It was a typical day at GDT Arcane Books. Douxie was sweeping the floors as usual. "Magic isn't a permissible shortcut to hard work..." He muttered to himself while brushing the tiles to and fro. DING! The bell to the door chimed through the silence, with no other sound but the bristles swiping the floor. "Hey, Douxie!" "How's everything going?" Claire greeted brightly. Her sweet voice lit up the room's mood. Steve and Toby entered along as followed. "We have no missions today, so we're technically all free!" She resumed. Douxie let out a small sigh, rubbing his forehead. "Well, I must say, you know, everything's alright, cleaning up. You know the usual" He let out a dry chuckle. Toby and Steve were goofing around with objects that lay on top a table as he spoke.

Douxie sat on the nearby chair, rubbing his forehead once again, "Something just feels like...I'm not sure" as Claire crouched beside him, resting her hand on his back she spoke. "You seem tired, why not a day off? We do have a new friend we forgot to mention, we'll introduce her to you once we get her!" She suggested joyfully. Archie, the shapeshifting cat-like associate of Douxie, had come through the open window of the bookstore. "Good day, Claire, Douxie" He politely said. "Hey, Archie!" Claire smiled. "I'll bring in the new friend! Well, almost new, about 2 weeks" she chuckled. Archie approached a silent area of the bookstore to take a snuggly cat-nap.

[ Y/N's POV : ]

As I saw Claire's hands drag me into the lovely bookstore, I was swept into many wonders. "Woah..." I murmured in amazement. I stood near the entrance, staring at the next best thing that caught my eye. The tall, dazzling dude that had indigo streaks in his hair, and a terribly swept fringe smiled awkwardly. "Come on, (y/n/n) , another emo dude? But he seems no trouble, he looks charming, actually" I thought to myself. "Uh, hi! My name's (y/n), but you can call me (y/n/n)! I'm technically another friend of Claire's" I blurted out. "Greetings, Milady," The man bowed playfully with a warm smile, "Was that you that helped defeat one of those weird monsters?" He resumed knowing he had seen me before. "Name's Douxie, by the way, nice to meet you!" He grinned.

"Yeah, Aja gave me one of her spare serrators, uh-- Akiridion tech, I think." I explained. Claire's next words were about to be spoken, but were interrupted by the clamouring of Tobias and Steve, due to one of the candles that fell off the table. " 'buttsnack' , huh?" I giggled from the words of Steve, then glanced toward the direction of Claire. "Oh, my, Claire, so sorry, please, continue!" I apologised. "Right! We were hoping if we'd all go the park on Saturday if you're all free!" Claire put one hand on her hip, smiling. "Ohhhh, fuzzbuckets!" Said the tall man "I need to confirm with Zoe if she's ok with that, she wanted help with CDS and that sort..." He resumed, quite disappointed "But I will see what I can do" He finished. " 'fuzzbuckets' " I thought, giggling softly, "what a cute phrase, he should be worth a try.." I suggested to myself in my thoughts again... Something tells me this will definitely be worth my time...
