They must also ensure that once they have acquired these candidates, they develop and retain them.

How, when and why do we assess people at work?

Employers see workplace assessment as an investment. Therefore it is important to understand why we assess people at work, when we need to assess people, and also how we assess people at work – in other words, the key points of the big question.

We will explore two parts of the big question, why and when we assess people at work, in Week 1. In Week 2, we will address how we assess people at work.
