8. The Altean's Little Secret

This might not be an "x Reader", however, I came up with this idea by myself and thought it would be very cool to write, considering the readers of many Voltron Oneshot books never thought the Alteans to be very... evil??? Huehuehue... Be prepared my dear readers, for a wild roller coaster ride...

WARNING: Ahead, there are dark themes and possible gore. You have been warned.

I gasped as the whip from the machine hit me once again, leaving a searing blue mark on my arm.

"Behave, Galran," the automated voice called out, the tone sending shivers down my spine.

"I didn't do anything, please... let me go..." I cried, teardrops falling from my eyelashes and onto my lap.

"The Princess is coming, so you better stay put, virus." The voice shut off and the door slid open to reveal a grim-faced Allura.

"Have you been behaving, Galran scum?" she snarled, lifting a hand to reveal a ball of blue energy.

"I have, m-mistress..."

"Did I tell you not to stutter whenever you speak?!" she screamed, zapping me with pure energy. I yelled in agony and collapsed onto the floor. I saw her eyes look at the water droplets on my lap.

"How many times do I have to tell you, NO CRYING, YOU PIECE OF WORTHLESS TRASH!" I shrieked as another bolt of energy hit me.

"Whatever, that's enough for today. I won't be so nice next time." She left the chamber and locked the door several times. I sobbed into my hands as I looked at my bruised body.

"Why did it have to be me?"

(Third Person)

The paladins were having milkshakes in the main room when all of a sudden they heard muffled yelling. All of them shot up simultaneously.

"Allura!" they yelled as they grabbed their bayards. They rushed down to the zapping and screaming noise. They cautiously drew their weapons as the paladins leaned closer to hear what was happening.

"How many times do I have to tell you, NO CRYING, YOU PIECE OF WORTHLESS TRASH!" they heard, then another zap. The yelling sounded like Allura. The humans looked at each other, bewildered at what had just happened.

"...I won't be so nice next time," the feminine voice said again, growling. The paladins heard multiple locks click and the fluffing of hair. Readying their weapons, they pointed at the being. It was Allura. They lowered their weapons and gave her a questioning glance. The princess looked surprised and the slightest bit... nervous? She giggled softly.

"Paladins, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in the lounge room?" she asked innocently.

"...We came here to see what all the racket was about, we all heard screaming and lightning zapping," Keith said, transporting his bayard into his suit. She softly laughed, silently shooting glares at the paladins.

"It was nothing."

"Are you sure, Princess? I thought I heard these blood-curdling screams from down here," Pidge said, adjusting her glasses.

"Nothing, nothing!~ Go, you must all be tired," she shooed, making 'go away' motions with her hands at the paladins.

"No, as defenders of the galaxy, it's our duty to protect everyone in this universe," Shiro said, "Now, with all due respect, Princess, please let us see."

"No," Allura stated calmly, blocking the entrance with her arms. The paladins' eyes narrowed as they readied their weapons once again.

"Let. Us. In. Allura."

"I said NO."

"If you don't let us in, we'll have to force you to."

"I said no, as Princess of Altea, and the Pilot of this Castleship, I command you to back away."

"... I'm sorry Princess. Lance, Keith, restrain her. Pidge, Hunk, bust open the door," Shiro said firmly. Everyone nodded and sprang into action. Allura yelled and struggled to get out of the boys' iron grips. Shiro could see Lance's and Keith's faces of guilt, but continued nevertheless. Once Pidge and Hunk finally cracked the door open, they were horrified at their discovery.

(Reader's POV)

I slipped in and out of consciousness as I heard snippets of what conversation was to be held outside.

"Let us... force you to... back away... I'm sorry." I gasped as I saw light flooding into my containment quarters.

"What is this?!" someone roared. I winced and whimpered.

"Don't hurt me again, I swear, I don't know anything! Please, don't zap me again, I was just passing by!" I yelled, balling myself up. The person who came through the doorway put a hand on my back.

"Hey-"

"Get away! You're just hear to hurt me, just like the mistress!" I wailed, slamming my fist onto the wall, not caring if it bled or not.

"We just want to help you,-"

"LIES! That's what she," I yelled as I pointed at Allura, "told me! She tore apart my family, blamed it on Zarkon, and got away bullshit free!" I glared at Allura as her blood boiled. She met the faces of the humans and turned pale.

"Sh-She's lying! She's Galra! A traitor!" Allura said, pointing at me, "She's done nothing but trouble!"

"What kind of monster do you think gave me these whip-marks and never fucking treated them, dumb-ass?!" I yelled, getting up, pain coursing through my body, "I don't think I did it to myself! Did I kill every member of my family and send their cosmic dust to blow away in space? Did I unwittingly lock myself up in this hell-hole and activate this beast to whip me every tick? NO! You did, you selfish dick!" I was breathing heavily as I took step by step closer to the princess.

