"If Eren takes over the first thing he's going to do is tear me down, you know that."

"So then why aren't you in favor of this plan? It has the potential to create a future in which we don't need to worry about any of that. Isn't that the goal?"

"I admit it was shitty of me to start accusing your sister of not caring about you, I said that because I was angry, I'm sorry." Levi started, his gaze looked hesitant, "but it's true that it bothers me."

He made eye contact with me, sighing a little, "Look, I don't doubt that she's a good person," Levi assured me. "She would make a very competent ruler, but I'm worried about her ambition."

"Ambition can be both positive and negative, isn't it unfair to condemn her for that?"

"She is more than willing to drag other people into her plot," Levi quickly continued cutting me off before I could get another word in. "Regardless of whether or not you support her, it does not change the fact that she is using our struggle to advance her cause."

"What happens in the future?" Levi asked, "she's proven herself more than capable of looking at the tools in front of her and picking the sharpest one. The ducal household is very powerful Y/N, it's likely that we will be called upon in the future."

"If we go there and Historia doesn't agree to drafting a contract and setting terms for some sort of agreement we can walk right out of there and I'll admit that I was wrong about everything."

i really do- i don't think that historia is trying to use us in that way but

if she doesn't agree to a contract that image will have shattered
