55. Kolivan- That Scar
(Requested)
Oddly, if you already haven't noticed, in the past few oneshots I've rambled on a bout Kolivan's scar.
But seriously, who gave it to him?
You're about to find out.

I sucked in a breath as walked towards my commanding officer.
"Commander Kolivan, Vrepit Sa," I said, holding a hand to my chest. He nodded towards me.
"Have you secured the ranks?"
"Yes sir."
"Checked the levels?"
"Yes sir."
"Good. Well then, you are free to go. Be back when I call you." He turned away, letting my heart sink a little.
"C-Comander Kolivan-"
"I said you are free to go, General (Y/N)," he snarled, whipping his head around. I winced.
"Y-Yes sir..." I muttered, "Vrepit Sa." I knew he was too cold to let anyone in.
Not after he got that scar.
(Flashback in a Flashback)
"Kolivan!" I said happily to the general. I remembered that time when he still was a general, like me.
"(Y/N)," he responded, shaking my hand.
"How are you and Cynthia?" I flinched a bit hearing her name. Kolivan and her were planning on getting married when he went up a rank.
"Everything is going great!" he responded, day-dreamily, "We're going to have the most wonderful family!" I laughed, slightly in an annoyed tone.
"I-I'm happy for you," I said, "I hope everything goes well. Your happiness is the number one priority." He smiled at me, and my heart almost melted.
"I hope I get ranked higher soon."

I gasped as I saw her lifeless body on the floor.
Blood.
Scars.
Memories.
I can't lose this.
My Kolivan.
No, please, don't hurt him.
No,
No.
NO!
I gasped and sat upright in the bed. I touched my face, tears leaking down. I remembered it all.
The excuse was a lie.
I have to say something.
I stumbled across the platform, my body almost collapsing, hand gripped tight around the blade that I had carried for the longest time.
My time is almost running out. I have to tell Kolivan everything.
Zarkon knew where the base was.
He was going to strike.
Tonight.

I paced back and forth, thinking harder than ever before.
"Thace can secure the lower ranks, while I'll deal with the higher ranks. Krolia and Brexak both have the sentries and priests, and then I'll inject a virus," I thought, nodding my head. Why was I so worried?
It was probably because Kolivan was the head of the Blade, therefore making him the Galra's biggest target.
I got an alert, saying that Kolivan's base was being attacked first.
"Everyone, stay in your positions!"
"We can't! It's overwhelming!"
"The base has been broken through! The fighter jets are zapping it to pieces!"
The world seemed to go in slow motion as I heard Kolivan's scream echo through the intercom.
"Kolivan!" I yelled. I whipped my head around.
"Thace, cover for me, please. The headquarter needs my help."
"Copy that. Go save them, (Y/N)."
(Timeskip)
I sprinted inside and whipped my sword out, slashing through the rubble.
"Kolivan!" I screamed, tears running down my face, "Please! Everyone needs you!" I uncovered most of the members, who were still struggling to breath, as I saw Kolivan on the bottom of the pile, arms and legs crushed underneath the stone and metal.
"Kolivan!" I grunted as I dragged him out, leaning down to perform CPR on him. I pushed his chest, my own heaving with sobs. I checked for a pulse and almost fainted with relief as he coughed once.
"What the hell...?" he grunted, fluttering his yellow eyes open. I tackled him in a hug and sobbed.
"You're alive!" I shouted in relief, voice shaky from all the crying, "I thought you were dead!" The group members all crowded around me.
"I-I saw Cynthia... Why didn't you let me go?" he whispered, grabbing both my cheeks, "Why didn't you let me go there?" I touched the scar on his face.
"Kolivan, I'm sorry. I couldn't let you go. It was for the mission," I said coldly, standing up, clenching my jaw and my hand, hot tears running down my face, now from anger.
"You bastard, you stupid bastard."
(Timeskip)
It was about six years now, and we had defeated the so called Galra empire. I wasn't young and naive anymore. I had matured to be a grown woman. I wasn't caught up in relationships and chasing my emotions, but now only mission and whatnot.
I too, had gotten a few more scars of my own.
I stepped off the ship and walked onto the barren land, steps echoing through the quietness of the atmosphere.
"Is everything alright?" I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
"Fine, Lotor," I replied, walking towards the stone. He placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Lotor, not now, please," I said calmly, kneeling to the ground. He let out a sigh and knelt down with me.
"Kolivan, I hope you are happy with Cynthia. Goodbye now, I hope you're proud. Please, rest now," I whispered, kissing the gravestone, "We love you." I stood up, a tear falling onto the ground, sprouting a small purple flower.
Lotor wrapped an arm around my shoulders and helped me up.
"I'm sorry, (Y/N)."
"Don't be. His death wasn't your fault, Lotor. He's happier, up there, without me."