"Get away from me, you monster!" Allura shrieked, power radiating from her arms, "You're going to kill me, just like you did to my planet!" I chuckled darkly.

"Maybe I AM just a fucking monster, a monster that would be the worst of your nightmares," I growled as I got on all fours and pounced towards the Altean female. A slap to my face knocked me down before I could sink my teeth into her dark flesh. I widened my yellow eyes and looked towards the humans.

"You said you would help me, you're all LIARS! JUST LIKE HER! TRAITORS!" I bellowed before seeing all black.

(Timeskip)

I woke up in a cyro-pod, before tumbling to the floor. I looked at my purple arms. They were... healed? I sighed and got up, muscles rippling in the pale blue light. I started to walk towards the door, but I was stopped by a booming voice.

"Hold your place, before we shoot," a voice commanded. I growled and turned towards the direction of the voice. The five weird humans were aiming guns and swords to me. I snarled and bared my teeth.

"Who are you?" the red one asked.

"Why should I tell you? You know her, so I can't trust you. Identify yourselves first." The red one sighed and lifted his helmet.

"I'm Keith, the red paladin. This is Lance, Hunk, Pidge, and Shiro. We are paladins of Voltron."

"Voltron? Voltron my fucking ass! Never, Allura must have hypnotized you."

"We are the real paladins!"

"HA! That's funny, I never knew a fucking mullet like you could make such jokes," I smirked, but realized I didn't have my blade. I hissed and placed a hand on my back, but felt no solid substance.

"Where is Kolivan? Where is Thace? Where is Ulaz? Where is my blade?!" I yelled, my yellow eyes narrowing at the 'paladins.' They gave me a look of surprise, slowly taking out my knife. I growled and lunged for the blade, but was stopped by a blaster to the head. I yelped in agony and bent down, coughing out blood.

"I will never trust you, EVER! If my fellow blades have seen what you've done to me, they will rebel, they will never work with you again, you will be destroyed by the Galra, and I will stand among your corpses and laugh, laugh until I, myself, too, have DIED!" I screamed, breaths uneven. The humans gasped and jumped away, slightly frightened.

"GIVE. ME. MY. BLADE. HUMAN." They looked at me with wide eyes, handing over the blade. I took ahold of it, a new surge of energy flowing through my veins. I sighed in content.

"Take me to your princess. Immediately. We some things to work out."

(Timeskip)

I glared at Allura as she squirmed in her hot seat.

"A-Allura, i-is this true?" Shiro asked, staring at her with his icy gray eyes. She couldn't look at anyone, not even the weird orange-haired dude with the mustache.

"..."

"Seriously? I had expected better from you, Allura. Not all Galra are bad, you should know, since Ulaz DIED for us. Thace risked his life for us. Kolivan and the others were going to DIE for us." My head shot up.

"THEY DIED FOR YOU?! THEY WERE LIKE BROTHERS TO ME AND YOU LET THEM DIE? FOR A PATHETIC, WORTHLESS WUSS LIKE YOU, YOU DESERVE NO CROWN AS THE PRINCESS OF FUCKING ALTEA, YOU DESERVE TO ROT LIKE THEM IN THE GALRA BATTLEFIELD!" I raged, standing up and punching Allura square in the jaw. She started to cry and sob, while the others were restraining me.

"Let go of me! You don't know how long I have been trapped in that containment chamber! How long I have been trying to escape! How long this beast has been torturing me! My friends died for this woman! She's a murderer! She doesn't deserve to cry! She has no mercy!" I kicked my captors in the groin and shins and started to advance onto the Altean. I slashed her face, broke her legs, and broke her neck.

"Die." I went for the final blow, when something shot me and made me tumble to the floor, unable to move. A net. I struggled against my bonds until my anger subsided. I sighed and broke the bonds, dusting myself off.

"Just contact Kolivan to come pick me up. Don't expect the Blade of Marmora to be in an alliance with you anymore, paladins," I spat, grabbing my blade as it transformed into a sword. Once the orange haired mustache guy messaged Kolivan, in less than a tick, a rebel ship came speeding forwards. I ran towards Kolivan and embraced him, tears streaming down both of our cheeks as we cried into each other. I used a code that we formed to tell him about the whole Allura deal. Once I was done, he glared at the white-haired female.

"The Blade of Marmora expected better, from a ruler of a planet, Princess Allura. I thought we could trust you, but I was clearly mistaken. You let your own hatred and bias get in the way of the general good, and now you have lost an ally against the fight of the Galra. The Blade and its members will still be fighting the Galra, but when we see any of you, we will not hesitate to open-fire." Kolivan looked coldly at the Voltron team, then turned away.

"There is a spare suit in the hangar for you, (Y/N)," Kolivan said, softly, placing a hand on my back, looking at the scars on my body. I smiled lightly in thanks and proceeded to walk towards our ship. I looked back at the paladins one last time.

"I guess you found me, I'm the Altean's Little Secret, after all."
