.
All of us turned around and saw the beautiful fireworks dancing up the sky, Yuri and Yoona hugging each other and Tiffany rested her head on my shoulder. The colours of the fireworks made our eyes glisten and the smell of smoke filled our lungs and we all uttered a ‘woah’ at the end of every blast, our youth and love growing at its best together with brighter and new days awaiting us.
And for another second, I wished once more: I wish that we would still be together after a hundred Christmases.
Epilogue
I wiped my hands on the rug, stood up and left my workplace after I heard the car screeched in front of our house. I fixed my bandana when I passed by the mirror and opened the door gently.
“Jessi,” I greeted with a smile and she was carrying plastics from the supermarket.
“Dinner,” She raised one of the plastics then walked gorgeously towards me.
“Welcome home,” I placed a kiss on her lips and she smiled, putting her arms on my shoulder and guiding both of us inside our house.
“You’re early from work,”
“Of course, I’m the boss.”
“Don’t tell me—“
“Yes, I asked Yoona and Yuri to do the rest.” She laughed in victory and I pinched her. “Aww, Fany. I told them that I’ll treat them to Starbucks so it’s quits!!”
“Okay, fine.” I rolled my eyes. “But you always treat them to Starbucks and Yoona said her stomach is aching already and her breath’s already smells like coffee.”
“She should just brush her teeth thoroughly,” Jessica smiled playfully. “How’s your project going? The one you’ll put on your gallery next month?” She turned to look at me after placing some of the canned goods on the cabinet.
“It’s a little bit finished but –It’s a secret,” I grinned and she looked at me, baffled.
“I can’t see? Why??” She whined. “You told me you’ll let me see,”
“Ah huh, persuade me why you should see it then?” I challenged her and she tapped her chin. “Besides, you’ve already see the others.”
“Because I’m your lover..?” She flicked me on the forehead and I rubbed it.
“Hey, that hurts!”
“I’m gonna look at it, bye,” She opened the door to my studio and I failed to pull her out.
“Jessi, you can’t! It’s ugly!” But she already removed the white cloth from my sculpture and I covered my eyes nervously.
I peeked and I saw her staring on the sculpture, it obviously looked like she was staring back at her own self.
She turned her head to look at me and she smiled that warm smile which makes my heart run wild, I smiled back shyly just like the first time at the classroom way back high school while I muster the courage to ask her name.
“Thank you,” She embraced me.
“Jess, I’m still dirty...” I softly mumbled but I felt her shook her head the kissed me at the side of my neck.
“It’s fine...” She pulled away and I stared at her. “I never intended this to be earlier... and... I was... well, you actually ruined my plans but... you know... it’s now or never...” Her eyes looked deep through mine and she slowly kneeled. “Will you marry me..?” She got out this small box and flashed at me this silver, diamond-designed ring.
I felt warm, hot tears at the back of my eyes and I smiled. “F-Finally...” I chuckled while I wiped my eyes. “Stupid Jessi, I’ve been waiting for a year now. Stupid, stupid!” I boxed her on the shoulders and she grinned back at me. “Slow Jessi!! You make me cry!” I pushed her away and she pouted at me.
“Fany-ah...” She looked like she was pleading by the look of her eyes.
“Of course I’ll marry you silly! I’ve always wanted to!” I embraced her tightly and that same night we invited everyone to celebrate with us.
*
“FOOD! FOOD! THISH, THISH AND THISH!” We watched as Sooyoung and Hyoyeon with Yoona carried plates of food from the table.
“What dish???” Yoona asked.
“THIS!!” Sooyoung rolled her eyes like Yoona hadn’t reviewed her English grammar well.
“I think that’s their third plate already,” Taeyeon said while munching on her popsicle in the middle of the night, Sunny sleeping already on her lap. “Anyway where are we again?”
“Well you’re in JeTi’s house,” Sunny said with eyes closed and Taeyeon ignored her.
“I’m happy for the two of you, finally...” Yuri smiled at us warmly and I laughed, ignoring Taeyeon who was making slurpy sounds while licking her popsicle. “And Jessica, oh you.”
“You know I’m bad with these things,” Jessica chuckled.
“I always thought the two of you would be the first one to get married but Yuri and Yoona beat you at that.” Yoona smiled affectionately at us. “When Sica called, Yuri and I were jumping while yelling ‘at last’, ‘at last’.”
“Where’s your plate Yoona?”
“Oh, that’s Hyoyeon and Sooyoung’s plate,” Yoona rolled her eyes before sitting beside Yoona.
“And the proposal came out as unexpected. Can you believe it, she blurted ‘will you marry me’ by just seeing the sculpture of her own face inside Tiffany’s studio!”
All of us laughed and I saw Jessica’s face turn red.
“It’s really unexpected...” I reminisced. “But I like it, finally... you know?”
