Chapter 38
Chapter 38
"The thing is though...I need at least one of your parents to sign this," Dowon placed a paper in front of the two. "Can't Yoongi just sign it?" Jimin asked hopefully, but Dowon shaked his head. "He's not your legal guardian." Jimin sighed.
"I can go get it Jim-" "No, it's fine. I'll just show up and ask her to sign it...am I allowed to lie and say it's just for some school trip?" "Well I can't stop you," Dowon winked. The two said goodbye to him, before getting inside of Yoongi's car.
"I think we should get her to sign today, if you're up for it. The sooner you can go there, the better." "You know...I'm not some ticking time bomb." Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows before putting a hand on the smaller's thigh.
"I'm sorry if I make you feel like that. I know you're not. But I just want you to be okay again." Jimin sighed. He felt pressured to get better, to act okay just for him to stop worrying, but he couldn't act okay. Pressured to feel better, he continued to be though.
"Okay. Drive me to my mom's." It wasn't even his house anymore. Or his old house, or his family house. Just his mom's place now. "Want me to come with you?" Jimin shook his head before grabbing the paper that Dowon had given them.
He went out into the cold winter air that was slowly getting warmer by every day.
Jimin was in desperate need of spring.
Good thing Jimin's mother was rushing to get to work, because if she had the time, she would probably question Jimin about the back shiny car, and ask for a better explanation than a 'School trip' Jimin had folded the paper so the line where she had to sign was the only thing present for her to see.
"Let me grab something to write with." Jimin stepped inside of the house. He felt like crying. The teenager stared at the stairs, feeling a longing to go upstairs, to his bedroom where he used to sleep and just lay there with his laptop and the organic chips his mom would buy on days where he could be lazy.
He wanted to go back, but then again he didn't. Because that would mean no Yoongi. And he wanted Yoongi too. Why was it that Jimin couldn't have both? Why couldn't he have Yoongi and his family? Why were his parents doing this to him?
She came back with the paper that now was signed. "Thank you," he mumbled. "Can I go get something from my room?" Jimin asked. "Just hurry." Jimin didn't hurry though. He went upstairs and looked at his room.
Once again he just felt like crying. He clutched his old sheets in his hand like he used to when he slept in his bed, safe and soundly. He found his favorite plushie of Ryan the lion, and went downstairs again. Jimin's mother felt her heart sink a bit when she saw the boy with his plushie.
"Thank you for signing it," he mumbled before going out the door. She watched as Jimin entered the car, assuming that Yoongi was in the driver's seat. "You got her to sign?" Jimin nodded. "And you brought your plushie?" Jimin nodded again.
Yoongi smiled before pinching Jimin's cheek lightly. The next day the two were back in Dowon's office, and the tall male proceeded to sign Jimin into the clinic. To say the boy was scared was an understatement. He beyond scared. So much that he spend the night before crying and Yoongi just comforted him.
"Baby, you're going to be fine. It's a good place, you have nothing to be scare of." Jimin nodded, looking at the clean looking place. It was big, but not too big. Before Jimin could go inside, a car pulled up behind them.
"Jihyun?" Jimin raised an eyebrow. "I called your brother." Jimin ran up to Jihyun as soon as he stepped out of the car and hugged his chest. Jihyun couldn't help but smile as he wrapped his arms around Jimin as well, ruffling his hair when he let go.
Jihyun took Jimin's hand and the three finally went inside. They were met with nice looking lady who was expecting Jimin to come. "Hello, Jiminie. You can just call me Mrs. Lee. Would you like a tour before You get settled into your room?"
The three of them nodded, and she made sure to smile extra sweetly at Jimin. He was aware that she was just being nice, but he felt like a freak for the special treatment. Jimin saw the activity areas, lounge and at last, where their rooms would be.
Jimin thought that the place looked pretty nice, but he wanted to hate it. He didn't think this place was going to help him much, but he gave it a shot for Yoongi.
"Um, Mrs. Lee?" Jimin shyly asked. "Yes?" "Do we have roommates here?" She nodded.
The system took everyone who was stated to have the same issues by their therapist or doctors and paired them up as roommates. Unless the issues were critical, then they would to the opposite. Some could bond and relate to each other in a good way, others could influence and trigger each other in a bad way. That was their view on it.
Jimin entered the room that he was going to have to share with another male for at least the next two months. "Say goodbye Jimin. You should unpack your bags and come have lunch afterwards," Mrs. Lee said before leaving. Jimin hugged his brother for about two minutes until he finally decided to let go. He then hugged Yoongi for another two minutes.
The two pecked each other's lips a few times before saying goodbye. "Call me whenever you want to. I'll see you every morning before work, I promise." Jimin forced a smile before pecking Yoongi's lips again.
Jihyun pinched Jimin's cheek and the two finally left.
Jimin looked around the room. He decided to snoop around his roommates part of the room before unpacking. He liked reading, Jimin figured. Music too. He seemed to have a nice taste in music, according to Jimin that was. He sighed at his life situation before putting his two bags on his bed and unpacking. Jimin continued in silence until about ten minutes later.
"Well, you look depressing."
Jimin looked up. He was tall and pale. Had a black tattoo on his arm and piercings in his ears. He kind of reminded him of the people from Wiheom street. Reminded him of Yoongi's friends. "Hi, I'm Jae," he spoke before throwing the book he had in his hands on his bed.
"J-Jimin." "How old are you?" "Seventeen." Jae smiled before laying down on his bed. Jimin had to admit, he was pretty attractive. "Aw. Call me hyung then." Jimin nodded. "Not gonna ask my age?" "Um...how old are you?" "So clingy," Jae shook his head.
Jimin pouted before going back to unpacking. "I'm sorry. I'm twenty." Jimin nodded. "So...why are you here?" The brunette shrugged. "I think my boyfriend is scared that I'll...end myself. He just wants me to get better."
"Did something happen?" "My parents got divorced and then my mom kicked me out for having a boyfriend and being gay so...yeah," Jimin decided that since this guy was going to be his roommate, he might as well just let him know because he was gonna know sooner or later anyways.
"Why would you be depressed over that? Family's out of your life, go do whatever you want." Jimin gave a small smile. He wished he felt like that about his situation, but he really didn't. "What about you?"
"Parents died and sister...according to...other people, I've been acting weird ever since. I guess they're scared for me. Like your boyfriend with you." Jimin looked down. He felt kind of guilty for being so sad over getting rejected by his family when this guy's parents and sister were dead, but he was still here. He was able to smile even if it was a little forced.
"I'm sorry. Can I ask what happened?" Jae smiled. Jimin seemed nice. Pretty cute too. "Car crash. I was the only one who survived." "How do you feel about that?"
"Shitty. My sister was pregnant, she should've lived." Jimin's jaw dropped.
"Oh my-" "Oh don't give me that look." "But-" "I know, but pity is not helping me to move on." Jimin nodded. Jae felt compelled to keep talking. Like the silent stare Jimin was giving him told him that he was all ears. Jae would repay him that favor.
"It happened a year ago. I spent the eight months after that happened in my bed crying all day in the dark. But then my aunt kicked the door open and forced me to go outside. I tried to get better for three months, going to therapy and actually eating well, working out and stuff. Then my therapist forced me to go here," he said with a small chuckle at the end.
"Which is nice, I guess. It's not a bad place. They have good therapy sessions here. Food's alright." Jae looked at the clock.
"Speaking of, we should go grab some lunch."
