Ashes: ehh I'll be fine, it can't get worse then it already is, plus it's kinda boring being inside alone
Wind Archer: alright... Don't expect me to take the blame if you get attacked again

Wind Archer: that or you are the danger
Ashes: relax I'll stay out of the way while you shoot the monsters like usual
Wind Archer: fine, don't say I didn't warn you about this
Ashes: speaking of, you have been staying here for years now, shouldn't you have finish these things off ages ago? Why the heck are there still corrupted monsters running around anyway?
Wind Archer: I'm not sure, I have been trying to locate the source of the corruption ever sience I got here but no matter where I look there was nothing... The monsters just appear in random locations tho there Is no residents who lives in this forest, there is a small village not too far from it so I can't have any chances of the monsters harming the village
Ashes: so do you think a cookie could be involved in this mess?
Wind Archer: a cookie?
Ashes: yeah you know like what if someone was running around this forest corrupting the animals and you just never knew it, like how Dark enchantress does things
Wind Archer: that is a possibility but in this land no cookie has any magical abilities of their own, they merely live their everyday life without any use of magic... Not even ones to assist their everyday life... So it's unlikely someone from that village
Ashes: ah whatever maybe the animals just found a bad fruit and got corrupted eating it or something
Wind Archer: that's not how rotten fruits works... Anyways the sun should be rising soon, once it does I'll try to help you recover your strength and you'll fly back to the dragon's valley
Ashes: wiat what?!
Wind Archer: is there a problem?
Ashes: Windy I just got here last night! And flying all the way from the Maze grove to over here took me 3 months!! Plus it was freaking cold flying all the way from their to over here! Can't I just stay here instead?
Wind Archer: no you still have your duties in the dragon's valley and a guardian, you shouldn't have left just to come here
Ashes: I left because I couldn't do anything in this state! And hello? Your a guardian too! A elemental guardian just like me?? But your way out here shooting corrupted animals! I don't see the maze grove going crazy over your absence!
Wind Archer: that's because the forest still have the other guardians like Millennial tree cookie, he is more then capable to protect himself like you and i, and the forest has the other protectors as well that's why I left it in their hands, and you you seriously expect the dragon's to do all your work? Last I checked you and Pitaya dragon cookie haven't spoken to each other for years
Ashes: ok you got me there- but come on its not like the world is gonna collapsed if we went away for a little!
Wind Archer: last time you left the dragon's valley for a "vacation" the volcano erupted and Moonlight dragged you back just to turn it off
Ashes: pssssh! That was a coincidence
Wind Archer: when you left to creators knows where- the the template of the valley went down and all the dragon's went lose and almost burn down a village and the forest?
Ashes: ok In my defense I didn't think that was even possible ok? But relax I made sure that won't happened again before i left! Promise!
Wind Archer: somehow now I'm concern about what's going on in the dragon's valley...

Meanwhile:

Pitaya Dragon: where the hell is that stupid fool?! How could he have let this happened?!
Hollyberry: could you focus?! It's going to burn us all!!
Royal Margarine: ahhhhh!! I wasn't prepared for this!! Better cream hold me!!
Tarte tan: hold the line!! We can still defeat it!!
SnapDragon: bwahwa!!

Ashes: you worry too much you know that?
Wind Archer: when it involves the safety of others can I help it?
Ashes: heh funny how your face makes you cold stoic but you're really just a big old softy? I just love that part it's funny
Wind Archer: oh right and it's sooo funny how you're a prideful and obnoxious guardian but you still take care of some cookies
Ashes: wiat what-
Wind Archer: Moonlight and I sometimes chat when she has the time, Sea Fearie accompanies her alot too and it's not like Frost Queen doesn't know
Ashes: I was just doing it as a favour for her! Now she owes me a life time of gasoline and coal
Wind Archer: you are never going to change are you?
Ashes: I could say the same to you!

The two of them continue walking around the forest making sure there were no corrupted monsters running around

Ashes: ... Hey... So do you think you'll ever be able to come back?
Wind Archer: hmm?
Ashes: I mean you've been here for a while... And with these things continuously coming back all the time not knowing the source... You're kinda stuck here aren't ya? Unless you found the source of all this... Do you think you'll ever be able to come back to the maze grove?
Wind Archer: *sigh* I... Don't know, I was hoping that this was just a small problem that I could finish easily, but it has taken me way longer then expected... But I cannot leave this forest until I have purified all the corruption... I guess unless Millennial tree cookie needs me back in the maze grove I can prioritise his wishes but I know he doesn't really needs me in the first place... I was merely there to protect him and the forest, but he never needs to be protected and the forest has the others to protect them so I have little use there
Ashes: hey now you're talking stupid! Without you back in the maze grove dark enchantress minions could have corrupted Millennial tree and hurt the others! Plus Sugar swan needed you to protect them and be the wind Guardian didn't she? She gave you the power to purified corruption and fallen spirits! That's the whole reason your here in the first place!
Wind Archer: perhaps, I'm not sure... It has been a long time sience I have seen her... In any other case there's no point for me to wonder... If I really can't return to the maze grove then Sugar Swan and Millennial tree will simply have to make another "me"
Ashes: hey I thought we talk about this, there will be no other "you" there is only 1 you and I will snot stand for any other 1!
Wind Archer: that would be a valid argument if you weren't flying all the time
Ashes: hey I said leave all the jokes to me!

Wind Archer cookie let out a small laugh as Ashe was being angry at him but couldn't do anything about it, they both stopped when they heard something coming from the bushes, Wind Archer cookie prepares his bow and try to aim it at wherever the noise was coming from, Ashe was flying above him and looking around for the source of the sound, out of nowhere some animals that has been corrupted jumps out and launched themselves at the 2, Ashe barely manage to knock them away with his staff meanwhile Wind Archer skillfully shoots them all with his arrows purifying them back to their original state

Ashes: woah... You got better at shooting...
Wind Archer: I practice in my alone time...

Just when they thought it was over a loud sound occurred as the 2 felt the ground shaking, they both looked at a tree Infront of them as there was a red light coming from it, dark veins grow out from the light and it grew bigger and bigger until it turned into a black portal

Ashes: what the hell is that?!
Wind Archer: this energy...! It's the source of the corruption! 
Ashes: do something! It's trying to suck us both in!