“Yep, but Jessica could have proposed in a more decent place at a not-awkward time?” Yuri laughed and patted Jessica to console her. “It’s fine Sica, she’s still gonna be your wife in whichever way.”
“I know my proposal can’t be compared to yours. Diving underwater with fishes and corals and probably mermaids under the sea.” Jessica rolled her eyes and we laughed again.
“Anyway, whiskey!!” Taeyeon beamed and woke Sunny up who groggily smiled at us (she slept because she already took 2 bottles of whiskey).
“To Jessica and Tiffany’s marriage!”
“Wait for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Sooyoung and Hyoyeon sat on the laps of the shorties and we laughed again.
“Poor elves!!!”
“We’re not elves! We’re sowons!” (a/n; this is just for laughs okay!! No pun intended LOL)
“Okay, okay!”
“To Jessica and Tiffany’s fruitful—“
“Unendinggggg~” Sunny beamed.
“Lovely—“ Yuri interjected and winked at us.
“Happy!!” Yoona said next.
“Sweet???”
We stared at Sooyoung and she wiggled her eyebrows. “and Spice-ful..?”
“Marria—“
“STUNNING, MARVELOUS AND SEXY UNNIEEEEES!!!!” Seohyun burst the door open and panted in front of us, carrying a large gift.
“I’m sorry I came late! I was studying for our exams tomorrow and I slept first coz cells of my skin should grow! Oh no! You’re going to die drinking that!!” She pointed at the whiskey and dropped the gift, pulling the whiskey away from us but spilling it in the process.
“Wow, she’s never too late, really.” Sooyoung mumbled.
“SEOHYUN! MY EYES!!!!!” Taeyeon whined.
“Gosh, the party just started.” I muttered and Jessica laughed at me before pushing the girls down the sofa, making them bathe with the whiskey.
“Children! Stop!!” All of us glanced at the door and saw our mothers—Jessica’s and my.
“I’m so happy for the two of you!!!!!!!!!” Jessica’s mum ran towards us and embraced the two of us tightly, my mum going to the kitchen to ready the food she brought.
“C-Can’t breathe mum!” Jessica said and her mum pulled away.
“Oh,” Her mum scrunched her nose. “Whiskey???”
All of us nodded and Taeyeon licked her chin to clean the whiskey absentmindedly.
“Oh god! You kids! You should just try this!!” Her mum got something from her bag and we stared in expectantly, maybe it’s a 30 year old wine or something.
“So.... kids...” Jessica’s mum grinned at us. “Do you want me to prepare tea?????”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!” We all went out the door.
**
“No...” She groaned lazily. “Let’s just stay here wifey...” Like a snake, she entwined her legs on mine.
“But... we need to attend Taeyeon and Sunny’s wedding!! Out, out, I need to get ready.”
She raised her head and peeked at me. After a second she roared softly and pinned me down the bed. “You can’t coz I won’t. We should be late.”
“Jessi! S-Stop!” I laughed when I felt her tickle me.
“Let’s sleep for another hour~” She chimed and collapsed on top of me, her ear on my chest.
“Jessica Jung Sooyeon!” I pulled her hair but she tickled me back, making me weak.
“Your heart’s beating so fast, I wonder why...” She touched the side of my waist and I yelped a bit.
“SOOYEON!!!” I swatted her hand away and she smirked.
“Tiffany Hwang Miyoung...” She uttered rather seductively back then pecked me multiple of times on my lips.
“Jess... it’s too early...” I surprisingly moaned then I slapped her to control the feelings overcoming my body. “Wait until later you
thirsty vampire!!!”
“Eww, ain’t no vampire!!” She crawled on fours then frowned at me. “And besides...” She finally sat. “We can’t do that on the hotel room! Their guests might hear!” She rolled her eyes, as if it was the obvious thing to realize.
“Then it’s decided, we won’t do that today.” I stuck my tongue out and get out of bed, hearing her groaned again then falling back on the mattress.
“But Tiffany—“
“Shut up Jess,” I yelled from the bathroom. “We just did it last night for Pete’s sake!”
“What Pete’s sex???” I accidentally spit the water from the glass and I rested my eyes on the mirror, Jessica’s eyes staring back at me with a devious smile. Oh, oh.
She embraced me from the back and nibbled my ears softly. “Here’s the catch...” She whispered. “I think I don’t like us to be late at the reception either.”
“Really??” I finally smiled.
“Let’s just take a bath together.” She smirked then carried me on bridal style without even telling me.
“Jess! Bring me down!”
“See honey, this is a genius idea.” She wined at me before kissing me again, putting the two of us on the half-filled bathtub.
“IT’S SEXY TIME!!!!!!!!” Jessica’s voice echoed through the bathroom before she pounced on me. “HAH! RUBBER DUCKIEEEEEE!!!”
“JESSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!”
