Chapter 1

Yeosang calmly entered the room.

Yeosang was always calm. And not because he had any particular reason. Quite the opposite, he had a lot, too many issues to be worried and troubled about.

So he gave up, since he never remembered what he was supposed to do anyway and always did the wrong thing.

And being chill was the only way to face it without having a mental breakdown and without throwing his best friends and his damn papers and business out the window.

"Damn organization.

"Damn job.

"Damn Jung.

""Damn Wooyoung.

"One day I will blow them up, him and his idiot organization, and destroy this useless job.

"By the way, what was I..."

And then he saw him.

He was across the room, his back to him as he looked at something on the table.

And Yeosang was sure he didn't know him. He knew everyone in that organization, even that girl who didn't want to know anyone.

But he had never seen that person.

So what the hell was he doing there, in that room? And when no one but him, Wooyoung, Hongjoong, and Jongho were supposed to be in there.

As calm as he was, as Hongjoong always liked to remind him, Yeosang didn't have the best brain in town, so it took him a few moments to realize what was happening.

"This man... He shouldn't be here." he thought.

And, frightened by his own thought, he froze, standing still.

Then the man turned and looked at him.

And even Yeosang's blood froze in his veins.

And as he froze, Yeosang realized two more things. First, that the man was a boy, and second, that the boy was obviously a cold-blooded killer.

A scream caught in Yeosang's throat.

"I'm going to die.

"I'm sorry, Mom. I promised I'd come see you tomorrow.

"Please forgive me. It's not my fault." he thought, closing his eyes.

After a second, he opened them again and realized that he was still alive and that the guy was still staring at him, motionless, as if he didn't know what to do.

There was another moment of stillness.

Then Yeosang turned around too and, with his heart beating a million times a second and his legs shaking like a leaf in the wind, he ran out of the room, closing the door behind him and locking it, even though his hands were shaking as much as his legs.

To be honest, his whole body was shaking. "Why the fuck is there a murderer in the house?!" he thought as he ran down the hallway as fast as his shaking legs could carry him.

And that damn hallway seemed so damn long and Yeosang, as he ran faster by the second, thought that if he survived, he would tell Wooyoung that his damn house was too big and, even if he could afford it, it wasn't practical at all.

To be precise: it was the least practical house in the entire city.

A damn mansion with four damn floors and a gigantic damn garden.

With fifteen people living in it.

Definitely the most useless building in the entire city.

"If I survive this hallway, I'll blow it up and protest Wooyoung's idiocy.

"And maybe I'll blow him up too, for being such an idiot.

"Why the fuck is there a murderer in the mansion?! "Because that stupid girl is never there and Wooyoung doesn't have any other guards because he's too stingy, obviously.

"Why do I have such a stupid best friend?

"And why the fuck is there a murderer in the house?

"And when will this damn hallway end?! He'll catch up with me!"

Yeosang couldn't help it, but he was always thinking a lot, even when he should have had a clear mind and acted with precision, speed and rationality.

Just in those moments, to be honest.

But, since he had survived to the venerable age of twenty-two, he didn't care that much.

He was more worried about the murderer in the room.

And the person he had bumped into while running and who was now holding him by the collar of his sweater.

-Where are you running to, princess?-

Hongjoong, of course.

But Yeosang was too scared to stop and tried to wriggle away, risking strangling himself with the collar that the other boy was still holding while looking at him as if he was holding a strange and wild animal in his hand.

-Let me go! -there's a mafia in the room!

-Let me go, or he'll kill me!- he shouted, trying to escape to keep running without even knowing where.

-What the hell are you talking about?!

-Are you out of your mind?!

-And what is a mafia?- Hongjoong asked, shaking him.

-I don't know!

-I just know that there's someone dangerous in the room at the end of the hall!

-Now let me go, or he'll kill me, I'm sure of it!-

-I'm sure I'll kill you, if you don't stop screaming like a baby right now.-

Yeosang immediately froze, even though he knew that the other boy was just trying to calm him down and that he wasn't going to kill him at all.

Unless he ruined one of his dramatic entrances, of course. Hongjoong hated it when someone ruined his plans.

-And I'm also sure that that mafia, whatever a mafia cat is, will find you in about two seconds, if you don't calm down. He'll definitely be able to hear your heart from across town.- Hongjoong said, letting go of Yeosang's collar.

-But he's in the room at the end of the hall!- the other boy shouted.

Hongjoong rolled his eyes and then looked up at the ornate ceiling.

-How are you not silent anymore?

-Well, since that mafia worries you so much, let's go find him.

-And I'm sure you were hallucinating.

-You bet?- he said starting to walk towards the end of the corridor while taking out a dagger.

Firm in the point where Hongjoong left him, Yeosang's eyes widened.

-Are you crazy?!

-Come back, idiot! He'll kill you, I told you it's dangerous! - he then shouted, running after his friend and stopping him.

Hongjoong looked at him for a few moments, then shrugged.

-You're acting weird

-He's just a murderer, what's the problem?-

Yeosang shook his head.

-I don't know. It's just... that guy seemed more dangerous than a normal assassin...- he said.

The other guy snorted.

-How boring!

-Well, let's call Woo and Jongho. Four against one will be enough, I think.- he then said, turning and leaving the hallway with Yeosang following him while he was wringing his hands.

It took them at least ten minutes to find Wooyoung, who was fighting with his pants because they had lost his wallet again, and after another five minutes they found Jongho, who was eating and was definitely annoyed by their interruption.

-This city is full of assassins, and if I had to chase after them like a girl with her crush I would never be able to eat in peace.- he muttered, kicking the air as he followed the other three boys.

-When they reached the door, they stopped, looking at each other.

-You're the boss. Then open the door! - Yeosang then said, pudhing Wooyoung.

He gave him a dirty look.

- I'm glad I'm your best friend.-

- Me too. You're the best, you know.-

- Open the damn door, I'm hungry! - Jongho interrupted them.

Wooyoung took a deep breath, pulled out a knife like he always did and opened the door with a bang.

And a brown cat came running out, then ran off into the hallway making Yeosang, Jongho and Hongjoong stumble, while the three boys watched it jump out of the window and disappear into the garden.

- Yeosang? - Hongjoong then said, turning to the boy.

He swallowed.

- I... I'm sure there was a murderer... - he whispered.

- And are you sure you don't have a fever?-

...Okay, maybe this first chapter isn't that great, BUT I had to introduce Wooyoung's chaotic organization, you know.

Anyway...
