5. Hunk- A New Foodie Is On Board

I groaned as I face-planted into the floor, my rear sticking up into the air. I looked around the place I was in. Why is it blue? Where is my kitchen? My home? The palace? I let out a large wail as I panicked and ran around the room. I heard a large bang near the door. I whipped my head around to see brightly dressed humans with two Alteans. I sniffed and wiped my eyes, then bowed.

"Greetings and Salutations, odd beings and Princess Allura. May I ask who and what am I in the comfort of?" I grinned sheepishly, "I didn't mean to disturb you, however, I may have... quite the dilemma." The Altean princess smiled and waved to me.

"Thank you for being so humble and sweet, as you may know, I am Princess Allura, and these are the paladins of Voltron," she introduced, sweeping her hand to reveal the paladins, smiling. I smiled and waved at them.

"It's an honor, really," I said, grinning, "But, pardon if I come off as rude, but... who are you?" The group nodded and came up to greet me. The blue one came up first.

"Hi, I'm Lance, the pilot of the blue lion, but you can call me the man of your dreams," he said flirtatiously, bringing my hand to his mouth and lightly kissing it. I blushed and retracted my hand.

"N-Nice to meet you t-too..." I mumbled, looking away. Well, at least that's a new way to greet people. The red one stepped up next.

"I'm Keith, pilot of the red lion, nice to meet you," he said curtly, shaking my hand. I nodded back.

"As to you, human," I replied, keeping a straight face. I like this one. Forward and always ready for business. Almost like my commander, the king. He was a fair ruler, with plenty of time for his subjects. I admired him so! A small, petite, green one smiled at me.

"I'm Pidge, pilot of the green lion, great to meet you!" she said happily, and shook my hand.

"As to you as well," I smiled back. I could sense this one was as smart as Trigel herself. An important asset to the team. Second to last, a tall, muscular human wearing black armor approached me.

"I'm Shiro, head of Voltron and pilot of the black lion, it's a pleasure meeting you." I smiled and shook his hand, looking at his white tuft of hair. Mari Antoinette syndrome... That was rare, even in space. The big, yellow one was to be introduced to me last.

"I'm Hunk, the paladin of the yellow lion." I smiled happily at his gleaming demeanor. Once I knew everyone on this ship, I stepped back and snapped my fingers, changing my outfit to its usual form. A white t-shirt and black shorts, with an over-sized cargo jacket.

"I'm (Y/N), the head chef of the planet Tuliapin, at your service!" I said, bowing at a 90 degree angle. I looked at the clock.

"DEAR THE ANCIENTS it's almost time for lunch! I'll find some suitable ingredients as you wait at the table, my dear paladins!" I giggled as I ran off.

(Y/N) popped back into the room a few seconds later.

"Uhh... Where's the kitchen?"

I smiled as I whizzed the plates into the dining room.

"Here they are! My special dishes!" I said, "Try it!" It was a sauteed meat and chicken slice with garnishing and sauce drizzled on the top. Hints of spices were placed on the top and shreds of chicken and garlic were also on the top.

Everyone took a bite in unison. Their eyes widened for a second before starting to scarf the food down.

"This is so good!" Hunk said, muffled between bites of food. I smiled when they were sitting contentedly, patting their stomachs and sighing happily.

"I can see why you're head chef on your planet, (Y/N)!" Allura complimented. I giggled.

"Honestly, it was nothing, I learned all that from my mentor. She was amazing, until, that is, she sadly passed away," I smiled sadly, wincing at the thought, "But I'm here to carry on her legacy."

"I can see, you are an amazing chef, maybe even better than me," Hunk said, smiling. I raised a brow.

"Better than me? I'd like to see you try mister," I smirked, crossing my arms and tilting my head.

"Oh, you're so on!"

I brought out my desserts while Hunk got his. I smirked. I was so going to win. The rest of the crew were the judges.

"I present to you my planet's specialty," I said, revealing the desserts, "A dark chocolate mousse cake with chocolate chips on the bottom that you can eat along with the sumptuous cake, along with soft layers of sweet, crispy rice and cream. The second is a hand-crafted strawberry cake with a milk chocolate bottom and a strawberry-raspberry infused glaze on the top. Enjoy."

I looked at Hunk, he seemed to be confident with his creation, but I was more with mine. The team tasted my desserts and nodded, smiling. Keith and Lance began to fight over the chocolate one. I couldn't blame them. On my planet, we had a customer almost choke another over one of our desserts. I giggled as they all smiled in delight and looked up at the ceiling in bliss.

"This is truly amazing!" Allura complimented, nodding in satisfaction. I smiled.

"Thank you, Princess," I giggled, bowing and walking towards Hunk, collecting the plates along the way. I smirked at the yellow paladin as he gave me a smile. I raised a brow while looking at the platter he was carrying, encased in a shiny silver top. He brought his plate to the table and opened it. It was... a flat bread thing of some sort that was covered in chocolate sauce and these red berries... along with a scoop of this solid... glump that was white and with a... brown stick of a wafer at the side... Interesting.

"What is that?" I questioned, tilting my head. Hunk looked surprised, but then his facial features softened.

"It's called a crepe, and ice cream."

"Creep? I-Ice Cram?" I asked, furrowing my brows, "Sounds like something an Earthling would make."

"I'm going to take that as a compliment," he chuckled. I looked over at the rest of the team and they were thoroughly enjoying the small dessert. I gave a small smile at the large man.

"You need to teach me to make these Earthling dishes sometime."

"I will."

The team had a small discussion and then turned to us again.

"By unanimous vote, (Y/N) wins. I guess, she's not a head chef for nothing, Hunk," Allura snickered. Hunk shot me a smile.

"Well then, Chef (Y/N), let's get to teaching!" he said happily. I giggled.

"I'm starting to like him already."
