I woke up in a chair, strapped down by multiple straps and buckles, locks and chains and cuffs hindering my movement. It took a second for my eyes to adjust to the dim lighting that they had in the room, I blinked and groaned.
"Now what the hell- Oh." My gaze of confusion turned into a glare of resentment as I found my figure being watched by the multitude of villains that tried to attack the camp. I sighed and clenched my jaw, not wanting to even look at them. I could feel Shigaraki's smirk from all the way across the room. God, I hated him.
"Dabi, release their restraints, now that they're finally awake." How stupid was he? The scarred villain turned to him in a non-caring way, a slight lilt to his voice.
"Huh? You know they're going to fight, right?" Tomura shrugged and spread his arms, the tone of his voice making my insides squirm.
"Of course, but we have to treat them as equals! Of course, since we're recruiting them!" He turned to me, one of his hands covering his face. "Besides, you're smart enough to tell if you can win in this situation, right UA student?" I wanted to shout in his face, I really did, but something in my mind forced the words right back down my throat.
Dabi took one look at me and turned to his associate.
"Twice, you do it." The masked figure gasped in surprise.
"What? Me? No way."
"Do it."
"Okay, okay, fine. Man..." I looked around the room as 'Twice' undid the locks and unhooked the chains that were holding me down. My eyes immediately stuck to the white and black masked guy who'd kidnapped me in the first place.
"I apologize for using such forceful methods. But please understand that we are not just a mob trying to commit crimes."
"We didn't kidnap you on accident," Twice piped up, still busy with the ropes.
"And even though our situation differ," Shigaraki continued, standing up. "Everyone here has been restricted or suffered because of people, rules, and heroes. So what do you say?" Twice was finally done and I looked at my wrists, and felt my neck, fingers gingerly gliding over the red marks from the encounter before camp.
"What do I say?" My voice started at a low rumble, head bowed down, still sitting in the chair. "What do I say?" I repeated the phrase as I got louder and stood up, looking at the villains with the most fury and intensity I've ever felt in my entire life.
"You tell me what the hell I say, Shigaraki Tomura." I picked up the chair from behind me and threw it at him, giving him barely enough time to register and dodge the attempt to smash his skull. The chair cracked into the wall, making a dent then shattered, broken pieces of wood laying on the floor. I glared at the people in the room, pointing towards all of them.
"I've been neglected. I've been told that I couldn't make it. I had doubts, and sometimes I felt like I was the loneliest person in the world. But to sit here silently and hear you blabber about an excuse for killing people makes me feel even lonelier. Because I know the only reason you have me here is because I don't have a quirk, and that somehow justifies my hatred in everything hero. Because they're glorified? Well, news flash, I don't really hate anything!
"Except your haircut. You look like a mop. Sorry not sorry." Tomura clenched their fist and started to dictate his team.
"Kurogiri, Compress, make them go to sleep again."
"I never knew it was this easy to piss you off! If I'd known sooner, I would have done it a lot more!" As the two villains advanced, I planned my escape.
"I still have my staff in my pocket, which I don't think they know I have," I thought, trying to feel around without being obvious. "I think I also have a few smoke bombs I got from Kaminari for the scaring of Class 1B." I looked towards the door, readying to enact my plan until someone knocked.
"Hello, this is Pizza-la, Camino Store." The room went quiet for a split second until the wall literally burst open, knocking the lizard guy to the ground. I got a glimpse of yellow, red, white, and blue, and my heart immediately started to beat rapidly.
My eyes could barely catch up in the action as the villains were quickly taken care of, as All Might stood tall and proud, smile as wide as before. My eyes glimmered and my mouth hung open in admiration.
"All... Might?" He looked over at me and gave me a thumbs-up.
"Sorry for taking so long, Young (L/N)! I hope you weren't too scared."
"Of course not, are you kidding?" I exclaimed, flustered. All Might laughed and finally faced the squadron of villains.
"I hope you know, all of you, that you've lost today. Tomura Shigaraki, and the League of Villains will not prevail!" The ground shook as the "All American" hero grew angry, my body trembling with the just the sheer force of his rage.
"Didn't I tell you it would be in your best interest to stay put? Kenji Hikiishi, Atsuhiro Saiko, Shuichi Iguchi, Himiko Toga, Jin Bubaigawara." An elderly man in a yellow and white suit spoke, glaring at the group of offenders. "With little time, the police worked through the night to determine your true identities. Do you understand? There's no where left for you to run." The villains grew tense as they sensed that they were beaten and outnumbered.
I felt a sense of relief as I turned to All Might, who had remained silent, a smile gracing his face again, but it looked more forced than anything. I started to approach him, hoping to thank him before I would be taken to the hospital.
But black holes appeared in the ground and in the walls, completely engulfing everything that they touched.
"Edgeshot! What is this?"
"It's not Kurogiri!" I looked around in a panic, my breathing beginning to grow labored, my throat closing up in the middle of a panic. I scratched at my neck as I stumbled backwards, tripping over my own two feet in the middle of a panic attack.
I gasped lightly as I fell, blackness engulfing my body once again, the last thing I saw being All Might's panicked face, and his hand, reaching out to grab me, but missing, a few inches away from safety.
