Chapter 8
Hey, Yeonjun
The boy smiled instinctively when he saw his girlfriend's name on the screen.
Hey
Tell me.
Are you sure?
Yeah.
I...
You cannot be pregnant, so tell me
I don't need to sit, you know.
Yeonjun wrote, and then stopped at the traffic light while waiting for the answer.
I break up.
Yeonjun stared at the words on the screen for a few seconds.
They didn't make any sense. No at all.
What?
Yeah
You know, I don't wanna play with your feelings.
And I don't wanna hurt you.
You know.
But I think that I like another guy.
I...
I hope that you won't be displeased.
"Oh".
Just "oh".
In Yeonjun's mind there was oly that word. Two letters.
Oh.
What the heck was happening?
And for wich fuckin' reason?
Are you kidding?
She must be kidding. She couldn't be breaking up with him. Why should her? For... Another guy? Another guy when she have chosen him by herself?
It didn't make any sense.
Not for Yeonjun's brain.
I wish I were
Why?
Are you sure that you're serious?
Are you sure that this isn't a joke?
Yes
I'm sorry...
Still stopped at the red light, Yeonjun took a deep breath.
"Okay." he thought.
"Okay.
"It's okay.
"It's none of my business anymore."
If it were up to him, he would never have broken up with her, he had no reason to do so.
But if she had found someone else, if she wanted to break up... there was nothing he could do.
So it was none of his business.
So it was okay.
Don't.
It's okay.
Thank you for loving me for as long as you did.
And then, without waiting for an answer, he turned off the phone, put it in his jeans pocket, and crossed the street the moment the light turned green."It's okay." he keeped to say to himsself while walking home.
"It's okay"
But, even if it was okay, for some reason, he wanted to cry. He just wanteed to hug someone and cry. Even if it was okay. Even if cryig for a break up was the most stupid thing he could do in his life, and even if he knew that.
The day was nice, but Yeonjun didn't notice it.
He only felt like if he had something heaavy on his head, something that was treading on him, and slowing him.
And only for a break up?
He thought about what his mother would say when she found out
"You're lucky you used condoms."
The thought made him smile for a moment, but the next moment he felt that weight again and grimaced to himself.
When he finally entered the house, he let himself fall against the closed door and tried to breathe deeply to calm himself and let that weight go away.
-Ywonjun?
-Are you okay?-
The boy immediately opened his eyes to see Soobin looking at him with a worried expression.
He must have already been there when Yeonjun entered, but the older boy was probably too confused to notice.
-Oh.
-Hey.
-Yeah, I am, don't worry.- he said, forcing a smile.
-Why are you lying?-
The question left Yeonjun shocked.
Why was he lying?
Because he felt stupid for suffering from a stupid breakup when there were so many more important things in the world, obviously.
-it's not important.- he only said.
Soobin was probably doing some housework, since he had a broom and some rags with him.
He looked at him now with a serious expression and pushed his glasses up his nose.
-Is it important to you?- he asked.
Yeonjun gasped.
-Y... Yeah. I guess it is.- he said then, in a hesitant and ow voice.
-So, since you're important to me, if this is important to you, it's important to me too.-
-Oh...
-But it's a stupid thing...- Yeonjun tried to escape, embarrassed.
-So what?
-I am too.- Soobin said, smiling,
-Ehy!- Yeonjun protested, moving away from the door. -You're not stupid!-
-Maybe not to you.
-But to someone else I am.
-It's a sbbjective matter.-
Yeonjjun grimaced.
And then he random realized a thing. And he didn't even know why he had only realized it then.
Maybe because he was stupid too.
He liked Soobin.
He liked him, his way to talk, his way to think, his way to smile, his way to laugh.
He loved him.
Why was he so blind?
-Cat stole your tongue?-
Yeonjun blinked and then realized he had been silent for too long.
-Oh...
-No, I was just... thinking, I guess.- he whispered.
-So? Wanna talk?- Soobin asked again.
Then, without waiting for an answer, he started to climb the stairs.
-Come on. I have to clean my room.- he said.
And Yeonjun found herself following him.
-Sit there and don't move, please!- the other boy said to him, pointing to the bed. -And give me your shoes. They're soaking wet, I don't want you to wet my bed with them.-
Yeonjun grumbled but gave him his shoes, and when Soobin smiled at him he felt his stommach burning.
"Aish, what's wrong with me?" he thought, even knowning that tyhere wasn't anything wrong with him.
There would have been if he didn't love Soobin, because that guy was the most special person he have ever met, and, now he realized, not falling for him was the most stupid rhing in the whole world after not using condoms.
-So?- Soobin asked then, jumping on the bed and sitting near the other guy while looking at him.
-My girlfriend broke up with me.- Yeonjun only said, feeling stuppid.
-Oh.
-Good.-
-What?!-
-I mean: you're lucky that she broke up with you now and not later.-
There was a moment of silence.
-I like your way to think.- Yeonjun said then, slowly.
Soobin smiled.
-And I like you.-
...
BOOM, VAMOS, I KNOW THAT YOU WANT IT
Anyway this is the most nonsensical, pointless, rambling and poorly written story I've ever done, I guess. I wanted to delete it, but someone didn't agree, so I did my best to make it acceptable. Just know that I shortened it from 17 chapters to eight chapters, a prologue and an epilogue :(
