tell me that you love me

she used to tell me she loved me everyday. she used to smile when i did and said i was the sweetest thing she's ever saw (and tasted)

we met through an old friend of mine, lizzy, and we took off a month later when i admitted i liked her. she said back that she didn't liked me, but rather she adored me.

she was vibrant, full of life, a lover i could never escape or let go of. the colorful rainbow to my rainy skies. she hugged me, kissed me, and i used to swing her around and hold her close to my chest. she called me her knight in shining armor. i called her my princess

i remember not only loving her, but loving myself too. she made me happy! the happiest man on earth!

i remember when we decided to get our own place, i remember painting the walls with her and painting ourselves in the process, i remember her humor and helping her carry her boxes full of knick-knacks. if only i knew they would all be broken in the course of six months.

the first night we slept together in the apartment, she said she wanted to spend the rest of her life with me and could never think of loving someone else. i remember crying out of joy and spooning her in my arms and never wanting the sun to rise.

she used to truly love me, she used to truly want me in her life. she says it sometimes, after her drunken bursts, and no matter how much i shouldn't believe it, i do.

i don't want her to let go of me.
