Choi Beomgyu has come to the conclusion that he has fallen completely in love with his best friend, Kang Taehyun. yet, his friend's mind seems to be on something else- or someone else for that matter.

"did you see him on the news earlier? i swear he's literally perfect". Beomgyu lightly pouted as Taehyun, once again, began complimenting their lovely neighbourhood Spider-man.

yep. you heard that right.

Taehyun has the biggest crush on the superhero and isn't quiet about it. almost the whole school knows about his crush on the guy. this is where Beomgyu's problem comes in..

he is Spider-man.

he has to listen to his best friend, and crush, swooning over.. him? surely it would be the ideal situation, right? knowing your crush likes you back without them knowing it's you that they like.

"yeah.. he's definitely something". Taehyun turned to face Beomgyu with a small gasp and Beomgyu's pout immediately disappeared.

"what do you have against Spider-man?". Beomgyu raised his hands in surrender and softly laughed as he took a bite of the sandwich he was holding.

"i don't have anything against him, just, why do you like him so much? you don't even know who he really is. he could end up being some ugly old guy".

Taehyun sighed before grabbing Beomgyu's shoulders and looking into the olders eyes. "do you really think an old man could swing through the city so effortlessly?".

Beomgyu, mouth filled with bread, just shrugged and looked back to the food in front of him. "all i'm saying is, don't get your hopes up when you find out who he really is".

it was a couple of nights later when Beomgyu was doing his nightly checks around the city as Spider-man when he saw two people hidden deep in an alleyway.

he quietly jumped down from the building he was on and hid behind the closest bins. "leave me alone, i've told you enough times already!".

"come on, baby, you and i both know you were asking for it". Beomgyu didn't need to hear any more before shooting a couple of webs at the guys wrists, pinning him to the wall.

the second person there lightly gasped as he saw Spider-man coming towards him. Beomgyu slightly smiled when he saw who it was. Taehyun.

he calmly walked past Taehyun and up to the guy who was now staring at him in shock. "that's not very nice of you, you know"

the guy didn't say anything and Beomgyu squinted his eyes at him, making the eyes on his suit squint with him. "you were so confident a second ago, what happened?".

the guy continued to stare and Beomgyu rolled his eyes under the suit, which he knew the man couldn't see. "just.. go. don't bother anyone else or i'll report you".

the man nodded vigorously before running off as soon as Beomgyu cut the webs around his wrists. once the man was gone, silence filled the alley.

Beomgyu then remembered Taehyun was still there watching and turned to face his friend, who obviously didn't know it was him.

"are you alright, sir?". he tried to act as if he didn't know who Taehyun was. the younger boy quickly nodded. "i'm probably- you don't need to call me sir".

Beomgyu almost let out a laugh at Taehyun's reaction and decided to play along, knowing his friend had a crush on this side of him.

"well, what's your name then-" "Taehyun! my name- is taehyun". "so, Taehyun, would you like me to escort you home?".

the boy nodded once again so Beomgyu walked closer to him and wrapped an arm around his waist. "hold on tight, alright?".

Taehyun wrapped his arms tightly around Beomgyu's neck and his legs around Beomgyu's waist before closing his eyes. not even seconds later, they were flying through the city.

"hey Taehyun, open your eyes!". Beomgyu laughed as Taehyun's eyes opened wide and spread even bigger when he realised he was almost fifty stories in the air.

a small scream escaped Taehyun's lips and he closed is eyes once more, not opening them again until he was on the ground.

"here we are, safe and sound". Beomgyu softly spoke as he placed Taehyun down on the small balcony of his dorm room.

he then hung himself upside down on the bar of the balcony above. "thank you, for saving me". Beomgyu smiled under the mask but he knew Taehyun wouldn't be able to see it.

"i save people every day, why would i leave you out?". Taehyun didn't respond and silently took a step closer and now the two were face to face, yet Beomgyu was upside down.

"my friend said that you're an old man". Beomgyu couldn't hold back the small laugh after hearing those words.

"well-", before he could finish his words, he saw Taehyun reaching for the bottom of his mask. his breathing stopped as he felt the mask revealing his lips, and stopping at the tip of his nose.

Beomgyu then decided to finish his sentence, "tell your friend.. i'm definitely not an old man..", his voice came out in a whisper.

Taehyun then slowly moved his hand from the mask to Beomgyu's cheek. the two fell into silence for a couple of seconds until Taehyun's other hand cupped Beomgyu's other cheek.

Beomgyu then realised what was happening when he saw Taehyun leaning closer. his mind wasn't allowed to process the situation until Taehyun's lips touched his.

the youngers lips felt softer than he had ever imagined, and that was a lot. a soft gasp left his lips when they came into contact but he quickly melted into it.

the kiss lasted no longer than five seconds, yet it felt like it lasted a lifetime. there was no sound but their breathing when they pulled back.

"definitely not an old man". Taehyun's words broke the moment and sent the two into a small fit of laughter.

"well, you should probably get inside. you don't want to worry your roommate do you?". Taehyun quietly nodded as he let go of Beomgyu's face.

Taehyun then turned to walk into his dorm and made it as far as the sofa before hearing something behind him. "wait! Taehyun.."

the boy turned around to face Spider-man, who was now stood upright at his balcony doorway. he heard a deep sigh escape the hero's lips before he reached for the bottom of his mask.

Taehyun watched as the mask lifted to reveal the lips he had just kissed, nose, almost reaching his eyes until- "you don't have to reveal your identity to me-"

"but i want to". the mask was still only revealing Spider-man's lips and nose, which Taehyun thought were oddly familiar.

"why me, though? i'm just some random guy you-", just as Taehyun was about to finish speaking, the hero in front of him grabbed the rest of his mask and pulled it off.

"you're not just some random guy i saved, Tae". Taehyun was frozen in place. the last person he ever imagined to be Spider-man, was stood in front of him in a Spider-man suit.

and it was the same guy he had just kissed..

"you.. you're Spider-man?". Taehyun slowly took a couple of steps closer after realising Beomgyu had also stepped further into the dorm.

he had questioned in his mind before, how had Spider-man known where his dorm was if he didn't ask? and now his question was answered.

"i knew there was a reason i liked Spider-man so much". Taehyun kept walking forward as he spoke. "wait what?".

Beomgyu spoke out in confusion but was immediately silenced when Taehyun grabbed the back of his head and pressed their lips together once again.

this kiss felt different to the first, this one was filled with more feelings and lasted even longer. the two kissed until they ran out of breath and Beomgyu's eyes widened slightly when they pulled away.

"you have no idea how glad i am it's you. i was so torn between liking both you and Spider-man- which is also you- ugh this is all so confusing!".

"you like me?"

"i like you and Spider-man- well you-"

Beomgyu couldn't help but let out a laugh and tilt his head back, hitting it lightly on the wall behind him.

"well, i like you too, Tae"

".. oh my God."

the pair jumped apart and looked over to where the voice had come from. it was Taehyun's roommate, Huening Kai.

Beomgyu's eyes widened and he turned around in panic, forgetting that Huening Kai had already seen his face. Taehyun sarcastically laughed and waved at his roommate.

"this is not something i thought i'd ever see". before the younger could question him anymore, Beomgyu put the mask back on his head and faced Taehyun.

"i need to uh, continue patrolling the city. see you tomorrow?". Taehyun just nodded, still in shock at the fact that Kai had walked out on the two of them, and now knew Beomgyu was Spider-man.

Beomgyu jumped out of the window and the two roommates looked at each other.

"no fair, you get both of your crushes?"
